The King of Tears, Yi Bang-won sheds new light on leader Yi Bang-won, who took the initiative to establish the Empire of Joseon during the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and early Joseon Dynasty when the ancient order of Goryeo was destroyed and the new order of Joseon was created.

Both dramas are about the rise of Lee Bang Won. He is main lead / main story in "King of Tears", while "My Country" has other main leads (2 young guys) but historical events are same and though as SML Lee Bang Won is one of most memorable, important and deep character.

Both dramas are about the rise of Lee Bang Won. Difference is King of Tears is meant to be a more historical take while 6 Flying Dragons adds some interesting characters.
