Hong Bin orders Xi Ruo to maintain her manners when she assumes she should serve him like a lady. Xi Ruo tries to escape from the manor but is caught. Hong Bin threatens to lock her up if she tries to flee again. Li Hong Yu is actually a famous painter and Hong Bin’s younger brother. But he neither has interest in family matters nor inheriting their father’s title. Hong Bin forces him to go home and grounds him. Xi Ruo recognizes him as the person who owes her money for her painting while trying to flee again. She helps him to escape with her without knowing his real identity. While she manages to get out, Hong Yu fails to do so. However, Xi Ruo is forced to complete her task when A Shuang threatens her with her mother’s life. She is told to contact Servant Li in the Li Manor. But when she returns, Servant Li has been caught for spying and kills himself. The Song family is planning a visit with their daughter, Song Qin. Madame Li is not fond of Song Qin being her daughter-in-law and prefers Ru’er. But the Song family controls the transportation which the city needs to develop its Yun iron industry. Xi Ruo spills some tea on a map that Hong Bin is studying. She re-draws it for him by relying on her photogenic memory. She also asks him about Hong Yu who lives in a different courtyard. Xi Ruo then discovers that the man who owes her money is Hong Yu. She asks him to accept her as his disciple and give her a nude portrait of himself as a gift. Hong Bin begins to recognize Xi Ruo as the person who escaped during the event to capture Happy Fairy. (Source: DramaSlot)
