Cute!!
Loved it till 18th episode and then it felt like it was dragging on. Finished the last couple of episodes in 1.5x. The sibling dynamics were a treat to watch and the cast acted well. I just liked "When I Fly towards you" better because I was watching them parallelly and the general lack of misunderstanding and cliches in When I fly made it a better watch than Hidden Love. One thing that I did like about HL is that female lead was not a damsel in distress and could take a stand and not just for herself - but for the male lead as well. All the female characters written by this author are strong and know their mind - I truly appreciate the fact that these characters are unlike the naive/weak/gullible ones usually found in dramas,.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Should have been a 24 episode drama
The drama started out well and if it would have ended on 2/3 of its length - it would have been such a better watch. The story had way too many tropes for sub-plots which it could have easily done without.The good things were:
FL acted really well and had a great comic timing. She and the kid were the only characters who made the last 1/3 a little bearable.
ML is cute and definitely a treat to look at, but FL stole the show for sure.
The female friendship was a treat to watch. I kept expecting someone to backstab/plot and I was pleasantly surprised.
My issues with the drama:
I have a short attention span and the drama has to be really good to hold my attention. The last 10 episodes I had to see while fast forwarding. There was too much going on, a lot of open ends to be closed and there were some very unnecessary revenges, trauma and redemptions happening. I personally don't think that arc was required. All this unnecessary chaos took time away from showing growth of the characters. Second lead essentially woke up one day to realize he didn't treat the second FL right and got her back after minimal pursuing. There is also a 6 year leap which essentially solved all problems on its own without portraying any actual growth.
My recommendation
It's a decent watch with some fast forwading involved. However, it is definitely not rewatch worthy.

Going on in circles
I feel like we are going in circles at this point. The same issues, same miscommunication, same over reaction and same angst. There has been very little growth in characters and it keeps going to pretty much square one every couple of episodes. Great acting by the ML and he actually looked food deprived for the large part of episodes that I have seen. I watched SOKP and this is such a disappointment. I started getting annoyed by 12th episode and continued to hate watch it. I cannot see why it is highly rated and it had so much potential which sadly was wasted.Someone wrote it their reviews that it has xianxia logic and they tie up every loop - This was very true.The second leads have a much better arc. I don't think I will be coming back to this.

Must Watch
If you like coming of age, YA type of romance - you will like this.A lot cdramas have a lot of fillers or just situations that keep going out of control and creating misunderstandings for no reason. This drama was such a breath of fresh air where there are characters who were more sorted than most adults are and they show a lot of maturity and understanding throughout the series.
It was cute and adorable without being annoying and most importantly, it doesn't make you want to fast forward. The are so many green flags in this show!!

Watch it while multitasking
Too much fluff!The ML was decent and his chemistry with Pan Duo was much better than with the FL.
The FL had no expressions for most part and her character had one big whoop when she hit the other ML's nemesis with dictionary. After that it was a whole lot of nothing. It started out well and then fell flat. I dropped it after I realized that I kept forwarding it in the hope that something will happen. The FL is a damsel in constant state of distress with someone coming to rescue her every time. I wish there was some character growth to make this drama palatable.
You can watch this if you're multi tasking and need something going on in the background. If you are looking for something engaging then, it is not meant for you.

I read the webtoon and I had major issues with how the FL character has very very slow character growth that tends to null. I expected this show to have a faster growth , but was disappointed. Cha Eun Woo' s Suho comes across as very petty in the drama. The Suho in webtoon was supportive of FL in general and definitely supportive. The Suho in the drama kept requiring reaffirmation and support. It was just not my cup of tea.Shoutout to the actor playing Seo Jun, he did a great job with that role and his chemistry with the FL was so great. Their fun-bits made the drama better for sure.
The drama Seo Jun definitely deserved the girl way more than Suho.

Couldn't stand it
I started watching it because of the rating, reviews and I had liked Moonlight, so I figured I can watch another show with Esther Yu in it. I couldn't stand it. What's up with the whole baby talk all the time. It was unbearable and annoying. Esther made everyone else's acting look better just by being there in the frame and that's how bad it was. Watching this was hard
I usually like simple rom-com where there is no major mystery, but this has been just more ridiculous than I was expecting it to be. I tried to see it 3 times and it is not engaging at all. Jun ho is great to look at and I mostly like the dramas he stars in, but his looks couldn't make this show watchable. I usually try to see the last episode just to see how things ended up and in this case - there was no curiosity, at all. The only angle that could hold my interest was FL and her friends.I was looking forward to watching this as I had high hopes.
