You know this is good from the theme song alone
TVB dramas have always been a hit or miss for me lately, but this? A breath of fresh air.So the vague description for this drama basically describes nothing about the plot. From the first episode, this drama got me hooked. The first episode did a great job in setting the story up.
I swear every episode has such deep and wise lines. The writer must be a poet or something! The cast was phenomenal with such natural acting. They all had amazing chemistry, especially the Tsung Fung boxing crew. There were so many naturally funny scenes that I felt like I was just peeping on moments between good friends.
Even though I don't like sports dramas and thought that would deter me, the overall plot produced right from the beginning really captivated me. I honestly don't think Wayne's character really developed, which is the only thing I would say is a flaw to me. That and his weird romance scenes. I skipped them. His personality is really complicated though.
Hoi Ching Nam the character is beautiful. What an inspirational guy. Owen is seriously so versatile for pulling him off so well. And the ending episode had a scene that was simply beautiful in tying everything up together.
Music is phenomenal, and I'm not just talking about the perfectly crafted theme song! You definitely need to give Ringmaster a try.

Not satisfying
I was glued to this because of Nam - him and Fung were great characters and great to watch. Man started out annoying and irritating but her character development kicked in and she mellowed to the point of normal. However I don’t get why Shek Ngo-San should get a happy ending - they get that he was the villain, right? A self absorbed, hypocritical, obnoxious manipulator who should have got his comeuppance in the final episode, instead he gets peace and closure. Not happy. He should have paid for his behaviour. I can’t call him what I want to without swearing g so I’ll just say this: he’s the villain and everyone just let him get away with it. And by that I mean the writers.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
