East of Eden (2008)

Have many similarities.
Both of them about siblings who suffered in childhood because of one devil villain who destroyed their family. Then, they grow up and have revenge towards the villain.
Both of them also have background of 1980s-1990s

Aside from family revenge things, they have other different themes.
East of eden involve switching brothers at birth and their consequences in their future life

Subtle biblical references, relationships between brothers, extreme situations that make characters go through emotional crisis and very tearful melodrama, all the ingredients are found in both dramas.

It's very similar, involving hospitals, brotherly feuds, and the deep sense of revenge.

both dramas have a mix up at the hospital where the babies were born and both have the same male lead

Both dramas are about revenge and have complex story line. GT is more about politics and EoE is more about gangsters.

they have similar things - casino's, revenge, poor people against a rich guy that killed their dad - a mining town - history - brothers that don't know they are brothers...ectra..

poor and rich type of drama. crying scenes are gold. EoE is a really long series but BK is only 30. I love tak gu so much but cant find another drama thats similar. But EoE is near the same but different storyline (no cooking involved) but if you love a good ol OST, this one has some good ones in my opinion.

- The bromance is similar: Both have an older brother deeply caring for their younger brother.
- Complicated relationships
- Lead role and older brother doing the dirty work to provide for their family/ little bro

Brotherly sacrifice. It's my fave korean drama. It's about 2 brothers. And tells a story of how the big Bro sacrifices his life for his family.. A story of love, family ... just amazing

- The story line is very different.. In Breathless, the big brother is very disciplined and is a role model to everyone around him

Both very melodramatic dealing with identity as heavy themes and involve a lot of revenge of good characters vs evil characters.
