Love is sweeter the second time around...
Begin Again has been in my "To Watch" list for a while now but only got to finish it today. Thank goodness I did coz I actually enjoyed it.!Simon Gong has been excellent in "Word of Honor", so I was excited to see his acting in a modern drama. As expected, he delivered. I am not familiar with the FL but she did great too. They both complement each other plus that adorable kid was so cute it made the story warmer.
I've seen a lot of this contract-marriage trope in Cdramas and more than half of what I have watched has been dropped coz it's cringey, awkward and most of the times, annoying but this drama hits differently. Although the plot may be simple and somehow cliché overloaded with predictable ending, you can enjoy this sweet drama too for its warm romance, good chemistry, acting and with a bonus - a lovable and witty kid who can steal your heart hahaha

One of the best Chinese dramas I've seen this year
There's a lot to love about this drama. It's full of cliches (childhood friends, contract marriage, etc) but it's also entertaining, funny, and easy to watch. Part of what makes it so fun is the FL, who is confident, bossy, funny, loving and sometimes just extra af.If you watch dramas purely for the love, you'll be happy. The main couple is really good together and it’s not just a cute fluffy romance, there’s actually substance to their relationship and depth to the characters themselves. They have misunderstandings and conflict but as the drama progresses you get to learn about their backstory and understand why they react to situations the way that they do. The show will have you rooting for them and crying alongside through tough situations and misunderstandings.
I usually avoid long dramas but although the show is 35 episodes it’s worth watching. Around ep 20-25 the pacing lags a bit and I found the villain subplot kind of weird, but I think that may have just been an awkward transition between the two timelines. The show jumps 6 years into the future and continues, but despite the abruptness of it it really does work. I feel like that way you get to see a fuller picture of the couple and it helps keep the plot interesting as well.
I definitely wasn't expecting it going in, but the show has a lot of heart and really manages to shine despite having familiar cliches. I liked the secondary couple as well but I found their romance a bit unrealistic / instalove.

Cheesy yet so good
I love the drama for being self-aware of the typical rom-com themes. The leads are very charming and bring so much sweetness on screen. I had some problems with the personality of the female lead but in the end, I learned to accept her for being flawed. I'm glad the love triangle did not drag and was settled early. The male lead is such a blessing to watch, his role is to be angelic and it made me believe he was truly an angel. Overall, this drama is a nice watch if you are tired of the usual rom-com genre.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
I NEED MORE DRAMA LIKE THIS
The first episode already got me hooked on this drama!!!The female lead did a really great job in playing her character.
Generally I would say that this drama is funny and very fresh BUT there was also so many scenes to cry on. Ughhh, the acting is so real that it made me feel as if I’m in their places and undergo the exact pain.
I love how this drama also shows the bond between family members and how it can literally affect anything. There wasnt much of a twist and only on the beginning.
Usually I would get tired watching dramas with too many episodes but this one is totally an EXCEPTIONAL. Like I could rewatch this anytime and not get bored of it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

worth the timeeeee
i only write reviews for dramas that i really adore, if you check my profile, ive watched alot alot of shows but only leave reviews for a few*cracks knuckles* lets get started shall we?
the story is typical in a way but unique in a way! i gave story a 9 out of 10 because i didnt like how they skipped the 6 years part and only briefly show us how they were hurting after her leaving. its truly a refresher - i call a drama like that when the story has very little arguments and you're here just for the hugs and kisses. theres not much arguments, probably like 1 but it is actually just a disagreement. its just really really sweet and how fated they are. whatever they lost [items,feelings] were all back to them in the end and i love it.
edit: im sucker for gao er fan and lu yue's storyline. they make me cry all the time
one of the big reasons why i decided to watch this drama was their chemistry behind the scenes. this one BTS went viral in the chinese drama community [VIA DOUYIN] was when lingrui was walking through the house and the memories of when she just left came back and he was crying while visioning her leaving with her luggage. right when the director said cut, the female lead couldnt get out of character and the first person she ran to was the male lead. he carried her off the ground and walked around with her in his arms <3. plus factor! lu yi yao [uncle simon] is so hot lol
i never really listened to the music but it sounds nice so baam a 10 :D
this is really one of the best contract marriage drama ive ever watched. looks are on point, chemistry on point, humor on point. and their budget is really good too! sufficient for all the props!
next drama i might watch is either Love In Time or Ive Fallen For You [by Esther Yu and Liu Yi Chang]
And i would really love to see another drama starring this drama's cast. Like using the same production crew and casts for another drama. Example Legend of Yunxi and Blooms At Ruyi Pavillion!!

A Lovely Slow Burn Romance
I went into this drama not expecting much. A CEO convincing a hot young Dr. to marry her isn't very compelling, but what made this work was the brilliant acting of Zhou Yu Tong and Gong Jun, who managed to show fresh, emotionally vulnerable characters navigating a crazy world. I loved the relationship between Fang Ning and Ling Rui, how it was a slow burn into a deep, understanding romance. There are a few cliché moments, but they're quickly overridden by fun, unexpected dialogue and emotional growth that is rare in dramas these days. I genuinely laughed for the majority their scenes and one argument scene took my breath away at how raw it was. The one major reason to watch: communication!!! I love two adults communicating even if it's not 100%. It gets there eventually!** Minor Spoilers **
Although the "villain" does come off a little too villainy, and the second half starts out promising a tired trope of separation and return, the second half turned out to be my favorite half with how natural Zhou Yu Tong and Gong Jun were with each other and You You. They convinced me they've been a family the whole time and we're just watching their home videos.
I knocked off stars for the repetitive songs, although I thought they were cute in the beginning. But I would have liked some variety. And also for second-leads who just didn't capture me the same way. This story felt very much like it could have been a solid 15-20 episodes and be super strong, but the second leads stories just dragged the story for me (sorry for any fans! I do enjoy the actors, just not their roles this time). I will definitely be re-watching this in the future.

CUTE ROM COM
The drama exceeded my expectations! The way the main leads matured, specifically the main girl was refreshing to see. It was realistic in how their relationship progressed and how they learned to overcome their struggles with each other. The main guy was such a sweetheart I adored him. The drama started off fairly light and focused on the romantic aspect towards the end it focused more on the main girls past and the plot thickened, tbh I didn’t expect the plot twist so I was immersed! The leads had good chemistry as well as the other couples in the series. The friendship between the 3 leading ladies was great and I was very pleased with it. There was many funny moments that kept the mood pleasant. Also I loved how all the characters matured and you could clearly see it. Overall, I recommend if you want a cute light rom com to watch!!Side note: ending of ep 21 had me laughing for a long while whoever came up with that scene directing should get a comedic scene award

SUCH A MASTERPIECE
I just finish this MASTERPIECE , i don't why i didn't watch it since ages but i could be struggling with sub hihi 🤦🏻♀️I love it so much , so so much , i always have been loving the dramas with harmonious couple and have healthy relationship , even though it wasn't that perfect relationship but we can see both couple lead try to understand to sacrifice and to love the other than him or her does . I won't talk a lot about the post to not spoil my beautiful MDL friends . But i highly recommend it for you guys ❤❤💝.
And last not last i want a husband like ling rui 😭😭😉😭😭😭😭😭 he is just a legend , i suppose now i will be only watching gong jun's drama for a while 😍😍, and we can not talk about the talented zhou yutong , she is a just beauty ❤

Best Romantic Drama & Couple ever!
This drama is surprisingly amaze me. The chemistry between all casts, choice of costumes, settings, music, especially the choice of main leads are perfect. After such a long time, I finally found a chinese drama with super high recommended rewatch value. I watched it 4x already and never get sick of it. The storyline is nothing new.. about contract marriage and it was started with unrequitted love at first, but then.. slowly the main leads bring you to get involve in their bitter sweet marriage life, cute daily life and a lil bit plot twist in working life.. all blended in 1 beautiful package in every episodes. It's totally a romantic comedy!Gong Jun (Ling Rui) & Yi Tong (Fan Ning) are very lovey dopey couple.. so sweet till the end. Their acting are indeed fabulous.
35 episodes are worth watching.. and the 2 parts of special episodes are soooo cute and lovely.
Ling Rui is deliver a very warm character, loyal, selfless, family guy, and kind doctor. I guess his family circumstances that make him surrounded by all women in 1 roof make him more soft hearted. What an ideal figure as a husband that can cooking, cleaning, and comforting his wife. His smile is heaven.
Fan Ning has a strong character outside but lonely & doubt inside, wild, and naughty. She is a little bit pushy, but cute anyway. Both are childish sometimes, but love make them crazy.
The story is very natural.. starting with a girl who chase after the guy first without concern much about his background. They are basically met by fate since their childhood.
This drama will make you laugh, cry, but mostly smile and shy... if you watch their Behind of The Scene, you can tell the main leads are very close and comfortable with each other. I wish they will make season 2, or a new drama with the same couple as the main leads. Begin Again is very romantic drama without stupid plot. You will dream to have a marriage life like them after watch it ;)

Great in beginning but fizzled out towards the end
I've got hooked from Ep1 with the strong female CEO storyline and the acting from both the leads are top-notch. Interestingly, the title 'Begin Again' contains multiple meanings as the story progresses as almost everyone has to begin again at some point. Some poor plot points here and there, and the ending is certainly not as satisfying as the rest of the journey. It wraps up all the threads nicely and overall done a great job in giving so many couple leads (there are 3 couples) their airtime. I just had major issue with the middle big plot point and the ending which is a bit too convenient.Overall good story, great acting and an enjoyable watch.

Main Leads with great chemistry!
Started watching due to reviews… After watching the first chapter just did not want to stop. The story was smooth, the leads chemistry was on point. Story seemed interesting and their acting was on point and there always comedy embedded which made it more interesting and funny to watch. Basically enjoyed it from the beginning to the end and actually wanted it to be longer. Definitely hoping for a 2 nd season or another movie with the same leads! Forced marriage/ childhood friends to lovers
At first I really didn't like the whole forcing him into marriage, but then as I continued watching I slowly understood why. I really recommend watching this Chinese drama, it has comedy, sad scenes, romantic scenes and so many other stuff. 10/10 recommended plus if your into little kids being in drama this drama has yoyo, in the almost end yoyo is absolutely adorable and just so cute. The parts where i really loved is the little flashbacks of their happy and sad moments, and how the ml sees the fl and how the fl sees ml, the second fl and ml are hilarious they're like old married couples that got divorced and love each other again. Both the fl and the second fl have the best and amazing friendship and they support each other and give each other advices, etc.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
