Yang Ying's Concern
Yang Ying always hides her concern before Ning Yuan Zhou and everyone. She only admits she is afraid in front of Yuan Lu who is the same age as her. She is afraid of the violent ruler of An, the death of the envoy group to save his brother, and worries that she might die in An. Yuan Lu smiles and comforts Yang Ying in his own way. (Source: Viu)

Must say this is a masterpiece from script writing, directing, fighting choreography, great ensemble of cast , great likeable side characters and badass FL and ML steamy chemistry. Oh the humor here is just spot on. Really no boring or draggy moment at all. Now what we all waiting for is if show will continue it trajectory and end well with a good ending and no cliff hanger

Ruyi is totally caught up with who harmed her mother-figure, the Empress. The Marquis is totally obsessed with Ruyi and instead of respecting her as his Master he covets her as a love objects. She will have none of it and Ning is giving up on him becoming an ally in fixing the rot in the An dynasty.
