My Love, Enlighten Me (2020)

The male lead reminds me of Gu We Yi and the way that their relationship starts it’s almost the same

Both dramas' main character are failed idols. We follow them as they adjust to "normal" life and have to deal with regrets of not succeeding. Working a "normal" job isn't easy either, and love life gets complicated too.
Will they manage to find joy again?

- the leads' personalities resemble one another: both female leads are bubbly and passionate, while the male leads are geniuses with a cold personality
- the male lead falls first, and although there are initial disagreements, gradually they begin to notice the other and the romance develops from there
- even the female leads' faces and styling are similar

I know these are totally different genre drama and storyline, but:

+ ML are oddly cute with his antics and sarcatic words, while the FL is kind and brave. they are kinda similiar in a different way tho!
+ The relationship between lead is strangely comedic yet romantic.
+ PETS, drama that has pets in the storyline always convice me.
+ Warm friendship. I love the girls friendship in both dramas.

Anyway, those two are my faves ^^

In both dramas the ml feels like he owes a secondary fl because she saved his life, but he finds out that it was really the fl. They are both fluffy and light. The ml are both really strict about the house rules and there is cohabitation.

The female lead goes through a tough time in the beginning and her life starts to turn for the better after meeting the male lead.

Both about a man who has Hyperthymesia (Remembers pretty much every moment in their life in great detail), due to this they remember something that really hurt them in the past. But their condition eventually leads them to finding the female lead and falling in love despite both leads having struggles due to the past.

Both male leads are well known (FMIYM= News Anchor. MLEM= Visual Artist/Photographer). Both female leads have a bit of popularity but are trying to make a name for themselves (FMIYM= Actress. MLEM= Ex Idol, trying to get fame in fashion industry)

MLEM I would say is more of a Rom-Com with only a few serious themes.

Both have cohabitation between the leads that becomes a romance. The MLs are distant and highly intelligent, approaching everything mathematically/scientifically, FLs are naïve and sweet.

When watching OMSHOM, it reminded me of MLEM. ML & FL navigate the relationship and the obstacles they encounter in the entertainment industry.

-In both the FL saves the ML's life but he mistakes somebody else for her.
-Both have a successful ML who helps the FL realize her dreams.
-Both have the MCs living together from early episodes.
-Both revolve around the entertainment business
-In both the dramas the best friend of the ML falls for the FL's best friend (secondary couple with a mostly separate storyline)
-love square situations in both.

Both dramas have a similar plot, yet, gives off very different feelings. If you like either one of them, I suggest you watch the other one too <3

Similar atmosphere, successful and awkward ML, bright FL who at first didn't have a good impression on ML but gradually becomes to like him.

Both have a FL in a entertainment/fashion industry (makeup and livestreaming vs. singer and later clothing designer). MLs are cold at first then very doting when they fall on love. The secondary couples are very similar in both shows with a softer male who chases her vs. colder more distant female who pushes him away at first.

-Both dramas talk about fashion designer
-I think Tong XiaoYou and Liu Nuan Nuan are so similar. Their personalities are so adorable and lovely.
-If you are a huge fan of rom-com dramas then it might be your choice.

In both, the bubbly/optimistic FL changes the ML's seemingly cold personality. MYEM is slightly darker and less romanticized, but it does have sweet moments that sometimes reminded me of ALSB.
