SPOILER ALERT! [8,5/10]

It's not a modern romantic Chinese drama without a domestic animal coming out of nowhere and the main characters have to take care of it. I don't dislike it because I love cats, but it was such a 'I knew it!' moment. Tang Yu adopts a cat that was abandoned on his parking spot and Tang Xin offers to take care of the cat. It's so predictable, I know they're going to be the mom and dad of the cat. I'm putting a quid on the table that they're going to take care of the cat together and bond over the cat. In this episode, we get to see that Tang Yu isn't being easy on Tang Xin at the workplace, and I like it. At the end of the day, he's her boss. He didn't sugarcoat anything when he rejected Tang Xin's proposal and gave her the reasons why her proposal didn't align with the company's objectives. Tang Xin isn't discouraged by the rejection and takes the initiative to hone her skills. I love her for that. She asks the department's boss to make her get involved in the production site of an upcoming movie and she learns a lot. I love how she's willing to learn, develop, and grow as a screenwriter. In the middle of filming the movie, Tang Xin receives a call from director Lu who we met last episode. He makes an offer to Tang Xin to produce her novel. I was so happy for her until a scene showed that director Lu knows Tang Yu. I don't know if we can trust his reason for wanting to adapt Tang Xin's novel into a movie. What if Tang Yu was the one who told him to produce Tang Xin's novel? Seriously, if that's the real reason why he wants to work with Tang Xin, he's a prick. I hope that's not the case.
