This is the most realistic relationship I've seen in a c-drama. The relationship between Xia Linxi and Jiang Zhenhan is very realistic, pure, healthy, and not cliche. They understand each other and don't hold grudge, and although some conflicts occur, they resolve it in a fast and understandable way. And both of them are smart, not like the usual stupid n cringey FL. Despite the pressure of FL's stereotypic-asian-tigress mom, they still love each other and stand on their thoughts. Second couple is also good. It's unrequited love that becomes real. Actors are perfect. Their chemistry and their acting is perfect despite of their age, especially the FL (18). Xiang Hanzhi has a bright future ahead in acting. I've seen Wang Anyu in Dreaming Back and ggs2, and waiting for his future projects. Gon'na rewatch, definitely.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Pure Fluff and Adorableness
This drama was a good one! Something that was perfect to get me over my drama slump. It was cute, cheesy and just adorable. I found myself saying "aww" every 10 seconds!What it lacked in continuity it had in seamless problem solving and few dramatic plot interruptions. I gave the story a 9/10 because it was chopped up at times, but overall I appreciate the writers choice to resolve things quickly.
It was filled to the brim with the usual tropes - opposing family, typical secondary couple pairings, etc - but was still quite an enjoyable watch!
Definitely wish there was more romantic interaction but given the FL's age, it's completely understandable why they held back. Will be looking out for more Wang An Yu - his acting was amazing!

Ocean of love , kindness ,growth and understanding!
I went into this drama just knowing that its a happy love story without any headache.But I was pleasantly surprised by how cute , lovely yet realistic it is. This drama shows us that you can make a great positive drama based on real world circumstances without sugar coating. What I really liked about this drama is how they mange their life and carrier alongside their friendship and relationship.
Lead pair is awesome in this drama , I think they take 90% of the drama in both quality and quantity. Their relationship is so well built esp the starting scenes are really hilarious!

I almost made this one my new favourite
I vastly loved this Drama. I loved all of the actors and their acting, the female lead was a tad awkward at times, but I still loved her.This was a pure, beautiful and heartwarming love story. Following two people (and a couple more) in their journey through life and love. I rarely feel like I would want the relationship a Drama couple has, but I do really feel like I would want something similar to what this couple had. I honestly looked forward to every obstacle they were faced with because I wanted to know how they would solve it, they rarely disappointed.
My one point of criticism would be the lack of growth in the characters. Both of their mindsets and characters and their relationship with each other just kind of stayed the same throughout the whole Drama (not just the main characters, most side characters also stayed exactly the same throughout the whole thing). Which made the ending (or the facing of the last obstacle) rather disappointing, to me at least. The very last scene also seemed rather unnecessary, they could have cut the whole thing 10 minutes short, without changing much.
All in all I absolutely loved this and would recommend you to give it a try. I would definitely rewatch this one, just for the warm and fuzzy feeling it gave me.

I came into this w/o any expectations.As of late, my standards w/ kdrama and cdrama has been very high an i easily get bored. But this one really made my heart feel warm and fuzzy.
I loved the main couple.
Their chemistry was really good. From misunderstanding each other, to becoming friends then becoming more. The pacing was really nice. I grew with these characters because i saw how their emotions changed for one another.
I for one hate "love at first sight" and "heavily one sided crush for no reason except the ML is handsome" type of storyline and this one was neither.
They fell inlove as they got to know each other and that to me is very relatable.
The only thing that i disliked in this drama was the "villain" side characters. As usual they were beyond annoying and unreasonable but please bear with it. Things will eventually get better.
Lastly, the wardrobe for the FL i sooooo soo gooooood!!!! She is already so beautiful on her own and to top it off her outfits were well picked (which is pretty rare for tv dramas cos they are either repetitive or boring) but with this she looked beautiful from start to finish!!!

Forever Love reminds me of Love 020 (the drama series) but with High School sweethearts. Their story is so precious, so pure, so innocent. I adore their devotion and commitment to each other. They succeeded in every test of time, not a small feat for any relationship, especially a young one. The two leads are amazing young actors, especially the male lead. He’s very talented and is a complete natural. I’m already loving him in Go Go Squid 2 right now. Forever Love is successful because of Wang An Yu, for sure. This will be a classic in my book. An adorable romantic comedy!
Really enjoyed this show! It was definitely really cute, and I loved both the female and male leads. Xia Linxi is a very independent and smart female lead, and Jiang Zhenghan is very supportive and strong-willed. I did feel that parts of the show was a little cliched, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Also, as others have also stated, I didn't really like Xiaoman and Yichuan's storyline as much.Nevertheless, I still enjoyed watching this show, and I can see myself rewatching it! I recommend this show to people who like romance comedies that take place over a longer period of time (this one takes place from the last year of highschool to a few years after college).

Sweet and Satisfying
It's been a while since I saw a modern drama (particularly a Chinese one) that was so enjoyable to watch. The two leads are so natural and charismatic and they are really the reason for watching the show. I loved the way both characters were written - there was respect given for their personalities, and they remained true to themselves throughout the show's run. There were times when I was worried the plot was going to veer into tropey and ridiculous territory, but the show always turned it on its head in such a satisfying way. The weakest point is probably the 'villains' of the show, they are fairly flat and get resolved too easily. But it doesn't really detract from the show. I don't know why this drama doesn't have that many viewers but they are surely missing out on this GEM!I love this drama so much that I would rewatch it from time to time(this is just a very late review but I watched it when it aired). The ML & FL's relationship was so healthy, it felt SOOO natural and both looked like your everyday normal people. There were no silly misunderstandings, breakups, cringe moments, annoying characters (maybe apart from the superduper strict mom but I didn't care for her because the ML & FL's bond was so strong). The story just flowed well. There were moments where the ML & FL did not want to bother each other so they kept some hardships to themselves, BUT deep inside they know somethings up so they silently support one another. They were cute!! The support characters/friends were so fun and it reminded me of my own friends who I knew since HS & still hang with even after all these years.
The only tiny issue I had was how most of the characters had some connections/coincidences with influencial people who greatly helped them along the way (eg. the person who helped the ML get a 10M investment) which made it a little less 'realistic' in a way-- that is just my opinion and it is a drama after all so understandable.
Overall, I enjoyed this thoroughly. The love, trust, friendship, support was amazing. SO if you have not watched this already, START WATCHING IT NOW! Highly recommended!! It's available on Youtube for an easy binge watch but tbh subs weren't the best at some parts. Watch it somewhere LOL

At the beginning, i’m afraid to watch it, simply because i don’t like the hair of the male lead. But i give it a try, and episode 1 has already convince me to watch it till endingI really love this drama.. ML & FL act so natural.. I can feel their happiness & sadness.. All things happen in natural and reasonable way..
Their chemistry was so cute and represent the pure love..
Love the other cast, especially the boss of ML... I feel you bro.. One side you were envy with ML relationship, but the other side you happy for him..
Over all, i think this is the best modern drama in the last 6 months ????

Love that transcends time
I was intrigued by the reviews of this drama being a healthy romance so I decided to give this one a try and I wasn’t disappointed.I admired and felt the chemistry between the two leads right from the start. This couple was one of the more relatable couples that I’ve ever encountered in dramaland and I looked forward to what the new episode would bring.
However, I was wondering how this drama could be 28 episodes when their feelings progress and showcase rather quickly but I soon got my answer: prolonged drama and misunderstandings. The couple do go through trials and tribulations to be together and avoid hurting each other but thankfully, our leads managed to stick it through and that’s what I appreciated about the romance in this drama.
As for the secondary characters, I didn’t like the supporting lead couple as much as I’d hoped. I couldn’t understand Gu Xiaoman’s pull to Yi Chuan at all especially since he was severely cocky and clueless. I really didn’t understand the pairing and Gu Xiaoman definitely deserved much better. Furthermore, I didn’t care for the SML, he was too obsessive and it really made me angry at times. We also never got to understand what made him fall for our FL in the first place other than the fact that they grew up together.
Something that I wish we were able to see more of was Lin xi’s goals outside of her mothers interference and her relationship. I was happy to see Jiang Zhenghan reach his goals and recognize his potential but we never got to see Lin Xi reach towards what she really wanted or understand what her dream career goals were. It seemed like she was sort of just going with the flow and it’s assumed to be that her dream is helping Zhenghan reach his.
Despite this, I don’t regret watching the show because I got to see some really good chemistry, I watched the characters grow into better/more mature versions of themselves and most of the actors were great in their roles. I’m sad to see this show go, I was really enjoying it. All good things must come to an end.
