How to feel single for 25 episodes straight....
I watched this gem with my friend and we both loved it so much. This was such a fun, entertaining, and heart-fluttering show about friendship, first love, heartbreaks, and growing up - I thoroughly enjoyed it so so much! Zhi Zhi was such a sweety, cutie patootie and grew into such a kind young woman, who really fought for the things that mattered to her. Duan Jiaxu as a male lead ... I can't imagine anyone else other than Chen Zhe Yuan playing him. He is so expressive with his eyes, it's insane. His character had to go through many hardships being so young, but it was nice to see how he gradually relied on Zhi Zhi. Thanks to her, he finally felt like he could be loved too š My only criticism would be that I wish they had casted a younger version for Jiaxu as well as they did for Sang Zhi. I think this way the age difference that is addressed in the drama anyway wouldn't have been that big of a problem to some audiences. Sang Zhi's young version just looked so significantly younger than Jiaxu that it's no wonder people were like "eh" at first. Had they used an actual teenage boy, I feel it wouldn't have been so "bad". Also... they were kind of inconsistent with the age gap of 5 years... qhen Zhi Zhi turned 19, Jiaxu later turned 26? Why was he suddenly 6 years older?? Didn't make sense lol. Regardless, I really loved the show and will definitely rewatch it should I feel like screaming for 25 episodes straight^^Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

This has to be one of the best dramas Iāve ever watched. The actors did such a great job portraying their roles. Iām one of those people who donāt mind clichĆ©s, but sometimes I just need something ānewā and different, you know ? Well, Hidden Love didnāt disappoint. The plot is unique, so bonus points for that. Just a heads-up for those who donāt like the age-gap trope : the ML was 19 when he first met the FL, who was 14 at the time, but itās important to note that they DID NOT have any sexual/romantic interactions until much later in the show. The FL was of legal age when the ML started developing feelings for her. Personally, it didnāt bother me much, but I get why some people might find it icky.Now Iād like to talk about the main characters a bit.
Sang Zhi (FL) : Sheās childish at the beginning of the show, but I promise itāll get better (they skip 2 years foward to when sheās 19 in 8 ep, so dw). Sheās quite shy and introverted, which isnāt much of a problem, not every fl has to be badass or wtv, but even after she gets with the ml, she has issues with intimacy and iām not even talking about sex, just simple things like kissing. I found that a little annoying, because Imagine getting the man of your dreams, whoās not only hot af, but also respectful and considerate and not wanting to kiss him. Even when she did it, it felt kinda forced, like girl, kiss him like you mean it š Aside from that, I liked her character and the way she stood up for others and herself.
Jia Xu (ML) : Heās the most considerate ML Iāve ever seen in a drama, he literally pays attention to her every little move. Heās too good of a man to be realistic tbh. Their relationship is healthy, no unnecessary fights or arguments, just pure love. Heās like a fatherly figure to Sang Zhi, but not like in a weird way, itās just the way he cares for her so much and always puts her first.
Overall, I loved this drama and Iāll never stop recommending it :)

So worth the hype!
I loved this! I cried, I laughed, I giggled, I did everything....It is just so perfect. The actors and the fluffy story work so well together.I normally don't like stories where they get together too soon and it's too 'easy'. But this show idk what they did but it just worked. It was never boring and that's rare!
Also, that proposal in the last episode??? Perfection. I'm also very aware that there is no one like that in real life...very aware. But that is what made this show so exceptional.

Beautiful first love sweet story... Like a fairytale everyone wished to have
Hold on to your seats because I've got to tell you about this drama that blew my mind! I mean, Rosy Zhao's performance was out of this world, and her physical transformations were so on point that I had to do a double-take. From a teenager to a young adult, she crushed every single aspect of her character's portrayal.And let's not forget about the electrifying chemistry between the two leads - it was absolutely off the charts! Their on-screen relationship was so genuine that I felt like I was watching real life unfold right before my very eyes. LOVED IT!!!!Loved everything about this drama
Both the leads were perfectly casted and their chemistry was off the charts. I have never rewatched a drama this many times but this gave me butterflies in my whole body.
Story was simple and sweet with no overcomplicated drama which was breath of fresh air. Both the ML and FL were the greenest flags ever and perfect for each other.
This drama was just pure LOVE ā¤ļø

The bestest drama i saw in 2023 and also the best in Chinese dramas! Omg the story has u melting till your toes from the first episode till the 25th episode! Usually, i skip episodes in Chinese dramas because of the length n duration. After Meteor Garden, this is the next best!The cast has its own charm...leads have crackling bonding and chemistry! Kudos to the makers for making it so beautifully! Hidden Love will take u down nostalgia lanes of your own campus lives!

Finally A C-Drama I finished
It's so hard for me to find good Chinese dramas, so this was one of the rare ones that I watched from start to finish.The story is about a girl who falls in love with her brother's friend, who's 5 years older than him. Sounds spicy, and the trailer and plot made it seem like the couple will go through many ups and downs. But this drama was the complete opposite of dramatic. It was so sweet, without being cringe. This was one of the main reasons why I loved this drama. The guy was so romantic, sweet, and caring, without being too over the top. The girl may seem spoiled given her family background, but she was raised right: humble and kind. They complement each other so well!
The progression of how the couple grew to be together was so natural. At first, I thought the actress was too cutesy in having to play a younger girl, but I ended up being used to it, and it worked on her.
In real life, the age gap is only by 2 years, so I'm curious to know how it would be like if the age gap was further, to be more realistic. Either way, they had amazing chemistry, and I'm going to miss this cute couple.

Simple but amazing
Modern Cdramas are either hit or miss especially romcoms as they tend to be cheesy and cringey. This is a bit of unexpected surprise. It is simple but executed and told well. The chemistry between Zhao Lusi and Chen ZheYuan is so natural and organic. Their brought their A+ game.Although the first 6 episodes is somewhat slow but it does pick up after and their story becomes magical. When Sang Zhi meets DJX again in his city where she attends university, SZ secret love is no mote, itās out in the open for DJX to uncover.
Highly recommended. You wonāt regret

The best cdrama
I just finished it and I loved it so much š„ŗ Itās a slow burn love and itās really perfect. All the characters are amazing, Iām in love with Jiaxu. Sang Zhi and Jiaxu are green flags and I love that.AMO TODOOOO. Aparte la mĆŗsica, tan lindaaaaa, me gustĆ³ muchĆsimo. Es uno de los mejores dramas que he visto, muy tierno, muy sano y muy emotivo.

Pure love and trust
Love in all phases. From admiration to crush to puppy love to romantic love and mature love.The purity of the love and trust of the FL to the ML is really heartwarming. And the ML is truly captivating as he navigates from an older friend's affection to a deeper and more mature love.
Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan have perfectly portrayed their roles.
I've watched it a couple of times already and it still gets to me. The smiles, the tears, the romance, everything.
I hope Lusi and Zheyuan will have another drama soon.

A Heart-Warming Romance Story
The theme of the drama, the soundtracks, the chemistry between Zhao Lusi and Chen Zhe Yuan were perfect. It'd be nice to see these couple in a drama again.The bond of brotherhood between San Yan and San Qi was so beautifully created that I couldn't help but be jealous. I think sibling relationships are always the same no matter where in the world they are, and the series handled it very well.
The love between Duan Juaxu and Sang Zhi is truly enviable. Even I had butterflies in my heart while watching the series. I'm afraid to give spoilers if I write something more about this gorgeous couple. LOL.
If you want to watch a kind, heart-warming, a little fun, romance youth series, you should definitely watch it. You won't regret it.
