Ça vaut la peine pour le Kitty Gang
J’aurais regardé une série entière sur l’histoire de Duean (Neo Trai Nimtawat) et Meen (Louis Thanawin). Chacune de leurs scènes est hilarante, et ce, parce que ces deux personnages sont des idiots. Duean est un porc stupide qui a tendance à se mettre dans des situations ridicules tandis que Meen est un chou adorable tellement naïf qu’il a besoin de quelqu’un pour prendre soin de lui. Ensemble, ils forment un couple parfait, mais voué à faire brûler leur maison quelques fois. J’attendais leurs scènes à chaque épisode. D’ailleurs, VIVE LE KITTY GANG!Malheureusement, j’ai moins accroché au couple principal, ce qui a fait baisser ma note. Pi (Phuwin Tangsakyuen) est un personnage rejet qui se plaint de ne pas avoir d’amis, mais dès que quelqu’un tente de l’approcher, il sort les griffes et devient désagréable. Il n’a RIEN d’aimable en lui. Je comprends pourquoi il est seul. Mork (Pond Naravit) est un peu mieux, mais je trouve qu’il prend de très mauvaises décisions, comme faire appel à l’agaçante Bam. Je n’ai toujours pas compris le but de son personnage.
Le duo qui courait après Pi et Mork pour les shiper était tellement énervant que j’aurais volontiers sauté leurs scènes. J’ai l’impression qu’à eux seuls, ils ont gâchés une bonne partie de l’histoire. Pourquoi plusieurs BL doivent-ils inclure ce genre de personnages?
Bref, à la place de Pi, j’aurais quand même choisi de sortir avec le mignon Mueang (Mix Sahaphap), car j’avais l’impression qu’il était plus heureux avec ce dernier. Tout le monde tente de le convaincre qu’il préfère Mork, ce qui fini par être le cas. J’ai l’impression que son amour a été forcé.

I found this very amusing. it's obviously not meant to be taken as a serious, ground breaking drama so idk why some people are acting robbed of that ?I genuinely laughed multiple times and I think all the actors did a very good job with their roles. ?
The 4th wall breaks from Neo's character were so funny. It's very light hearted and I think it's done well for what it is
Also watching this so long after it's been out, it's fun to see a lot of the GMM lead actors in their minor roles here (Neo, Louis, Mix, Winny, Satang, AJ)

This was a pretty solid show. I went in with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised that this was actually a good show. I enjoyed it. I liked the chemistry between these two. This was a light-hearted fun show, and I started, never let me go, and accidendtally started and finished this. This red-flag family is fantasic. Dean with an u and Mark with an o Their clashing was funny, and they were just the overprotective older brothers. The weird friend group was actually the funniest thing ever. Some of the characters served no purpose, but that's okay. Mix's character served a purpose at the start, but he didn't serve a lot of purpose in the end. This was a cute show, and I would recommend it instead of some serious shows. The fourth wall breaks kept me going. I finished this show in 16 hours, which is cool. Sleep is for losers. I enjoyed this show, and I would recommend watching it again. Dean with a U spraying the camera was the funniest thing ever. I could not stop laughing. it was definitely interesting
It was good. Honestly it was cute and funny. I enjoyed watching it and it was entertaining to watch. There were flaws here and there. Like I forgot this name but the guy that Neo plays. He was such a bad friend to that other guy. I FORGOT HIS NAME BUT PLAYED BY LOUIS. also he literally told “pi” that he looked ugly with glasses hello???… I loved pi he was definitely over hated and I totally understand him. Now mork, was ok. He definitely did too much towards the end and I started to get upset. Like he didn’t leave pi alone, he doesn’t want you????? and once again there’s a jealous female character who ruins their relationship. Guys i kinda forgot but wasn’t there a shipping fan base. i despise every bl with those dumb shipping fan bases it’s not even funny, it’s giving taekookers. BUT I did have fun watching the show. WAIT I forgot to add, that “Indian scene”. As someone who is desi I can confirm that, whoever made that scene needs to apologize because wtf was that. Like seriously I understand that their friend group was supposed to be funny and a “joke” but there was tons of other ways they could have represented that. Making fun of a culture was not one of them and it wasn’t funny and wasn’t giving at all. Also the fact that the comments that on episode was suppporting it?? Saying “Im so glad my culture is appreciated”. NO, that’s culture appropriation”, stand tf up. sigh im so excited for never let me goVond je deze recentie nuttig?
A Gem
This was unexpected and fantastic. Now I have only ran into one truly bad BL so far, knock on wood, so I am always happy when another one is completed and leaves me with happy feelings. This one has excellent comedy, a solid story, a wonderful timeline for the main relationship. It felt realistic, it felt emotional, it made you care for the characters.The main couple and side couple were equally fantastic, the last episode with the bedroom scene summed up how wonderful the four of these characters were.
Honestly with great leads and side characters you can go so far! The friend group was amazing, and I find that important in college BL romances. Those friends REALLY add to the show.

Typical story of university kids
the story is typical of college kids who discover themselves and try to accept and fit in with their environment and with themselves. the excellent actires and the ouedta on stage carefully. Not constant in the first two chapters the voiceover dw a narrator that we never identify gets fed up and wants to leave the series. but MORK and the appearances of MIX help to hold on. In the end it's nice to watch but you don't lose anything by not seeing it either. Pero solo quiero amarte, quiero amarte sin importar lo que piense la gente.
Después de ver las otras series del pondphuwin ya nomas me quedaba esta, su 1ra serie (según yo) y honestamente me gusto pero hasta ahí, eso si tengo que decir que tuvo muchas mas cosas buenas que cosas malas.La historia si siento que es muy cliché o bueno al menos con todo este tema de universitarios, el tímido (sin autoestima) y el chico popular (que se enamora de el a 1ra vista).
Pero bueno hablando en general de la pareja principal Pi es esta persona que no tiene amigos es muy tímido, también tiene muy poca o nula autoestima, y que se enamora de Mueang Nan según yo nomas por esa vez que lo acompaño a la parada de autobús, no vi un gran crecimiento en el durante la serie pq lit aun después de su cambio sigue teniendo todas estas inseguridades y digo se entiende y muy respetable pq quien en uno pa decirle como sentirse, pero yo esperaba que por ahí de los últimos caps ya se viera un Pi mas seguro de el, de lo que siente y asi, se la pasa mucho con esta idea de que Mueang es la única persona con la que quiere estar y aun cuando pasan ciertas cosas que ya como que le dejan en claro el sigue aferrado pero punto bueno pq tiene momentos demasiado chistosos que real me hicieron reír y no darme cringe (como otras series).
y luego tenemos a Mork que honestamente me cayo espectacular pero siento que a veces si se dejaba llevar demasiado por sus sentimientos (como cuando Pi seguía en negación pero el decidió decir algo en un live), como que el niño no conocía los limites pues pero la vd siento que carrea mucho los giros que hay en la trama y que nos explican varias cosas de pq Mork tiene sentimientos por Pi (y si te hablo a ti cap 9 y 10), spoiler y ni creo que tanto pero la vd o al menos yo desde el principio si supuse que Mork era el amigo con el que nomas Pi hablaba por mensaje "un chico de la facultad cercana" pero como dije tiene otros giros el muy interesantes.
Ya ellos como pareja siento que no se ve mucho de ellos (por lo que ya dije que se extendieron yo digo mucho con la trama de Pi queriendo con Mueang y rechazando a Mork) pero bueno lo bueno es que podemos ver distintas facetas de ellos, como al principio escondiéndose, luego pues yo digo que si bien nos dejan ver a Pi mas con sus inseguridades también se ve que Mork tenia algunas y luego ya tenemos todo este proceso de aceptación y de ellos ya no importarles lo que la gente diga. En términos generales a mi gustaron mucho.
Luego la pareja secundaria Duean y Meen me gustaron como pareja, siento que se ven muy bonitos además si esta muy cagado toda esta parte donde estas viendo los caps y de repente te mandan a ver la historia de un senior de 5to año o algo asi, digo si tuvieron muchos tropiezos en su relacion (mas Duean) pero ps al final todo termina de la manera mas bonita y pues todo este cambio que se nos deja ver de Duean gracias a que llego Meen a su vida si es algo de admirar si me hubiera gustado ver mas de ellos.
Luego tenemos varios personajes secundarios primero la pandilla de Mueang (Koh, Jok, James y Jeans) que umm no se que opinar de ellos a ciencia cierta, ósea están cagados y eso y caen bien pero para mi no destacaron demasiado y al final para mi nomas existian y ya.
Luego tememos a Mueang que no te cae ni bien ni mal pero luego en unos capitulos lo medio desaparecen y luego que no asista a la fiesta de Mork tampoco me hace sentido pq ps a lo que entendí ellos son mejores amigos y ya en el final le dan una micro escena de el llegando ya con la pareja principal e incluso Mork le dice de que no viniste a mi fiesta y el lo justifica diciendo que tenia algo que hacer además de decir que le dio un regalo (ayudarlos a descubrir como se sentían) y ya eso es todo.
Y ya por ultimo Bam que ella al principio caia bien pero la arruinaron con el tema que le dieron y al final nomas para darle un final feliz siento que lo que hicieron con el personaje se lo sacaron de la cola pq la justificacion neta es de lo mas pedorra que puede haber lit lo tipico de siempre.
Mención especial a los dos weyes de los fandoms que crearon, que la vd si tengo yo todo un temita con respecto a las acciones que hicieron (el acoso, el hablar mal de los ships, el seguirlos hasta su casa, el tomarles foto) umm no pero siento que también lo han de haber puesto como un reflejo de todas las personas que se obsesionan con las personas que forman un ship y que ya se ha visto mucho el acoso que suelen recibir los famosos por parte de esta gente.
En general una serie que destaca en varias cosas, tiene cosas muy padres (la comedia que tiene para mi de lo mejorcito), pero que también le falto trabajar mucho en otras cosas, por decir el hermano de Pi y Duean este Wan a mi me hubiera gustado verlo mas, ver mas la dinámica que tenían los tres siento que tienen un vibra bien bonita entre otras cosas que para mi faltaron.
La escena con donde ya se dicen de que tu eres mi fish in the sky es de lo mejor y la escena final tambien es hermosa yo queria ver mas de ellos:)
(algo que creo ya he dicho es que algo que me gusta y a la vez es que he visto que los personajes de Pond siempre son los que la "cagan" y a los que les toca pedir perdón necesito una serie donde esto se invierta).

I ADORE EVERY SINGLE EPISODE
The pace was a bit slower than normal but didn't bring any discomfort.The acting was on point, everyone did their jobs beautifully.
The plot was a masterpiece, don't get me wrong, it wasn't anything out of this world or exclusive, it was just a really well written love story of 4 people while struggling with their daily problems and loneliness, slowly finding true comfort and care from each other and decided to rely on it and take care of it. It was emotional, genuine, comtemplative (characters) and gracefully hilarious. It brought me lots of laugh, that's how funny it was.
The story was well written for the main couple but not so much for the side couple. However, I don't have much complain since the side couple's story was made good enough that I didn't object anything.
Overall, it was such a blessing that I got to watch this series. I'll rewatch it some time.

A really good and funny rom com but...
Contrary to the rest of this review, I actually found Fish Upon the Sky to be a really entertaining and interesting drama. But like so many other BL dramas, it's all fun and games until the main couple gets established. It goes from romcom to drama with emphasis on Dramatic real fast in the last few episodes, but if you're prepared to expect that then I'd say this is still a pretty good drama to watch.Story/Production
There were a lot of small conflicts I thought were super interesting and, unfortunately, a lot of overarching plots that made no sense to me. The beginning premise about Pi being in love with Mueang and mistaking Mork as his rival was pretty interesting and the scene where Mueang helps Pi realize his feelings for Mork was well done in my opinion. The unknown texter was just as cool to see with the way they shot those scenes, even if we knew it was Mork from the beginning. Even the plot about Mork wanting Pi to be public about their relationship (while I didn't enjoy the outcome) was pretty interesting. But the one thing that I absolutely hated the entire existence of the fanclub and any plot surrounding them. Not only did I feel they were super unnecessary (all the did was create conflict for the main ship, which I know is the point since it's a drama, but this was just excessive) but there was no valuable lesson learned from them existing in this BL. It would've been nice if they ended the fanclub's plotline when Pi expresses that he's uncomfortable with them getting involved in his personal life, but instead they shut down the fanclub twitter just reopen it for the random MorkPi vs MorkBam plot...? And that entire conflict was unnecessary to the development of MorkPi's relationship too. And because that plot along with the leaked pictures plot happened in the last episode, the ending of the series didn't feel satisfying. Honestly that's nothing new when it comes to GMMTV productions but it's still a shame. Also the fish upon the sky motif totally got lost on me. The entire beginning scene with balloons and the love confession was really interesting to me but I feel like it wasn't as nicely integrated into the story as it could've been which was a shame because that scene could've been so symbolic and a beautiful way to end the series. It did for the record, but it didn't really make sense at all in my opinion...
However the production of this drama went beyond my expectations. The editing is well done and it definitely helped give the comedy aspect of this drama, which was honestly one of the reasons I kept watching. Like a lot of BL dramas try to be funny in at least one or two scenes, but this drama? it's an actual rom com and I totally appreciated it. Extra kudos to the production team.
Acting/Cast & Romance
I really enjoyed Phuwin's performance in this drama! Although this isn't his first drama and I haven't watched any other productions he was in, I can tell from this BL that he's definitely talented. Boy's got range! They made him do everything from the heart wrenching confession scenes to the silly scenes, and he certainly delivered. Pond did a good job too, but if I'm being honest it was nothing too special. I can't tell if that's on him though or if it's because his character doesn't... really... have emotions? Or at least not in the beginning. When they get to the conflict about Mork wanting Pi to tell people about their relationship, I can kind of see more of his skills but there's not much for me to work with. Neo has always done an exceptional job in my opinion, I absolutely loved him in Tonhon Chonlatee and he didn't let me down in this production either. I'm not sure if this is Louis's first BL drama but I think he did amazing! He did a wonder job giving depth to his character. And Jan is one of the best female actors in thai BL in my opinion, so of course she did an amazing job as well.
Mix gets his own paragraph because the whole reason I picked up this series was to watch him act hehe. He did phenomenal as usual AND HIS SMILE IS SO CUTE!!
Now to rate the romance... The romance scenes? 10/10 I was squealing the whole time because the couples are so adorable when they're being cutesy with one another. (The scene where they make PiMork official and Pi has to hide Mork from Duean? I was losing my mind. It was adorable and a tad bit spicy which I can totally get behind). If I had to speak on PiMork's relationship overall though... It was good until they actually began dating. Honestly I felt like Mork was just a bad boyfriend in general, trying to push Pi to make their relationship public even though Pi was clearly not ready for that, etc, etc. It made their relationship seem so unhealthy, which is why this pair lost some points with me. But the build up before that, where Pi is coming to terms with his feelings and Mork is pursuing him is cute and kept me interested and invested enough to continue following their story.
Meen and Duean on the other hand? Now that's some good character development. We know from the beginning that Duean is a complete ass so the bad things he did to Meen in the beginning doesn't come as a surprise to the audience. What makes this couple so good is that Meen's personality type is to be upfront so as soon as he realizes Duean is lying to him/not treating him well, he immediately confronts Duean. (well save for the part where he avoided him for a little bit, but I'd say that's well-deserved). Also just Duean simping for Meen and becoming all soft for him later on in the series is just adorable ><
Music
The opening OST? AMAZING. Literally goes so hard and I didn't even realize Louis sang it until I was near the end of the series, but dang he did a good job with it. (Side note but if you haven't watched they're TPOP stage for that song you should definitely go watch it right now because PondPhuwin and NeoLouis are so charismatic and the entire performance is so impressive and fun to watch).
Also I know I just praised the production team earlier in this review, but... The bgm music used in the actual series was just not it. Who thought it was a good idea to put some sort of nightcore song over an emotional scene between MorkPi? Like no one rewatched those scenes afterwards and thought "huh this doesn't really go together"? It was so silly and kind of ruined the scene at times but if you just mute the video it's all good.
Rewatch Value
At first I was like no way I'd bother rewatching this series but I had to go back to watch a couple of scenes before writing this review and honestly... I watched 3 whole episodes before returning to writing this. So yeah... I'd say pretty good rewatch value.
TL;DR
If you're looking for a top tier, impressive, goes beyond all expectations BL, this is not the drama for you. But if you're looking for a not-totally-serious romantic comedy with a relatable main character and a push & pull relationship dynamic between the main ship then you're in luck -- Fish upon the sky is your answer. But save yourself the trouble and just skip over episode 12 altogether.

I watched this series over 3 years ago but I am just now getting around to review it…I love PondPhuwin and they are one of my favs but this isn’t my favorite BL. I felt like at times the acting was lacking and Phuwin’s character was annoying at times. The annoyance and moments in the plot was just disappointing…Since I’ve seen another series with this ship in it, I can say that they have improved so much from the acting in this series. The plot was lacking and was kind of boring at times. I felt like that story got interesting but only towards the end. Not my fav but it definitely wasn’t bad for 2019.Also I love NeoLouis and I wish they were still a ship. But I love how they are acting individually and obtaining some good roles. Hopefully in the near future they will become a ship again.

Fish Upon The Sky (2021)
Essa é muito divertida e linda essa série tailandesa, parece-me uma "comédia romântica" ao estilo de Doris Day e Rock Hudson. Os couple's são lindos demais e talentosos, de um lado, os protagonistas, que os atores Phuwin (como Pi ou Phattawe) e Pond (como Sutthaya ou Mork) e do outro Neo Trai como o divertido Duen, Duen, Duen, Duen... e o ator Louis Thanawin como Meen, que além de cantor maravilhoso da OST de abertura, representou bem o divertido ingênuo, puro e casto. Toda vez que Meen repetia o nome Duen, era a delícia dos fãs, era minha transcendência de um cotidiano caótico devido à Covid-19 no Brasil.... Delícia, o Duen mil vezes repetido funcionava para humanizar mais e mais o personagem vivido por Trai... O roteiro é muito inteligente, pois tentou fugir ao linear, uma "quase quarta parede" quando Duen conversava com uma voz em off, e tem o personagem Pi em conversa online com alguém que é seu esteio - Mork... Tudo muito divertido, e nessa pandemia, a diversão é o que desejamos. Queremos sorrir, e "Fish Upon The Sky" cumpriu esse papel, e quando terminou, ficou um gostinho de quero mais. Not My Usual Cup Of Tea
I stumbled upon this series only after watching the second trailer of "Never Let Me Go." As someone who isn't particularly fond of high school BLs, I never had this series on my radar. However, I can't believe I almost missed out on this delightful gem. Pond and Phuwin, whom I had no idea about before, have now become my favorite BL ship. It's quite bewildering because, by all accounts, I shouldn't have enjoyed this series with all its tropes, annoying sound effects, and intrusive shippers.Surprisingly, this series is more of a gay drama disguised as a BL, as both boys are gay and aware of it. Pi's yearning for Nan and Mork's longing for Pi make both boys gay. For a first-time actor like Pond, he did an excellent job portraying Mork, while Phuwin's performance as Pi outshined his subsequent one as Nuengdiao.
Though I didn't particularly care for Duean and Meen's story, I must admit that Neo and Louise did a commendable job in their roles.
What amazed me most is how I found myself enjoying this fluffy series. It wasn't all magical rainbows and unicorns, even with Pi's makeover. His life remained messy as he pursued someone who wasn't interested in him. Mork's good looks and kindness didn't make it any easier for him to win Pi's heart. Even after they became a couple, their journey wasn't smooth; Bam came between them, causing their breakup. Throughout their trials and tribulations, Pi faced privacy invasion from creepy shippers and bullying after his "ugly duckling" story was exposed.
Yet, despite all the challenges, the ending wasn't filled with rainbows and unicorns, but rather colorful balloons. The series showed the realities of their relationship, with misunderstandings leading to a temporary breakup. But eventually, the misunderstandings were resolved, leading to a heartwarming conclusion.
Perhaps that's why I found myself loving this series, even though it falls under the high school BL category. It's the authenticity and relatability of their journey that captivated my heart and made this series truly special.
