One of the best CDramas I've seen
Basically this was of the few Cdramas I looked forward to every week. The actors were extremely believable and did not over act their parts. The girls didn't act dumb and submissive which can be very cliché for Cdramas. And the chemistry between the two leads was undeniable. You can feel their love on the the screen which made this drama so so watchable. The plot was unique and the episodes didn't drag like some Cdramas. The supporting casts had their own unique stories and kept the drama interesting.Please watch it, don't waste your time on other high school Chinese dramas, this one will be up there and it will be your most remembered.

Interesting story, smart leads
STORY: Great story. Different than the traditional rich man, poor girl. In forever love, both the guy and girl are smart and capable and come from well to do families (not anymore for the boy). Development of the relationship between the two main leads is entertaining to watch. A simple story but so nicely done and original.EXECUTION: Acting is great from everyone on set. Some episodes has start with a time skip to the marriage between the two main leads, I personally really enjoy the time skips. Main couple gets together EP 12. Main couple doesn't breakup and make things unnecessarily complicated. Music is great and quality of the show is on par with expectations.
OVERALL: After finishing this show, I changed my review from 8.5 to 10/10. I really enjoyed the simplicity of this show. Forever love reminds me of Le coup de flounder. Watch if you enjoy school to marriage romances, back story, and capable male/female leads. This drama seems to be a good pick for learning Chinese if you'r interested.

From the first episode , I was hook towards this drama . Both the mc pairing was so beautiful . They are truly adorable and chemistry was on on point .The school and college episode was the best but after that the story started boring . The last few episodes was not what I was expected . I really wanted to see their wedding . I really like that mc are capable and independent . Specially fl is not clumsy and dumb like in other drama and that is a plus point of this drama.
The second couple story was very bad . I think writer should develop second leads story as well .

Amazing
This is by far the best story of how two characters fall in love with each other that I have seen in Chinese dramas and it definitely ranks in my top in the entire world of drama.It is not the typical drama in which the male protagonist is perfect, intelligent, outstanding in everything, popular, with zero tact towards other people and the other million characteristics that they add, those that make it seem that everyone falls before him. It is not the typical drama where the protagonist is made to act like a fool, where they are infantilized, no, there is nothing like that here.
Although the male protagonist is intelligent and good at everything he does, at the same time he is a guy who knows how to show what he feels, who always fought for what he wanted, who at all times showed loyalty to her, never hurt her, he was at his side always and most importantly, everything he promised in the end he fulfilled.
As for the female lead, I have to say that she enters my top of main characters in all kinds of dramas (the same happens with the male, but in this case my top 5), from the first episode she showed what she was , I love that they have not done like in other dramas where she is very intelligent at first but later becomes a fool when she falls in love.
She is a woman who from the moment she came of age began to do what she wanted, she was always constant in the decisions that she made, intelligent, too capable, at no time did I doubt him (as he did with her), She did not get carried away by the choices that her mother, a strong woman who when she had problems was able to solve them herself (with the tools she had at her hand), I loved when Qin Yue's parents arrived and did what she did to make it clear that I wanted nothing with him, well, if I keep telling what I feel when I see her I think I will not finish, where Jung Ryeo Won did not exist playing Ma Yi Deum in Witch's court would be for me the best female role in a drama ( In the C-dramas I have seen, I win the position slapping everyone), if maybe I'm exaggerating, but what do you do when you like a character so much?
The secondary characters are doing well, they played their role, their stories in my view were well developed, what I liked the most was the growth they showed, especially Chen Yi Chuan, I have to say that at the beginning I hated it, then I improved a heap.
As for the story in general, there is not much to say, you cannot expect much from it, it is very normal but enjoyable, you can easily finish watching the 28 chapters in two days, it does not bore you, they do not resort to the same situation every Chapter, in general it is very well achieved.
What if I recommend it or do I plan to see it again? The answer is a resounding yes to both questions.

Actual part is... There z no breakup so no drama no patch up.... A purest love that describes ow mutual understanding between eachother matters and friends wo always stays with u in worst and best days....................................................Totally loved it ❤? hero z too handsome and gentle... Such a cute couple, but...
The main couple was wonderful. Theirs was a healthy, loving and supportive relationship. Things got a little hazy midway through - she got an apartment for him, was she staying there too? (after saying she wasn't ready to be with him in a physical way). I really loved the progression of the relationship and some of the friendships.I have to say that her cousin needed to be run over by a truck or something. He was beyond irritating throughout most of the show and a girl blindly liking a total mean guy just never makes any sense to me. There was also the obligatory "you're not good enough for him" wanna be girlfriend as well as "I can take care of her better than you" wanna be boyfriend. That cliche gets really tiresome. And some of the secondary characters were seriously overacting. And the dubbing was somewhat problematic - most of the girls sounded the same.
I had to rate down based on the other cliches of the evil mother and the two year separation. This story arc really bothered me on so many levels. She stood by her man up until this point and then was leaving without letting him know?!?! So immature and it wasn't true to their relationship up to that point. It would have been so much better had the mom said at the airport that she had changed her mind and the daughter didn't have to go. And why leave for two years to "study" when you are part owner of a company?!
All that said, the ML and FL were both wonderful, him especially. When he looked at her...oh my. And can I just say a big THANK YOU for giving us a wedding at the end?

Not a Romance Person, But OMG...
I started watching this drama because I saw clips on DouYin and really needed something to watch. It's amazing.The storyline is fantastic. It doesn't lag around and delay the plot for the sake of episodes; there's a constant stream of events that keeps the storyline going. The characters display growth-- even the "evil" characters. It's realistic in that manner; no character is continuously evil, nor are any continuously good. The character set is phenomenal (though you must admit, our leads are rather lucky to have the friends they do). The mother is realistic; I've seen people be upset at the mom, but she's an amazingly well written Chinese mother. She's like my own mother and I adored her character. Also, some people complain about a lot of time devoted to Gu Xiaoman/Chen Yichuan/Duan Ning's relationship, but I personally enjoyed it. I thought their storyline was very adorable and added to the overall story. Also, Duan Ning! I loved his character.
I hate to admit it, but I'm a skipper. When I get bored, I'll watch on 2 speed or skip. Not this drama. There's enough happening at all times for me to be continuously intrigued and willing to watch.
The leads are perfect together (so much so people are questioning if they're actually a couple). Their chemistry is phenomenal. The acting all around is absolutely fantastic and realistic. I adored every second of it.
The music is great! Haven't found it on Spotify yet, but when I do, it's definitely going in my playlist.
I'm not a romance lover; if you go to my watchlist, majority of my unfinished/unstarted/dropped dramas are romances because I got bored or get bored thinking about it. But this drama was so sweet (much better than Love O2O in my opinion) and adorable. It's absolutely worth it!

Why is this drama so underrated????!!! IT'S SO GOOD
Let me start off by clarifying that I found this drama by pure chance. I was scrolling through YouTube and got a recommendation of a fmv that someone made for this drama. After I watched half of the fmv, I got really intrigued with it and decided to check this drama out. And that is one of the best decision I've ever made in my life!I'm going to start with the story line. There's honestly nothing new with the story line. I had my fair share of Chinese youth drama and I'm well aware of how the story will goes. There are going to be about their high school lives, university lives and work lives, also there's going to be a separations or breakups. I know the story line for youth drama like the back of my hand lol.
But what makes this drama so unique to me is the female lead and male lead.
The female lead is Xia Lin Xi, she's the best female lead in youth drama ever!! No doubt about it. In Chinese drama, it's usually the male lead who is the perfect one but in this drama, it's the female lead. Xia Lin Xi is a clever, beautiful and rich female lead, this is a rarity in Chinese youth drama. She holds the number 1 spot in every exam for her whole grade. I love her from the beginning of this drama until the end of it.
As for the actress, Xiang Han Zhi, it's my first time watching her drama. She's very cute and beautiful. She's a good actress but there were some scene where I think her expressions were quite weird but that honestly doesn't bother me. I've became a fan of her, excited for her future project!
The male lead is Jiang Zheng Han, he is smart but because of the condition of his family, he neglected his studies. He skipped class and didn't answer the exam properly hence he got the bottom spot in every exam. Until Xia Lin Xi came into his life and changed it. I love how strong his love is toward Lin Xi. Lin Xi became his goal to be better and strive for more in life.
As for the actor, Wang An Yu, it's also my first time watching his drama. He's also a good actor but I really want to see him with a different hairstyle. The buzzcut hairstyle suits him but I think he'll look better with longer hairstyle.
Other than the amazing female and male lead in this drama, the relationship between them is also the reason why I extremely love this drama. Ever since they become boyfriend and girlfriend, they solved every problem together. Although sometimes they did keep a secret from each other but when the other knew about it, they didn't fight and instead very calmly discuss about it. There's no annoying misunderstandings between them. I like that this couple is very mature compare with the other youth drama couples. Zheng Han and Lin Xi supports each other and their trust on each other is very strong. No one can shake their relationship, literally.
The side characters are great. My favorite side characters got to be Duan Ning and Qiu Yan, because the other side characters knew the main leads since their high school days but Duan Ning and Qiu Yan met Zheng Han and Lin Xi as their dormmates and their friendship started from there. Although they haven't been friends with the main leads for long but their trusts in them are very solid.
For people who love youth drama, I totally recommend this drama to you. You won't regret it because I don't.

Its Perfect
One Sentence!!!This is the MOST Beautiful story about First Love & Friendship....
This series is the best... U will fall in love again & touches your heart about the strong bond of their friendship... Both characters are strong on their own... i just fall in love with Wang An Yu... goshhhh he is so handsome :D i dont know who will fit his perfect face...
Both Leads carry their character very well. No over acting or childish act to think the FL is only 18 Y.O. and I love how she looks from 18 to Adulthood, not like other Youth Drama their looks in HS is same with college... kudos to the stylist..and again Wang An Yu is exceptionally handsome hehehe...
Its a MUST watch....

Must Watch
At last, I got to watch a teen drama where the leads are confident about each other do not give up on each other because "my mom said so" or it's good for you :) This drama starts with their wedding scene, which is super sweet because I am sick of watching 40+ episodes to see the leads separate (read: when we were young) or they meet for a minute before the show closes (suddenly this summer, etc.). They have a couple of kissing scenes where the girl kisses beautifully (which is a must for me). I was super annoyed by the kissing scenes of the FL of love o2o and Go ahead :)Further, for a change, the FL is a smart, kick-ass. She is not annoying or cringy. The ML is super hot, sensitive, smart, has super nice parents (leads one to think we are watching something in heaven:)). The storyline is nothing new, but the dialogues themselves have been written beautifully. At this point, I must comment on how the ML looks at the FL from scene 1. It seems like he can see nothing except her, even when he is annoying her. It's so cute! I have re-watched it so many times, and it always lifts my spirit. If you are like me and fall in love with romantic dramas, this one is a must-watch

a cute love story from when we first met, to college and then forever!!!
I am so happy that at the end of 2020 there is a good drama. I was starting to be worried because a lot of the year end dramas was a flop. This one was a great one to end the year, although I only finished on new years haha.I really liked the overall vibe of this drama, it was short and sweet and a cute journey between the leads.
Xia Lin xi is our female lead , she is pretty, smart and has a well off background. Male lead JIang zheng Han is smart, and doesnt have such a good family background. He is always finding job to earn money for his parents. The two leads starts off with a misunderstanding. The male lead eventually becomes the female lead's tutor. He tutors her in math to prepare her for the gao kao , aka college entrance exam. As the female lead gets to know more about the male lead and why he is so uptight about his money, her perspective of him starts to change. They two slowly begin to fall for each other. They made a promise to attend the same university. Sometime happens that makes the male lead have to leave the school and didnt take the gao kao. The female lead gets mad at the male lead. Eventually they get admitted into the same university and he starts to pursue her. Not very long after they are together. The dramas talks about their years in university with a side note of them competing in programing competition. Turns out the male lead was guaranteed a spot to the university due to him winning a programming competition. It also talks about their ups and downs.
I loved the relationship between the female and male lead. They were so cute, sweet and pure. Their chemistry was so true and passion was good. It was a believeable pair and really felt like a real couple :) Their kisses were simple yet true.
However most drama there is always this triangle.. which didnt care for at all. The female lead had an elder brother figure that liked her ( no blood relation) and of course she didnt like him, But then there was a elder university sister who liked the elder university brother... They were somewhat of a nuisance. The elder university brother is played by Yuan hao ( he was the lead in Rong hua, where he was a pirate, he was hot!!!) .....but in this drama he wasnt as attractive, i almost couldnt recognize him !
The side couple was cute too!The female lead's bestie was paired with female lead's annoying cousin hehe
But was is the best school/university romance drama, nope, but it was pretty good! My fave has to be the best of you in my mind!

Disappointing Drama
Honestly, I'm surprised at the rating of this drama. I'm pretty disappointed with this drama and I am just trudging through at this point, wanting it to be over. I just didn't really feel that strong of a connection to the main couple, and I'm not a huge fan of the second couple as well. I found Chen Yi Chuan annoying and really didn't like how he treated Gu Xiao Man for so long. I honestly felt bad for Duan Ning, he genuinely cared for Xiao Man but he was just used and continues to put on a happy face.In addition, since I didn't even have that strong of a connection to our protagonists, all the antagonists in the story were just annoying and an eyesore.
Then finally, after the two couples get established, we're just rushed into their end of college/adult lives with only a few episodes left. Everyone just unrealistically drops everything to work at Zhen Han's company. What about their dreams and aspirations? Somehow, they all just landed and lined up with Zhen Han's mission. During this entire time as well, I came to the realization that Xia Lin Xi is really not that independent as we are led to think. What about her dreams and aspirations? Whatever happened to her programming or her love for math? She learned programming for a competition and left it at that and math just disappeared in her life. They even hinted that she hated her major yet she did nothing to change it? They didn't delve into her career and she just conveniently joins Zhen Han's company as well. I feel like the only thing that she wants in life is to not be under her mother's control. Yet, she continues to be an economics major because her mother wishes it. Things don't really add up and now everything is rushing and I'm just frustrated. I was barely entertained throughout this entire drama and even seeing them turn into adults isn't that much better either.
I give this drama points for having a somewhat healthy relationship and not giving us a breakup period but that's pretty much it. And I say somewhat because this relationship is just filled with so many lies. I get you want to protect your significant other and don't want them to be sad but if you're continuously lying, I'm not sure I can say that its a healthy relationship that has good communication.
I just wanted to write a quick review about this drama but it turned into more of a rant than a review so if you read this far, thank you! If you try out this drama, I hope you enjoy it more than I did.
Edit: Now that I finished the drama, I just wanted to add a quick little edit. The last episode was sweet and very much like them but I really hate that they just redeemed everyone so quickly like that. Honestly still disappointed because I didn't love this drama nearly as much as everyone else but it's okay. Onto the next!
