What a great little series!
i liked this series from the beginning......thought the (lack of) chemistry between the two main characters was intriguing as was the premise of having a one-night stand that goes wrong in all kinds of ways. But after the end, I LOVE it. Here's why:-- The actors were great. Yves Flores is experienced and it shows. The breakdown of his walls (physical and emotional) was beautifully reflected through the story arc of the series. Iyo Canlas had a tougher job, for me.....because I did not "bond" with his rather silly "true love's kiss" character. But Reb develops, too and -- maybe because his hopes get dashed -- he develops a much more mature perspective on relationships. Iyo played that change (which really only comes at the end) beautifully. When JM was crying in Reb's arms, you could see the fantasies coming down.
-- The plot was slow at times, but when you complete the whole series you get a better perspective and you can appreciate the whole story very clearly. Reb's flighty instability in the beginning was actually essential to providing room for him to grow and change. And because the plot is not rushed or superficial, it is believable, in the end, that two so dissimilar people might actually grow towards each other, and become capable of that kind of peaceful, accepting love.
-- The music was really good! I hope somebody pulls together a compilation, so I can re-listen. (There's a list of credits at the end but for a non-Filipino speaker it is hard to figure out which song is which.....) [Update: a fellow fan sent me this link for an OST playlist, which others might find useful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EeuOc_JdZw&list=PLXjXbBD8EzbnQ8p7cWorcwIPgKtKrjehz . My favorite song is Kargo. ("Nandito lang ako.....") Gotta go back and do a rewatch to remind myself how all these songs fit into the series plot.]
-- The entire series takes place inside one residence, so there's not a lot of scope for grand camera work. But the director and cinematographer made great use of close-ups. JM's and Reb's faces -- whether smiling, skeptical, eager or crying -- were the essence of the visuals and they were beautiful.
-- I do agree that some of the discussion about the nature of love came across as cheesy. But beneath that, there was an interesting question (how can two people who don't really agree on the nature of love get along?) , and an even more interesting answer: maybe love is not the same for everyone, and maybe couples need to find their own connections in their own ways.
This is the best Pinoy BL series of 2021 (so far). It is original, well-acted and has a lovely vibe. Well worth a watch.

Lock down at it´s messiest
Put two people together under quarantine and something is bound to happen, ether they will kill or kiss each other or get close to both...The drama starts off with this sweet sweet guy who goes to hook up anonymously with another sweet sweet guy but can´t and instead ends up stuck there for 2 week...
Sounds all sweet and fun just that the sweet, sweet guy is a broken, broken guy who becomes this evil slightly sadistic cold male lead who goes to great lengths to keep the anonymity and reinforce his very high walls. While mr optimistic rainbows does all in his powers to drill holes in those walls.
Will he succeed, is he worth it? I am not going to tell you, but I will tell you that me cold is pretty good with the whole consent thing and has some teddy bear moments. .. Mr rainbows is more fragile than he looks, And both pull off this lock-down pretty well keeping a pretty high entertainment value even though there are like 4 characters in the whole show and they more or less never leave the house.
There are no annoying characters in this drama and the ost is pretty decent too.
Was it great no, was it worth a watch defiantly yes.
Also I would like a second season for this, preferably outdoors.

So far the best BL from the Philipines of 2021!
Let's be clear, 2021 has not been the year of Pinoy BLs so far. Too many low-budget productions and strange storylines are the regularity.Fortunately, there are still little gems like this series.
It is not a bombastic big production, but rather a small, intimate love drama, carried by two outstanding leading actors.
Especially these two manage to give the series its special touch and to keep up the tension.
Unfortunately, the story sometimes gets lost in stereotypes, and especially the beginning is unbelievable. After all, why would someone like Rebe go on a sex date if he believes in true love and hasn't even been kissed yet?
The ending is all the better for it and I credit the makers for not making a simple happy ending and instead of taking the more realistic route and showing that love is not that simple after all.
Therefore, I strongly believe that we can expect a second season in the foreseeable future.

Heartbreakingly Honest
This contains spoilers.I did not have high expectations going into this series, but was immediately enchanted by it. One of my favorite things about this series is, the stories of Reb and JM were presented from their eyes. Even when they did not understand each other, they talked about it and really listened to what the other had to say. What I loved even though it killed me not to know, is JM's sexuality was never discussed. JM had been deeply in love with a woman, yet started having 1 night stands with men, and live streaming them. We do not need to know all of their secrets and JM's sexuality is not really relevant to his story with Reb.
Both men acknowledge their flaws without excuses. JM is still feeling the pain of his girlfriend leaving him at the altar for another man, and Reb's view of love is rooted in fairy tale like fantasies. Both try to make their points on why their view is valid, but in the end, they develop strong feelings for one another, despite their differing views on love. They eventually decided that they needed to work on themselves for their own sakes before jumping in to a relationship. JM needs to work on trust and his walls, while Reb needs to mature. They decide to keep in contact in the end, but not as boyfriends.
This series is for a more mature audiences, so viewers who want hot chemistry and instant passion may be disappointed with the pace and that the scenes that are mainly dialogue driven.
The end title teases that there may be a season 2. If there is, I hope that it continues the pace and balance of season 1. There were no external antagonists, the conflict was created by the two main characters. We do not need the former fiancée to show up to confuse JM. It would be nice to see them courting and dating to see if they have what it takes to make it long term.

Love is not always Fireworks!
I didn’t really want to write a review, and truth be told I’m really not writing one. I just wanted to leave this here for people that may get discouraged by all the negative comments in the comments section. This drama may not be the niche for everyone. But if you are someone who actually want to root for the mundane then this is for you. Because this what this drama truly was just a mundane thing, that truly reflected the times we are living in these days ( Pandemic) and all. There is no moment where you will go man this is far fetched. On the contrary you may actually go yep I have a friend like this. Reb reminded me of one of my friend who we always blame for being overly optimistic and sickening a hopeless romantic. And we like to remind her that she be that way because she truly hasn’t live yet. And in the same group we also have our JM, one who been so burn by love that she had wall so high that even though we love her it can be painful sometimes hanging with her and we let her know too. And just like JM watching her fell in love a 3 third time was a mess and we almost stop being her friends. Because hurt people hurt other people. And overly optimistic people like Reb can be so overly annoying l, you like applaud the fact that they can remain so sunny, but then you also resent the fact that you feel that they haven’t truly lived. Then you calm yourself and are grateful that your friend is spared that hurt because when you truly love someone you don’t wish them to be hurt. So to me I loved this little gem and truly hope they get a second season. Where we can see some of the sun that Reb spread shine on JM, while some of JM caution can be transferred on Reb. But that probably because like JM I love a calm, peaceful and mostly uneventful love. I’m not saying that I’m against fireworks. But I find that slow, steady and mundane love withstand more.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Unstuck On Me
Immediately I couldn't help but notice how reminiscent of "Gameboys" the series this one was. But at least it's not a complete copy paste situation. Though it didn't bring anything else new to the table either. Other than I guess getting over an ex relationship? There's been multiple filipino BL's that have done quarantine stuff better. So this was meh. I was never really rooting for this couple because they weren't very fleshed out. Or at points even likable, so I was just kind of watching to finish it. There isn't much else to say about it, but I would highly suggest those who haven't seen other BL's from the Philippines my personal favorite are "Gameboys", its companion film and "Like in the Movies". Those are incredible and bring a lot to the table. If you really want another quarantine BL and have seen "Gameboys" then watch "Quaranthings", its stronger than this was.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Love the Real
Looking for something cliché? GO BACK! Want something sweet and fluffy? YOU CAME TO THE WRONG PLACE! How about something with convincing realism? WELCOME!Now don't get me wrong, there were some cute moments that were actually a little too cheesy, but overall I enjoyed this as much as I did because of how realistic it was. There's been a few Covid related BLs lately that have all been great but I think this had the most natural response to everything. From one night stands to quarantine, it's an emotional roller coaster for anyone who's suffered a brutal, surprise attack breakup that left you bitter and unloving. Sometimes we get so smitten we forget the logical side of things and my little muffins bring all the pain and heartfelt moments to life.
It's pretty clear they're new to the acting industry, but don't let that stop you.
The ending will throw you off a cliff into some cacti lol
Enjoy...

What does love look like?
Stuck on you is a short Pinoy series following two very different strangers who, through some unlucky coincidences, have to quarantine together.Story:
- Despite poor production quality and evidently low budget, it is clear that some effort was put into getting the message of the story across.
- what I appreciate about the story is it’s sense of realism. It’s set during the pandemic and addresses how it affected people’s work lives, personal lives and mental health.
- the script of the drama however lacks attention to detail. This is made obvious by the behaviour of the main characters. Some of their choices or behaviour either doesn’t make sense given their personality or doesn’t make sense in relations to the situation they’re in.
- The story itself has the feel of a weak wattpad story about the mean guy and the nerdy one. It was cheesy (in a bad way) and therefore difficult to enjoy.
Acting:
- the characters had flaws, which both frustrated and satisfied me. With JM being detached and pretty rude and Rem being hopelessly romantic.
- the acting specifically was pretty weak and was hard to watch a times - but that might just be due to the cheesy script.
Music:
- the song , ‘Naghamamahal Din Lang’ is definitely what I liked most about this series.
Rewatch value:
…..I think it’s clear I wouldn’t rewatch this one.
Personally this show didn’t work for me although I appreciated the message. It lacked a certain hook or addicting quality that would make me interested in the outcome.

One of the best Filipino series this year, I recommend it.
Díval jsem se na tento pinoy projekt po seriálu Love Is. Bylo to jako nebe a dudy a rozhodně si nezaslouží mít tady jedno, a to navíc podprůměrné bodové ohodnocení. Především po herecké stránce byl Stuck On You o levely výš.

Wasn’t What I was Looking for But Still Good
I was looking for a more romantic fairy-tail-ish style romance when I ended up watching this one. Though I suppose basing it in lockdown during Covid should’ve been a clue that this wasn’t that.Stuck On You handles the stereotypical “two characters thrown together” in a realistic way. There’s no “well that wouldn’t happen in real life” moment because this very much feels like a slice of life and conversations that real people would have.
It’s incredibly emotionally honest. The actors completely sell that.
Rather than escaping reality through romance, this show brings your expectations of real romance down to earth. It teaches without being too heavy handed with it.
The sound design is the weakest part. There’s jumpiness between some cuts and when there’s a song sung in the scene, it’s so obviously produced and not sung onscreen

Will love ever find a way
I ENJOYED this drama so much so I liked the character development in JM he was really so cold in the beginning watching him change and finally admit Reb got past his walls and actually does feel the same way was quite something. Reb’s care free attitude about Romance and love was a bit refreshing the scene where they argued after the boxes fell I think was important because it addressed certain issues that needed to be talked about. In the end I thought Reb would be happy ? with JM’s feelings and they would finally truly be together I’m really hoping for a season 2 because this really couldn’t be the end of their story. I really enjoyed the music throughout each episode and how the two characters really carried the show because it was literally just themVond je deze recentie nuttig?
