Pathetic

This is the worst in the "Sleepless Society" saga. I thought of dropping it halfway, but then I convinced myself that it wasn't that bad. I should have dropped it. After a certain point I started hating the two protagonists and the last episode was just a big disappointment. I swear to god, I just wanted to see them dead.

So the story doesn't offer anything interesting. It starts as a very strange mystery: the protagonist wakes up with a dead body besides her. The most obvious conclusion is that she is the killer, but we are led to believe that she is innocent. All the characters are trying to uncover the truth, by creating even more problems. People get killed and after everything that went on, the most obvious conclusion turned out to be the right one.
I really hated Kate. She starts acting victimistically, pretending to be helpless and fragile, but in the end we discover she had all planned out since the beginning. In the last episode she implies that the producers wanted us to hate her, but this actually made everything worse for me, because it means that the series is not only bad, but it's bad ON PURPOSE. I empathised more with Rat, who was supposed to be the bad guy, because at least he had a sensible reason to go about blackmailing and killing people, whereas Kate did everything out of sociopathic selfishness.

The main concept of the story was already mentioned in "Sleepless Society: Insomnia" and further developed here. It's really about what is more important between Love and Justice. Kate is a sociopathic character who is able to manipulate her victims by messing with their feelings and sense of empathy. I think the moral message in the last episode is really important, but they failed miserably at portraying it with this story.

Don't waste your time with this, it's not worth it.

I started this drama because of a scene that I saw from Lazy Subber's FB page. This drama started quite slowly at first but after the 1st episode, it picked up quickly and became more interesting. The characters especially Kate, make you sympathize with them even after you've watched them commit all sorts of atrocious acts. The ending was alright but the actions of the officer were slightly off but it's a drama, they have to end it rather dramatically. It was worth the time I spent watching it.

Slow paced rollercoaster

I found myself having mixed emotions at the end. In the beginning I quite liked the romance between Kate’s husband and Rat. It was sincere and showed a softer side to the otherwise unforgiving personalities. But I began to dislike Rat more as the series progressed and his true nature revealed itself. There was even a moment after Chad’s death that Chad was shown in a different light. I couldn’t forgive him for the abuse towards Kate, However everyone who seemed innocent in the beginning, started to look more guilty in the end and vice versa. I will one day return to the series, knowing the ending and see it in a different light. In the end, Kate avenged herself as the unbeatable character who charms people into being as delusional as her. Oddly enough I was still routing for her until the end. After all she was a victim right? Well it’s true that delusions can be so strong you can’t even realize you’re sick. That’s how Kate was.
I wish I could have known the opinion of Kate’s mother. Did she know her daughter was sick, or did she only intensify her condition by blindly leading her.
Tew did not deserve the ending he received. But when fatal attraction is involved, it’s best to leave before it’s too late! An unorthodox similarity to the tale of Romeo & Juliet.
His final message was reflective, leaving watchers with an awareness of how much we find ourselves sympathizing with bad people, and to make sure we aren’t fools to our own tragedy.

I watch this series on Netflix Asia and I have mixed feeling. First of all, I feel sorry for all main characters here. They stuck into cul-de-sac situation, most all people around them are toxic person and can't get away. All characters have a sin even Tew who first want to investigate about his brother murder abandon his girlfriend and fall to Kate. Kate also not a good person, getting abuse from Chad because she like party and cheat with prostitute. Chad had mistress and affair with Raht. From all relationship, I choose Chad and Raht, this relationship is nice and doesn't have any hidden agenda. I really hate Jom, OMG the scene he killed bird and eat it also scene when he rape Chad make me sick. And Kate actress in final kinda flat, she should more express evil look. I admit that Thai lakorn always surprise me, they have cheesy also have drama storyline. But sometimes they failed in execution. Like this series, they have good story but the presentation like old tv series, not like Kdrama or American series (I watch on Netflix so it kinda old when compared to them); If you like Asian series which doesn't have mainstream storyline this series for you.

Sleepless Society? I skipped that one featuring a creepy little boy, but this one I found rather watchable: just the opening credits are great. Also thankfully this series features no supernatural, ghost or horror (I was afraid at first, seeing the posters).

The main characters in 'Two Pillows & A Lost Soul' are past their twenties, we don't deal with annoing "teenagers" in this one. Wife let off some steam wrong time wrong place, at the party that ended bad. She's far from selfless but she's got her share of grief. She has a horrendous mother (who keeps ruining her life since childhood), too. Husband beats the wife, but apart from that he's having a cute gay romance line. No black and white characters here. They all have some pretty dark moments but I could relate. The sleep issues are incorporated well, which is stylish for this series theme. Same works for music.

Amongst all this, a romance blossoms that involves Bee Namthip, who is still so beautiful I didn't mind the age gap, yet it kinda even more underlined the loneliness of her character. Watching her getting on with complete stranger still had a depressed tone for me. Their bed scene was good, though. I can appreciate it as I've recently watched another age-gap series with Nune Woranuch, who was even older than Bee Namthip, and yet she still wasn't able to do a simple onscreen kiss better than twenty years ago.

All these characters just being themselves would make a strong drama even without the whole murder case.

Unfortunatelly, things get even darker than would be my taste.

I didn't like anything that happened in episode 9.

After that, I finished the series but it wasn't the same anymore.
I found the ending rather cheap.

Under rated. Fully recommend. I started with use it as a filler show. By episode 3 I was full on binge. Watching this drama as a Thailand drama, made in Thailand, with Thailand actress/actors/directors/writers, it is very good. Keeping in mind the societal norms, political and police corruption, and the wealthy abuse of others, it is home grown Thai life. The plot comes out hot, brutal, and corrupt - all showing in ep. 1. The rape, physical and mental abuse, by her husband; starts Kate (Bee Namthip) off into a complicated journey of pitfalls and twists. Bee turns in a next level performance as Kate. Out classes her cast mates. Generates great sympathy as the desperate victim of most of the men she meets and even her best friend. But that is just part of Kate. She is conniving and deviant. In this role Bee demonstrates a wide variety of personalities, from depressive pity to a psychotic murderess. Dynamic!! I cheered for her in those couple of moments she gets for romance. Jin (Goy Arachaporn) wins best supporting role. Her facial expressions and body language are tops. Jin's love for Tew is boundless. Overlooked and taken for granted, Jin ever hopes for Tew to return her love. And he sorta does twice and dumps her twice. The soul crushing emotions Goy gives to Jin's character made me want to murder Tew. Raht (Ten Tosatid) is a driven culprit capable of murder and love. Raht presents as a strong man full of violence and empty of belonging. Ten is a handsome/beautiful man. Raht winds up in the middle of corrupt cops and politicians, he soon regrets. When he seems to have finally found love with Chatchai (Kate's husband), it only sets how hard of a fall he suffers when Chatchai is murdered.
This show delivers many surprises in twists and turns. Kate's, butt munch husband, Chatchai is abusive dominant to Kate. In a twist, I appreciated, Chachai gets dominated by the corrupt political boss, to include bondage and undesired buggery. Cheers!
Some of storyline is typical for drama. Some of the storyline is not anticipated nor predictable. Episodes 12 and 13 go crazy with twists. I am really thrilled with the out of the box twists. Kate is beautiful and successful in her life, although it turns into a plague of unwanted attention and behavior from jerks. Throughout the drama she is depressed, desperate, angry, nuts, and suspected of being a murderess. And man is she all that and more. Ep 13 wraps up 12 episodes of what is Kate really like. Love you or hate you, in this show, Kate will kill you.
Overall, the cast is really good and cohesive. Several of the supporting roles are excellent. Naner Nisawan and the female cop that breaks the case (yea I get it, can't find her name) both deserve more work, great acting. Writing is good, the directing is okay. I thought the scenery and music added value.
One thing that slowed down a hirer rating from me, was Tew (Aim Bhumibhat). Tew, the character is immature, selfish, and ignorant. Too often a whiny weak person. On the outset he seems to be a bold seeker of justice. But a couple of episodes in he just develops into a weak man with little conviction in himself. I did not like the presentation of the character delivered by Aim. To me, Aim lacked presence. In emotional scenes he was flat, unconvincing. In the handful of "action" scenes, Aim was off balance out of his comfort zone with painful obviousness. I have no other exposure to Aim's body of work. It may be unfair to evaluate his on-screen presence. His deep emotional scenes were across from Kate and Jin, who are on a higher level of presentation.
