Never judge a book by it's cover, that's what SCOY taught me
This series started out so awkward and cringy that I thought it was only going to be that. And because of that I wasn't going to watch it. Truth be told the trailer threw me off it. But, boy was I wrong & it highly surprised me. It was something beautiful that showed us that we all deserved love no matter how we are perceived by others. Whether, we are "outcasts" or not... Straight/bi/gay/lesbian/Ace/Trans--- whatever we are all equal when it comes to love and we all deserve happiness. It was great seeing the popular ones chasing the "outcasts/nerds" this time.We don't get BL series were the main character is like Toh seen as an outcasts and weird. If the audience sees them in a BL series, they are always supporting characters. But, in SCOY they get to shine and get their HEA. Extremely grateful for SCOY.
Also love how Toh and Nuea turned out to be one of the healthiest couples this year. No misunderstandings here(which seem to be plaguing BL lately) and when there were: those misunderstandings were rapidly cleared up by communication. Their love for each other was equal too. No: one loves the other more than the one loves them. TohNuea supported each other and just loved each other. Billy and Seng were amazing in their roles and their chemistry was fire. I hope we get to see them in another series. Sky and Jao stole my heart too. They were beautiful and heart how Jao lost his awkwardness little by little the more he spent time with ao
The friendship between Toh's group & Sky/Nuea was also the best. One of the strongest points of SCOY. Saint did an amazing job here and I think he proved he has talent to produce series. Can't wait to see his next one!
I rated everything 10 haha ecept the OVERALL category. There I went with 9.5 because there were some cringy scenes(esp in the beginning) that I can't get over but that's not enough to make me hate Secret Crush on You.
I highly recommend it. Don't sleep on it if you're thinking of watching just do it! You won't regret it. It may end up surprising you and be one of your favorites. Give it a chance.

Guys, it's ✨️Camp✨️
I get that this show may not be everybody's cup of tea, it's camp! That's it. Camp at it's finest. It's supposed to be over the top, the characters are supposed to be too much at times, thats how camp works! My lil group of gays outcast, they are just messy and quirky, and I love it for them 😂
I never write reviews but i just can't stand this scoy slander! This show is truly a gem 💎✨️

Just give it a try..
Well at first I thought it was weird and a bit cringe but I ended up loving it. I really didn't expect to enjoy it so much.I love all the main characters of this series.
It's a fluff drama with not any serious "villains" that get on your nerves and you can't enjoy the watch and (thankfully) without the typical misunderstandings that lead to break up's trope.
I really liked that the characters knew what they wanted from the beginning and they didn't fool around..
And although it's a fluff drama like I said before it touched some every day and more serious matters but without over dramatizing anything.
I shiped all the couples but my favourite was Sky&Jao they were SOOO frickin cute!!!
I also loved the music and the OST!!!
One thing that I didn't like is that Daisy&Touch didn't have much of screen time I really liked them together and I wanted to see more of them...
Anyway I think this is a 'hit or miss' drama either you gonna love it or hate it. In my case (surprisingly) I loved it...just give it a try and see for yourself:))

Groundbreaking empathetic BL with a big heart
SCOY is the groundbreaking BL that the BL world needed.. effeminate/feminine/non binary gay characters who have been always casted as side characters and comic relief get their love stories and shine in this show. Not only that it gives a lot of relatable moments for introverts like me who live half of their lives in their head because they are too afraid of confronting reality. Seng potrayed Toh's comically flawed introvert character with so much empathy. The show is exaggerated on purpose - so that a lot of concepts which was not shown in BLs before can ne introduced..it gives you second hand embarrassment, makes you cry, laugh, deliriously happy and in general reminds us the absurdism of life. Episode 1-3 is kind of a buildup with a lot of cringe moments from our airhead Toh but 4th episode onwards the show just goes to another level. It does not take itself seriously, and asks the audience to do the same.
Also for a larger than life absurd comedy genre, this show has a lot of heart, toe curling chemistry and insanely hot kiss scenes.

Ok wait...
This series is actually unto something. I'm posting this when I just started ep. 9 and OMG The SPICE Is Insane. I like every character in this series but The Main Leads are doing it for me rn.I did not expect to be liking a series like this because I'm more into dramatic ones like KinnPorche, Not Me etc... but SCOY just burst in and said, "This is going to be your favorite Series". When I say it is Sooo Funny, I mean it. It's so hilarious that there are points that I literally cry Lol. A series has not made me laugh this much, Ever and I've been watching BL for over 5yrs. now.
Kudos to all the actors/actresses/Director/Producer/Staff and everyone that suggested for me to watch this series.

WATCH!!!
I absolutely love the realistic themes portrayed in this bl, it shows homophobia, transgender, body shaming, insecurities, etc. and it shows how it's okay to feel a certain way or be a certain way that others may find "weird". it shows true friendship in wanting what's best for your friend and just being there for them while also showing how you should be treated in a relationship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
This got me mesmerized
I don't even know what to say, I was kinda indifferent with this series at the start, but with each passing episode I caught myself obsessed with all couples...I love the fact that they don't only talk about LGBTQ+ but also, body shamming and transphobia...
I loved every line of Daisy and InTouch they're such good characters, but Jao has my whole heart, he had such a low self esteem but so much love for Sky and I loved that.
The main couple was so cringe but cute at the same time, this series made me laugh a lot but I also cried with very little details and themes that were adressed..
With this I only have two words to define this drama: Love & Meaningful <3<3

This is such a unique BL.
Tbh I wasn't expecting this at all, but this is such a good bl. It takes a insecure highly introverted as main lead pair it with extroverted, confident and famous one in campus. I was really surprised by it's execution cause it's so much relatable as I'm introvert my self.Acting was perfect, story was perfect. there was no unnecessary stretch of content everything was concise which I really liked about it because it gets boring with unnecessary misunderstanding for couple of episodes. I definitely recommend this bl to be watched since it takes a unique approach.

Love This Show ❣️
I'm only on episode 9, so forgive me if my opinion changes later on. It's only natural that happens since all of the episodes haven't been released yet. Anyways, I'm in love with this drama. The acting, the story, and the music is amazing. I really enjoy the OSTs. The chemistry of the actors is amazing. I love a good show with great chemistry and a great story. At first, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it; but I was wrong. I love this show so much that I'm awake a lot later than I would usually be watching this show. That should say something. I'm seriously hoping this show stays great throughout the next couple episodes. I don’t want to love this drama then dislike it later on because they rush something, or do something stupid. I say give it a chance. I promise you, you will love the characters and the story. Possibly the OSTs too. ♡Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

IF YOU'RE NOT SEEING THIS YET, THIS IS YOU SIGN TO WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!
I love this, this is the kind of series that I will watch if I'm feeling down to boost my mood. Not too sad but full of kilig moments, although I don't like the part of Toh where he acts "like" obsessed and stalker at the same time. And you really have a lot to learn here especially in friendship. Definitely worth to watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I love this, this is the kind of series that I will watch if I'm feeling down to boost my mood. Cute, cliched, yet cringy!
I am going to be very honest. I had no plans to watch this series, even though it was on my list. After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit disappointed. But then I got to know that it was produced by Saint Suppapong. What can I say? I am a sucker for Saint. Just love that guy! So I said, okay, maybe one time, let's do this. But I was in for a very pleasant surprise. The 'main' characters in this story, a group of 4 friends. In a regular drama, the 4 of them would have been friends of the main couple, or sidekicks or used for comedic relief. But in this series? They are the leads. You have Toh, Jao, Daisy and Som (the only girl), all 2nd year students of Communication Arts. Their friendship is to die for. Toh crushes madly on one of the popular boys, Nuea, who has a clique of his own, consisting of Sky, Tor, Khongkwan and Fon. He ends up clicking Nuea's picture, which kind of brings him and his friends into Nuea and his group's lives. This is the basic premise of the story.
Nothing new, you say? I agree. Nothing new, except the way it has been treated. As I said before, Toh and his group are not your regualr 'lead' characters. But the way they have been built, the way they have been treated, is wonderful. I know a lot of people felt that Toh is a creepy stalker. But he is absolutely not. He has 0 stalkerish tendencies, because he never makes Nuea uncomfortable. On the contrary, it's actually Nuea who, if I may say this, uses the crush Toh has on him to turn a bit stalkerish and possessive. But in no way does any make anyone uncomfortable. Toh simply loves the attention that he gets from Nuea. Although he thinks nothing will come out of it, he still is happy he got a chance to be in the world of his crush. But much to his surprise, Nuea not only crushes back on him, he also wants to be his boyfriend.
Then we have Sky and Jao. Jao has body issues and is always conscious of that he may not be the perfect match for someone like Sky, so does everything to push him away. However, slowly and steadily, with lot of love, understanding and support, Sky wins Jao over. What really surprises me is how all a lot of issues have been handled. Jao's body shaming, Toh's apparent 'ugliness', Daisy being trans and In falling for that. The beauty of this series is the way in which Nuea and Sky handle their boyfriends' insecurities. The obvious and blatant public display of affection is so beautifully done, that there is no way in hell that anyone seeing them together will not be able to figure out that how head over heels in love Nuea and Sky are with Toh and Jao. They don't lose a single opportunity to tell their partners how beautiful and wonderful they are and how much they deserve their love.
This is why even I fell in love with this series. Because true love exists, but needs to be shown. The truth is, Toh and Jao are not the only ones like that in the world. We all face insecurities everyday because of the way we look, the way we are physically, intellectually, even mentally or emotionally different. We all have that one moment in life when we feel like we are the odd one out. And somewhere, we all want that one person who can just let us be ourselves, lets us dream of a better life, loves us without any boundaries, cares for us with their whole heart and makes us believe that we are perfect just the way we are. Finding someone like that is rare, but isn't it something we all dream of? So somewhere, SCOY makes you want to believe, believe that true love is there. Whatever look like, however you behave, whoever you are, love is waiting for you.
Things that I loved:
1. Acceptance of the families.
2. Blatant PDA!
3. The kisses between both the couples were hot and smouldering.
4. The 2 couples were given 2 distinct styles of NCs, depicting the nature of their relationship.
5. The three scenes in which Saint appeared.
6. The relationship, trust and love between the 2 sets of friends in their own groups and a group as a whole. I loved how they intermingled perfectly and fit together so well.
There are some things that did make me a bit frazzled.
1. There was a really weird and unnecessary fight scene depicted at the party Nuea took Toh to. Not impressive, and a sheer waste of time.
2. Daisy-Intouch and Som-Tor relationships were somewhat done outside of the screen. I would have liked to see a bit more of the development of their story arc.
3. Prao and her cronies. They were funny, but selfish and entitled. I especially did not like the fact that despite Nuea making his feelings perfectly clear, she could not take a 'NO'.
My opinion? Definitely a watch!!
