I loved the side straight couples though I never thought I would say this in a BL but yeah they made me hold on to their story even though it was so less of their screen time. The reason might be the age-gap trope.

Most wholesome serie I've ever watched
Cute, fun, wholesome. My only 12% is exactly what you need when you feel single just so you can realize how single you are.The first part of the series revolves around friendships, teenage life, loneliness and LGBT+ topics as such as accepting ourselves as "different" from others. And the way the writers go through the topic is just beautiful (and sorrowful).
The second part of the series is settled later in time, when the characters are 20-ish yo and go to the uni. This part is all about romance - and Istg I was blushing SO HARD for the most of the time.
This is so much more than a BL series - it's a journey through self discover and self-acceptance, where we feel the pain, the memories, the happiness just like it was our own life. Shout out to the main actors - they are just UNBELIEVABLE.

It was sweet drama
Well I'm fond of the stories where it starts from school to college days i guess this drama had a good plot on that , actors were good at acting and friends also were good at acting story was good it was really slow to show their chemistry working well in each and every plot i think this is good not like some dramas just in 2 episodes they fell in love but this drama wasn't like that but somewhere i felt it was too slow to add up the spicy things and no much jealous or cry between leads you know some kind of spicy between leads but i don't understand why his mother was died also 2 epsiodes was really lagging a lot i skipped so many scenes also when the lead went to US another guy was missing why do they have to give 1 entire episode for missing and remembering things in 2022 they r so many dramas getting hyped up and if we starts to compare would be another level but this drama should have been more plots between leads but i didn't get those but still i like main leads a lot also fan of stories from childhood friend till college lovers and and feelings between leads were showing slow progress where viewers can understand and get involved in their chemistry overall happy and i can recommend to others as well don't miss itVond je deze recentie nuttig?

Started from the top and went down hill
I loved the acting, the main actors Santa and Earth did a great job, supporting actors like Prem did really great job in the acting department. So if I was basing my rating only on acting and chemistry, this show would be probably get a 10 from me, but I'm not.The storyline started off strong, but a lot of the scenes were repetitive, several time I had to check to make sure that I was not rewatching an episode I already watched because the episode I was watching had the same scenes as the previous episode. That was really annoying and took me out of the story. It felt like the director didn't know when to cut scenes to make the story better on-screen. It seems like the director was putting in a lot of things in the show but at the same time it felt like nothing was happening because he wasn't added substance, just empty calories that just annoy me. The last 2 episodes are the worst, especially the ending. The ending was so confusing because it was just the friends walking in a mall, debating whether a location was in France or Italy, I was like wtf, I had to double check that was really the end.
After watching this show and BU and UWMA, I'm realizing that this director might just be the problem, not so much the script. It seems it doesn't matter the storyline, he always have to have one of the guys a whining mess, who is "afraid" of any sexual/affection that comes from their partner while they partner is more than willing to show that they desire them. So
the characters/couple become annoying even when you started off loving them. Unfortunately for me, my #1 pairing Bounprem is attached at the hip with this guy.
Anyway, this was not worst but it was also not the best BL I watch.

One of the Best BLs I've Seen
I'm completely re-writing this review after seeing this a third time. I've seen maybe 30 BL dramas now and this is among the best. The story about two guys who grow up near each other and fall in love rings true. There's a profound message under the surface when straight Cake declares he'll "be gay" just for Seeiw. Who cares who you love? Who says it has to be someone of the opposite gender? And when Seeiw apologizes for being gay, Cake asks him why he thinks he's gay. I think the point of Cake's question is, "who cares?" Why all these labels? Overall, this drama hits all the right notes. The score is beautiful, highlighted by Boy Sompob's OST, which brought the series to my attention in the first place. I had given "My 12 Percent" 10 across the board but in this revision I'm downgrading it to 9 on Seeiw's character. All of his crying wears thin pretty quickly and, toward the end, becomes almost comical. It's one-dimensional and really needed a stronger arc to have some kind of crisis for Cake where Seeiw could have stepped up to help him. On the other hand, I loved Santa's enthusiastic performance of Cake. BL dramas tend to be pretty timid when it comes to romantic scenes and Cake's unbridled kissing really sells his relationship with Seewin. It's even more remarkable when you consider Santa is only 19 and has much less acting experience than Earth. The great kissing scenes aside, this drama is surprisingly timid when it comes down to romantic scenes where Thai BL films like "WhyRU" and "A Chance for Love" have already set a high bar. This isn't to say that a bed scene is required, but please note there are endless references to Cake and Seeiw taking a shower -- separately. So there was a missed opportunity to show a change in the intimacy of their relationship to shower together. The supportive secondary characters are welcome departure from the homophobic cliches that seem to infect so many LGBT-themed dramas. In sum, a few minor complaints aside, highly enjoyable with a top re-watch score. I look forward to seeing this edited down to a two-hour movie.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

A GOOD DRAMA WITH 0 TOXICITY
Yeah it's basically a cute love story of 2 boys who have been together since childhood. We have seen many such similar plots but this plot is quiet unique.First of all I loved See-Eiw and Cake's chemistry. It seemed so natural. They were closely knit since childhood and the level of comfort they had with each other wasn't just that of ordinary Bromance. They always slept hugging each other. Both helped each other in their own ways. We saw that even when the phase came where cake had a girlfriend and was busy with her, he always cared about Eiw. Though Eiw felt neglected and hurt at times, whenever Cake felt like Eiw was upset, he always asked him..."are you angry..what's the matter"... At the time when he was about to leave for America, he prioritised Eiw and spent time with him, even at the cost of breaking up with his gf. After he went , I thought, maybe like most storylines, they will eventually lose contact and get busy with their own lives. But no! They stayed connected for all those 4 years, patiently waiting for each other while improving themselves. Eventually, Cake also realised that he was in love with Eiw and they became a couple. ACTUALLY, THEY'VE ALWAYS LOVED EACH OTHER. THEY'VE ALWAYS BEEN EACH OTHER'S HOME. ONLY THE RELATIONSHIP STATUS CHANGED FROM FRIENDS TO BOYFRIENDS, WITH A ROMANTIC ASPECT ADDED.
THE DRAMA ALSO FOCUSED ON QUITTING TOBACCO by showing how Eiw's mom had to die due to passive smoking.
Overall, IT WAS A HEALTHY DRAMA. THERE WAS SO UNNECESSARY LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP, THERE WAS NO DELIBERATELY MAKING EACH OTHER JEALOUS/MAD , HURTING EACH OTHER, THERE WERE NO TOXIC SECOND LOVE INTERESTS AND UNNECESSARY PARENT ISSUES. IT WAS OVERALL A VERY LOVEY-DOVEY WITHOUT BEING CRINGE TYPE OF DRAMA. BUT, IT WASN'T ANYTHING NEW, EXCITING OR EXTRAORDINARY. SO MY PROBABILITY OF RE-WATCHING IT IS PROBABLY LOW. BUT OVERALL ITS A FINE DRAMA.

Earth Katsamonnat Namwirote (Seeiw) tem se tornado um dos atores que mais admiro nos BLs Tailandeses. Ele consegue fazer a gente embarcar na sua doçura, sentir os seus dramas interiores e de repete colamos no personagem. A história carrega a gente para tantos lugares diferentes, com profundidade e sensibilidade, a riqueza da amizade, quando ela se torna algo mais, a confusão de sentimentos e o dilema em relação a isso, a descoberta de si, o medo de desapontar as pessoas próximas, a tentativa de preservar a amizade cultivada abstendo-se de revelar o que sente, ao mesmo tempo o temor de perder a oportunidade de não se posicionar, o cuidado como ato de amor, a escuta profunda e de alma que cada um tem sobre o outro ao se aconselharem. A história é contada num ritmo agradável, sem pressa, mas sem lentidão também. Santa Pongsapan Oudompoch (Cake) fez uma excelente atuação também, o casal convence bastante e novamente os amigos e irmãos que circundam os protagonistas exercem papéis fundamentais no BL. A simplicidade convida o expectador a sentir a história como sua, sem espetáculos ou "milagres". A história assim carrega mensagens que são um bálsamo para quem passou ou passa por esse momento de descobertas! Um outro benefício dos BLs que tenho experienciado e percebido em outras pessoas que comentam o mesmo, é como eles vem tratando ou curando o adolescente interior que teve tais vivencias interrompidas ou negadas.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

It is a must watch series. I just wished it was longer, more episodes, go for season two. I'm so glad that the lead characters were real life couples and that made the series more romantic and their acting/feelings is not faked they are all natural.

The best bl of 2022
The bl series that you absolutely must see. Personally, I appreciated everything about this story: the original and very deep screenplay, which tells the story of two common boys, the soundtrack that perfectly reflects the atmosphere of the early 2000s that many of us lived: the first cell phones, MSN for chatting with friends; and the level, in my opinion very high, of the acting of the two leads played by Earth and Santa.Congratulations the cast and the director, for me this is the best bl of 2022.

I love this series a lot. i know everyone choice are different but for me this series is so so good, i cried a lot and same time is fun and good story . i feel to watch again and for sure i will watch again. Everything is great except a couple things that make me wanna punt myself from the 8th story
This is a cute, predictable, childhood friendship turned romantic type story. The acting was impeccable, the chemistry between the boys (like all of them, even the friendships that are just friendships) was great. There are a lot of rough moments they have to get through, but they're handled really believably, there werent many moments where I felt kicked out of the story byecause something was farfetched and some of the conflicts gave me some heart squeezes, no tears for this one though.I think I could rewatch it if I really wanted, maybe in some years, but I'm also not big on rewatching anything, so take that as you will.
Cute as it is, I dont think I wouldve reviewed at all if I wasn't bursting at the seams to say:
wtf is the child + adult storyline???? A fifteen year old thirsts after a 20-sumn yr old and she ISNT immediately like no, absolutely not. And then her FRIEND (debatable, maybe her cellmate) is like, "i just dont want you to regret rejecting him like???? Babe??????? W h a t
And then shes going thru something traumatic and terrifying and this motherfucker is like "HI YES EXCUSE ME, I SEE YOURE GOING THROUGH A LOT RIGHT NOW BUT IM ALL GROWED UP HAHA plsdatemethx" i am flabbergasted because everything else was sooo good
Including that character until she failed to not fall for an actual child, the bar is in hell, how did you trip under it???

It didnt bother me until literally the second to last episode where theres an event he really has to get emotional for. I had to mute it until he was done which, considering the scene, REALLY took me out of the story. Up until that point, I think the whining wasn't the worst? Idk, ive watched things that have made me want to extract and pulverize my eardrums and this wasn't that for the most part.
Anyway, i would still recommend this because it's cute, the adult mentioned above has no sense but doesnt commit a felony (again, this is hell, would you like to meet the bar?), and the relationships between all the other characters are so fun to see play out.
(It would literally be a 9.5 without that one effing storyline.)
