If you like coming of age, YA type of romance - you will like this.A lot cdramas have a lot of fillers or just situations that keep going out of control and creating misunderstandings for no reason. This drama was such a breath of fresh air where there are characters who were more sorted than most adults are and they show a lot of maturity and understanding throughout the series.
It was cute and adorable without being annoying and most importantly, it doesn't make you want to fast forward. The are so many green flags in this show!!

It pains me to say that this drama would’ve received a far higher rating...
from me if it wasn’t for the FL...Like genuinely the FL was what stood in the way between the rating I gave vs a rating that was 1-2 stars higher. I simply couldn’t stand her weird dialogue and acting since the very start of this drama. Although the drama itself kind of grew on me toward the end (not enough tbh), I consistently rolled my eyes at her and cringed at least once every episode. There’s a night and day difference between Su Zaizai and Jiang Jia (and I LOVED Jiang Jia) and I genuinely think they could’ve allowed Zaizai to keep her bubbly personality without turning her into a 5 year-old in a 25 year-old woman’s body. The plot here should theoretically be my cup of tea, actually, but for some reason I ran into the same issue I run into with some youth cdramas where for some reason I’m just kind of bored the whole time. I don’t think the drama did anything wrong per se, I might just not be one to enjoy youth cdramas as much as I think. However, I really enjoyed the fact that there was quick and easy conflict resolution and nothing super dramatic that happened. It made the watch very enjoyable and positive and is why I say that it’s technically “my type” of drama. Funny enough, as much as I complain about unresolved misunderstandings, I would’ve been okay with some of them being resolved a little later (the not annoying ones ahah) since they added some entertainment in the sea of “no problems whatsoever the couples are together and happy as can be” eutopia in romcoms that gets boring QUICK if you overdo it. Anywho, I personally don’t really think the drama deserves a 9.0 rating since there were personally quite a few issues I encountered that I’m sure other people have as well, and I felt like there was just little to no emotional impact with the characters for me personally (I’m comparing to how I felt watching dramas like Hidden Love or Someday or One Day who did great in this department). But if you don’t mind an incredibly cringey FL (gahh) and enjoy the youth genre, I would still recommend you watch this one as you’re likely to really enjoy it.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

I'm a mess
I waited 3 weeks to let this drama settle and I can honestly say that this drama left me a wreck. I can not stress the happy emptiness I felt after completing the final episode. What I loved most was how fulfilled I felt at the end. I felt like it was properly resolved, there were no loose ends that needed to be tied, and I felt that everything was as it needed to be.Unlike other slice-of-life dramas, I felt that the five of them truly were friends and could've existed as friends outside of the relationships. I love how we got to see a little bit of their stories and their struggles without it needing to be an elaborate plot. It was still as poignant and relatable. All five of them sincerely hold a soft spot in my heart and honestly, in the last few weeks I've rewatched it multiple times. It's super light and easy to follow, and i watched it following the mess of The legend of Anle

YAY TO FLUFFY DRAMAS MAKING YOUR HEART HAPPY + HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS (!!!)
Title says it all! I'm a bit late to watching this drama, but after a year of a huge drama drought where it was hard to find anything genuinely worth watching from beginning to end, THIS WAS SUCH A BREATH OF FRESH AIR! I wish I could've recorded myself watching this drama because I smiled the entire time. It was that wholesome and good. <3This drama is from the POV of Su Zai Zai, our protagonist and FL. As many others have pointed out, the actress, Zhang Miao Yi, did a great job pulling off the cutesy-but-not-annoying-or-cringey character. It was the type of cute where you're like "if I was a guy, I would totally have a crush on her. She's so adorable." And OMG OUR RANG RANG <3333333 Honestly Zhou Yiran's dimples WERE SO CUTE BC EVERYTIME HE SMILED I WAS LIKE AHHHHHHHHHH SO CUTE!!! I absolutely LOVED how Zhang Lurang was not your typical cold, genius, super good at everything ML. He seemed like a real person, who despite seeming "cold" at first, is actually super warm and def a man that loves HARD. The relationship between SZZ and ZLR was so healthy to see, which I really think we need to see more of in C-dramas. The relationship between the second leads, Gu Ran and Jiang Jia was also absolutely endearing to see. As many others have pointed out, I would watch a drama based off of their relationship as well :) And Guan Fang + his relationship with his grandma was soooo sweet. I just lost my grandmother recently, so seeing how much grandma + grandson cared for each other meant a lot to me.
The first 19 or so episodes are about their high school life, from how the group of 5 met in 10th grade (LOL) to graduation in 12th grade. It then follows their life in university and beyond. If you look at some of the other dramas I've watched, I absolutely love dramas that follow the characters over a long period of time. I always love seeing how characters have changed, since we clearly aren't the same people from high school to college, much less from high school to our working life.
I only write reviews for SUPER SUPER GOOD DRAMAS, so please DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW!!!!! Do it for the most endearing friendships, romantic relationships, DRAMA FREE PLOT, and heart + head-soothing story. Seriously. Do yourself a favor, stop scrolling on MDL, and go watch this drama. There's a reason it's rated so highly.
And to all my ladies out there, LOLOLOLOL I like how our standards have collectively been risen.

WATCH IT!! U WILL NOT REGRET I PROMISE
SO SO AMAZING. I finished this drama in like 2 days best time spent. icl, in the beginning, I didn't have the greatest expectations however it sooo lives up to its hype. I kept seeing this on my tiktok so I thought why not give it a go? BEST DECISION. I was legit kicking my feet and shi EVERY EPISODE and this NEVER happens for me. Not a single dull moment, the episodes and moments are timed sooo perfectly that before a boring second can even arrive it's already moved on to the next scene. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if u want to be happy and feel soo nostalgic (even tho I'm still in hs lol). ANDDD,, I didn't even skip a single scene for the second couple which is a rarity, as I usually do for other dramas bc second couple usually boring as, buttt not this couple! OK, enough said, u MUST WATCH IT!!!!p.s. I want a rang rang so soo bad :((((((

Be still my youthful heart...
This gem has renewed my hope in dramas.This was such a well written story with lovable characters and realistic reactions to situations.
I appreciate how fiery and strong the FL was, especially when someone tried to make moves on her Rang Rang in college.
And that Rang Rang .. his character was so well developed.
You can see how her bubbly, shining love for him helped heal him and how his quiet but steady presence gave her courage.
The things he did from early on showed how deeply he already cared for her.
The second couple was sweet too.
The way he quietly loved her for so many years and supported her was beautiful.
The friendship the 5 of them had was stellar.
The humor - ah the humor.
There were so many times I found myself laughing like a fool and it was usually over some well placed comment.
I loved how the ML backed the FL and vice versa.
I could go on and on, but I will just say if you haven' watched this yet, do it.
It was such a breathe of fresh air.
I rated the re watch value a little lower because this was a wonderful story that did all it needed to the first time around.

Remind me so much of another drama.
When does it get better? Don’t get me wrong, it’s cute but I’m on episode 6 and I think I’m going to give it another episode before I drop it. This show reminds me so much of A Love So Beautiful (which I didn’t like) with a perky, obsessed FL and a stoic ML. I know he has a reason for being that way but all ML have reasons.Seriously though why do they make these high school girls so forward when they like a guy? They are out there following them around even when the guys doesn’t show interest (as audiences we see the tiny smiles but the FL doesn’t!). I’m trying to remember if I’ve ever encountered any girls like that in school but came up with nothing.
The cast is fine but the FL remind me so much of a younger Esther Yu. I am already not the biggest fan of EY so it’s been taxing.

Second lead couple deserves their own drama
The drama itself is fine, no toxicity, not a lot of plot, mostly just something to watch to pass time. However, after watching until the middle of the drama I realized I was only watching the next episode, hoping to see the second lead couple. Not that there's anything wrong with Zhang Lurang and Su Zaizai, just I find their story to be a bit boring. They were sometimes cute ig but their trope was not something for me, the she falls in love first sight and he slowly falls in love too, their scenes together did not spark anything within me.Honestly I much prefer the second lead couple, for me, their trope and story are much better. Gu Ran and Jiang Jia enemies to frenemies to lovers was giving everything I needed, I was fr giggling and kicking my feet at every little screen time they had. The reason why I dropped this drama is because I didn't want to waste time watching a drama where I have no interest in the main couple and the only couple I am watching for is done no justice .
I really wish that the second lead couple had more screen time, but they barely had any to development their relationship. I swear I need a season 2 with them as the main or maybe another drama with their actors cause they have SM potential as a couple.

At first while watching I'm not a fan of how 在在 was so bold and how she acted to impress 让让。but after quite awhile Im glad 5 of them became friends, very close friends and I wish to be like them too. I like how caring 让让 is. Glad they teach each other the weak subject which makes them closer and how Lin 老师 is 让让's 叔叔. If not maybe Lin 老师 wouldn't be as close as 在在 now. I was over the moon that 让让 confessed. Some parts maybe I was so angry at him because he told her to be quite but this drama is my top drama right now, sadly I didn't notice how gorgeous Zhou Yi ran is in his "falling into your smile"I'm very happy that both 让让and在在 are loyal to each other. Love that both of their family members welcome them . This drama is very recommended, made me cry couple of times but made me jump many times due to the love of 让让 and 在在

Based on friendship , love and romance ,youth drama making it special teen drama . Those who likes watching teen drama should watch it and those who don't watches should try it . I'm sure you are going to like this drama . All characters in this drama has done a great work making it realistic and taking back you to your youth days . After watching this drama I wish I would be a lucky as suzai who has a great supporting friends and partner who are always with her . This drama also gives us lesson how to make healthy relationship without getting affected by toxic people . How to trust and support each other in hard times . Eu nunca pensei que chegaria o dia em que um drama superaria Wait My Youth em meu coração, mas When I Fly Towards You chegou de voadora!!! Perfeito, leve, com um squad de amigos encantadores, um casal maduro, companheiro, e seguro!Apesar do período deles na faculdade e na vida adulta ter sido rápido, não foi algo que deu a sensação de história corrida. Tudo aconteceu de forma suave, e emocionante, deixando o coração quentinho a cada interação.
Pra quem gosta de dramas fofos, com casal que se apoia mutuamente, se entende, e percebe os minimos detalhes pra fazerem um ao outro felizes, eu super recomendo!!!
