A wasted opportunity
I wasn't sure about watching this drama, I'm not really a big fan of Lee Minho acting after watching him in The King but I was curious about the rest.It started kind of interesting, despite that atrocious depiction of U.S. people in LA but I have come to expect this in k-dramas, lol
The story was filled with cliches and I was about to quit but then is like someone said... It's like a drug and although you hate it you aren't able to stop.
The main leads were pretty plain, I confess I liked Lee Minho more than in The King and I got really emotional in some scenes but those two were pretty boring. I'm sure I'll forget about them very soon.
I was rooting for Yeong-do at the end, I think he had the best character development of them all. Won was great at the end too but maybe they could have done even better. The relationship between Kim Tan and Eun Sang mom was hilarious and heartwarming and the group of friends, although many interactions were pointless and the humor didn't work most times, Bo-na and Chan Yeong were the cutest.
Overall, I expected more of everything. I wish it hadn't been so cliche, that it could have been memorable. I expected more about the power dynamics, at the end, the story with the father got really boring and it sorts of gives a happily ever after vibe that seems unrealistic.
One final point about the OST, sadly, along with The King, this is another drama where the songs don't transmit me anything.

Muito bem construído!
A história foi muito bem construída. Embora na sinopse esteja escrito que o elenco tenha os maiores atores da atualidade, só conheço o trabalho do Lee Min-ho e da Park Shin-Hye. É o meu segundo Drama com o Min-ho, o primeiro foi Boys over flowers e não teve como não comparar já que os personagens tem a mesma vibe, achei que neste ele deu tudo de si estava bem mais maduro, ele ganhou meu coração neste drama. Já a Shin-Hye eu conheci através de Pinocchio e ela já tinha meu coração kkkkk mas voltando para o drama em questão não só eles, mas todo o elenco deram um show. A história não é arrastada, os 20 episódios são muito coerentes, apenas com uma ressalva. Não entendo porque, os dramas tem mania de colocar um problema no penúltimo episódio muitas das vezes do nada, como foi no caso dessa história, que em nenhum momento veio nos preparando/mostrando que a Sra. Ji-Suk pretendia dar algum tipo de golpe. Era óbvio que ela não sairia vitoriosa e também não gostei do Won não ficar com a amada dele, sofreu a vida toda e não pôde ser completamente feliz. A OST é maravilhosa, fica na cabeça até em momentos que estamos fazendo coisas do dia a dia. O drama é o clássico clichê que a gente ama e precisa pra sofrer e rir e se apaixonar ainda mais contado de forma tão cuidadosa. La serie tiene de todo un poco, tiene amor, tiene desamor, tiene venganza, tiene las tonterías normales de la edad, diferencias de clases, momentos graciosos y momentos tristes...en fin de todo un poco lo cual creo que ayuda a que sea entretenida y la quieras terminar en un día (sin embargo, recomiendo verla poco a poco para poder empaparte de ella).
Los personajes de Lee Min Ho y de Park Shin Hye me parecieron increíbles y se notó muchísimo la química que había entre ellos. Pero mi favorito fue sin duda Lee Min Ho con esa actitud graciosa quitando siempre hierro al asunto. El personaje de Kim Woo Bin también me gustó mucho sin embargo, me hizo sufrir muchísimo con su actitud.
Si estás buscando un drama sencillo y que tenga de todo en un mundo de gente rica, te recomiendo muchísimo que lo veas y me digas que te pareció.

It's like a modification story of Boys Before Flowers. First of all because Lee Min Ho plays again as a heir. But in this drama, Min Ho plays a smooth version of Gu Jun Pyo in Kim Tan's profile. But still he plays a possessive role that makes his kiss much arousing especially when Cha Eun Sang is about to be sent to abroad. Obseessive love is the theme of the story.

the production was good, I can't complain .I also say that the performance was incredible, it would be a sin if I complained.
I love the actors, I loved the characters.
Of course, not everything is perfect, I can't lie, but what a drama that doesn't have a single flaw.
So in conclusion, I recommend...
I say it's worth watching, maybe it's bad for some, but for me it was good.
This is just my opinion, you better watch it and have your own opinion.

Drama vecchiotto ma bello da vedere.
Questo drama visto ora dopo quasi 10 anni da quando è andato in onda secondo me è ancora un bel drama.Forse oggi siamo più abituati a storie più passionali e meno soap opera come invece è questo ma comunque merita visto.La storia é un classico,lui ricco,bello e famoso lei figlia di cameriera nella casa di lui.Si incontrano casualmente e poi si ritroveranno sempre più vicini.La scintilla scatta da subito ma ovviamente non sarà facile.C'è il triangolo amoroso e in questo caso ci sono stati momenti che ho tifato per il rivale ,un duro che fa tenerezza.Molto simpatici gli amici e odiosi i genitori.Loro due belli insieme,una bella chimica anche se mi sono mancati i momenti passionali che si vedono nei drama oggigiorno.Nel complesso drama che raccomando soprattutto se amato lo stile soap con amore che vince su tutto,intrighi e complotti.

Poor story line
Poor story line, a lot of break ups which don't make sense. In the end, getting approval of the realation ship was so easy that I don't understand why they did such a mess with hiding, escaping, leaving the home etc.I would say The same about the story of bothers, Won hates Tan since many years and in the end they stop disputing just like that, without any reason.
Music was also very average, it could be much better. The Best in this drama is Choi Young Do character. His acting skills were very good and the story "from hate to love" is much more interesting than casual romance.

i really enjoyed ajhumma and kim tan's mother comedy. also i liked relation between the characters cha eun sung and kim tan and young do.
overall it was okay to 2011 period but if you are watching now you will be a little disappointed. so bear with it. story line is okay
watch only if you like romantic stories. seriously korean drama has improved a lot these days its on par with other foriegn dramas

As usual, Lee Min Ho is a rich man in this drama. There is really nothing good in this story, other than the good looking actors, that's it. I don't know why this was a hit in our country. And I also hate Cha Eun Sang here. Why does she let 2 men handle and just drag her anywhere? The bullying and the cringey love triangle here is too much for me to handle.
But even though the story is a meh for me, I still find myself asking what will happen on the next episodes. Maybe because some characters are interesting. Like the mothers of the main leads, krystal, and what will happen on the stupid love triangle that the main characters has.
Anyway, this is the first acting and character of Krystal that I like. I'll give it a 4/10. If you like this drama, I'm assuming that you only like the actors/actresses, not the story itself. And if you really do like it, level up your taste hun.

I wasted my time
I mean just why? why was this drama made and for what purpose?I mean the most boring part of the series was the ML and FL and ML’s father. They irittated me so much I almost skipped everything about it.
The most interesting part of the story was… let me remember what was…. nothing.
It has no story and no base they wanted to create a love story but the coward FL just annoyed me. The stupidity of the ML left me dumbfounded. And I would’ve dropped it. If it was not for the character redemption and Jeong do and Rachel and Won. Also the back story of the first love kid.
I think the first couple episodes were great but perhaps because it is an old drama or what but it was annoying.

Just an opinion from a recent 1st time The Heirs watcher…
After years of watching Kdramas, I finally decided to watch The Heirs.Despite a lot of strong opinions for and against, it was a good drama.
When I watch older dramas I need to adjust to how women are treated. How they are spoken to and pulled around like dolls with respect to what they want or don’t. And like in the American TV show: Dallas, how a forced kiss can turn in to something the female just agrees to mid-kiss.
Maybe that actually happens, as fortune favors the bold. Still it’s not easy to accept for someone who believes in equality, respect, and equal rights for all.
My only real criticism for this show (except for the cliches and tropes) is that it should have been about college age young people. While the characters are at times immature and childish- the things they deal with seem much more adult than high schoolers, forget “being 18”. I think that just makes it easier for international viewers to accept some very adult situations.
Again it was an enjoyable watch, if you suspend reality for the 20 hours or so of the series. That said it was enough to keep me watching the entire 20 episodes over 3 days.
Enjoy and decide for yourself. This was just my take after watching. ?
