Middle episodes are the best
This show suffered from being too long. It should've been 16 episodes instead of 24.The first 5 are repetitive and somewhat boring.
6-12 are REALLY GOOD. The ML does a really good job pining for the FL. His acting during these episodes made them super enjoyable.
13-end are repetitive again. There are a few fun moments sprinkled throughout, but nothing memorable.
Acting was fine. Story was fine, nothing special. I might re-watch 6-12. Then again, I might not.

It's cute but not something I would rewatch
The series initially caught my eyes because my random playlist in YouTube had one of the songs in it. Synopsis wise, it was sounding really interesting and as it was only 24 episodes long, I decided to give it a go - also because Lin Yi was starring in it and I kinda find him quite an alright actor. Overall, the entire cast of this series did a good job bringing the show to life. Story wise, I did not really find it fascinating anymore after watching it. Sadly, I would admit that this is the first show, after watching the first 11 episodes, I decided to skip to the last 2 to watch ( xD) .Zhou Ye as the Main Female lead was awesome. I really like her outspoken attitude - in the series. Both her and Lin Yi do make quite a compatible pair - romantically or whether while in game etc. But that is all about it.
The music paired for this series is awesome. I sort of enjoyed the OST more than the entire series. Maybe one day, I will try to watch the entire series from episode 1 till end, but for now, watching first 11 episodes and the last 2 have to make do.

An easy drama for easy audiences
Couple had decent chemistry. Although ML was really annoying in the beginning, I liked the turn things took when she was dumped by him and he started to go for her. It really balanced things between them. However, they spent a long time in this dynamic. So much that when they finally do get together it was a little anti-climatic. Let me explain: ML wanted to confess his love for FL, so he prepared the moment and place to do it. He tried two times but smth always happened that prevented him from doing it. There was also the date their moms set up for them but he didn't show up. So, anyways, when he is eventually able to finally confess his feelings, it's like this in the middle of an alley, with some random clothes hanging to dry and some nosy children barging in. It just didn't give me the feels. Their first kiss was a little underwhelming as well. Actually, everything after they get together is a little underwhelming. They had cute scenes, that's true, but they were scarce and writing was sloppy.I didn't like how the focus switched to the company's problems in the last eps. The couple was totally overshadowed by that. This plot had a lot of twists which were rushed and poorly explained. Mainly due to the fact that it was introduced later than it should. And let's not mention how the leads went from uni straight to good positions in a big company. ML was even the boss! I still can't understand that.
Personally hated when FL started working for both departments. She gave her all to keep up with the double workload but they kept putting the blame on her for anything. Like when she first presented her drawing for the new game character and everyone roasted her, forgetting the fact that 1) she had just arrived in the project so she didn't have all infos, 2) she never had to do that kind of work, and 3) she was working there bc ML had insisted A LOT for her to help him. Besides that, she missed meetings in one dept. bc she was attending meetings in the other one, and everyone judged her like she was the one deciding those things when both of her bosses were the ones who made a deal for her to work for both of them bc they didn't want to lose her. It didn't make any sense!
I didn't like that they rivalized the two departments. Director Jiang was a good guy and a good boss, he didn't deserve to not be recognized for his hard work. There was no need to put many of his subordinates leaving him to pursue AAA games with Gu Xun. It was like only triple A games mattered and Jiang's game was inferior smh. The moment that Gu Xun's team got the award, I felt sorry for Director Jiang. He was nice, I liked him.
Second couple was... ok idk. I liked him, he was a nice leader and the main reason why she continued working in the project. I liked her too, she was cute. But when he started dating another girl and became a coward and an idiot, I just didn't know where things were going. He basically made her do half things he should be doing as a boyfriend. Like buying gifts and making excuses for when he couldn't meet his gf. Glad he realized that in the end. He is really a nice person. But a terrible bf. Hoped they would focus more on them as a couple after that. They did, but not in the right way. Basically they were one of those second couples that only get together at the last ep.
It was a nice watch anyways. The drama is light and fun at times. There was no annoying side characters or draggy plots. Although last eps could've been way better, they didn't last long so that was a relief. Their chemistry is not much explored after they become a couple. None of the OSTs caught my attention although they weren't bad either. It's an easy drama for easy audiences.

This time second leads
The drama commenced with a video game setting, where four groups of men and a lone girl engaged in gameplay while concealing their true identities. Meanwhile, the girl had a crush on her college boy and when she confessed her feelings to him ,he rejected. However, as the story progressed, their paths crossed again, leading to the resolution of misunderstandings. Interestingly, I found myself more invested in the love story of the second leads rather than the main couple. Overall, the plot was average in my opinion..

The drama isn’t honestly that bad, I’m only dropping this because I’m close to the end and they’ve already gotten together and I just don’t have a lot of time to finish the rest of the drama. In my opinion, the plot of the story is pretty good and fast moving. With our male lead having a crush on an online friend d but also not knowing his online friend also likes him back but in reality. The cast for this show for this show is pretty good.
My biggest issue with this show is it kinda of feels like an e-sports drama. I understand that they never actually play any video games in the drama but there are lots of scenes where it involves the main leads having obstacles on their game app that are launching. I’m here for the romance and not their idea for coming up with ideas on the game so you kinda have to skip around.

I can see why everyone would love this
This is a sweet, fluffy, easy watch that offers so many miss-understandings it becomes ridiculous yet stays oddly entertaining. If you are looking fo r any kind of substance, realism or I don't know healthy relationships... This is not the place to find it but if you can overlook a bunch of stuff and can enjoy predictability, cliches, misunderstandings and bickering this is a really good place to find it.While the misunderstandings are never ending, and here seem to be a few attempts of including depth as well as a lot of, lets show the world that China can create... with its own culture... You know the usual patriotic stuff us c-fluff viewers have learned to ignore most of the drama is a easy watch and a display of people playing with gender roles, double standards and damsel in distress vs. volgar bad ass like it was 1995... Making me feel all nostalgic inside.
Our male lead is another guy who at times lacks communication skills, and indeed can get a bit macho over protective at times while being the type that can appreciate having smart active women around him... which is kind of nice. He is also portrayed by Lin Yi with all Lin Yi has to offer so for all those who can appreciate Lin Yi this is not a bad place to watch him.
The female lead has more mood swings than number of clicks a on a keyboard in a gaming tournament. And while her characters action should lead to a bunch of second hand embarrassment, she did not really get on my nerves even once (wich is really rare),
The side couples and side characters (including the parents) are lovely too (most of the time).
All in all making this an entertaining watch... Or at least the first 19 episodes or so, the attempts of plot and depth towards the end where kind of meeh...

Slowburn and Boring
They really tried with this show, got an amazing cast and wasted their efforts. The leads dont get into a relationship until the drama is almost towards its end and even tho i love both leads but there seems to be barely any chemistry between them.Tooo much focus on other things in the plot and too much repetition of problems between the leads. Infact the 2nd couple of the assistant and main lead's friend is having loads chemistry instead and way more interesting plot between them.
I was excited for this show but it's dissapointing. Still I'm finishing it bec i want to see the 2nd couple get together.

In the mood for laughter and love
If there's one thing I appreciate about cdramas it's that, from time to time, they manage to produce a story with characters behaving their age but also showing a pleasantly surprise maturity to their actions. In recent years, youth dramas like Love O2O, Our Secret, You Are Desire or When I Fly Towards You come to mind. Everyone Loves Me falls into this category. We are presented a group of characters who are young enough to make mistakes, but old enough to be aware of their limitations, of their missteps, and learn to grow from them.I really liked both leads. Particularly Ling's spitfire personality, which is a breath of fresh air and I loved every minute she made Gu Xun sweat. But he didn't lose against her. Gu Xun was charming and overall had a great presence, boy needed to be taken down a notch tho. And thanks to the fact both leads are written as equals through their entire journey together, at the end of the drama it feels like they have come out as better people. I even dare say, it feels like their story it's just beginning.
Lin Yi and Zhou Ye have great chemistry and managed to portray their characters really well. They clearly had a lot of fun working together and with their character's development. I would love to see them work together again in the future.
The rest of the cast was also very good. The supportive characters hace each a function in pushing forward the story at the workplace and the leads's personal lives, which made for some very interesting office tension and hilarious interactions out of it. For example, at the beginning of the story leading man it's arrogant enough to know a good quantity of girls are crushing on him but for someone who claimed to be so popular, he spent a good portion of the story dealing with loves rivals from right to left, up and down. Everyone Loves Me? More like Everyone Loves Her. The results were awesome.
This was a very fun and easy going drama for me, with lots of re-watch potential. Every time I watched a new episode, it put me in a good mood and that's enough for me to recommend it.

Not quite there yet as a real Romcom.
If you look at the trailer or read the description you will immediately think this a great Romcom. However, this fell short in so many ways. Let me first say the highest rating I gave is for the story. The story had real potential to be a blockbuster hit. It had all the makings to start a good Romcom. It just never got there. If I had to sum it up it was just boring. It never had two parts that go together. You know, peanut butter but no jelly, bread but no butter. The title does not go with anything. So a great story but the leads were not enough to pull it off. Individually they were cute but together no chemistry. I tried to give it every chance I could. I watched objectively until the end. I gave up better dramas for this. But when you start fast-forwarding through most of the episodes, you know something is wrong. Many of the comments ask why the ratings are so low. This has a slow pace and never really goes anywhere. It reminded me of those short dramas on YouTube that give you different versions of the same plot. I fault the director for not knowing where to go or lead this drama to make it more exciting and loveable. I fault the writers for giving the actors too much dialog that they could not pull off. Thus, making the actors look like bad actors.
On a positive note, it is a rom-com and there were some funny moments. There was a hint of romance but it was barely fulfilled because it took so long. It has a happy ending.

Charming Yet Flawed...?
Overview:As a fan of Zhou Ye's previous works like "Scent of Time," "Back from the Brink," and "Love Me, Love My Voice," I eagerly anticipated this series. Although familiar with Lin Yi, the male lead, I hadn't watched any of his previous series. It tells a lighthearted story of two individuals transitioning from being gaming partners to real-life partners.
Plot Summary:
The story revolves around Yue Qian Ling (Dough Twist in the game), a spirited and talented gamer who catches the attention of another pro player, Gu Xun (Campus Hunk). Unbeknownst to each other, they form a close bond as game partners. Qian Ling has a crush on Gu Xun, her schoolmate, while Gu Xun is enamored with Dough Twist. This sets the stage for a comedic romance filled with misunderstandings and miscommunications.
Character Dynamics:
The series explores the dynamics between Qian Ling and Gu Xun as they navigate their feelings while unaware of each other's true identities. There's humor in the advice Gu Xun gives Qian Ling, leading to misunderstandings and rejection. The revelation of their identities adds a layer of complexity to their relationship, causing both to approach and avoid each other in turns.
Pacing and Enjoyment:
At first, the show is exciting and keeps you interested. But in the middle, it starts to drag and feel a bit boring. The dating part, which should have been more exciting, doesn't happen until episode 20 out of 24, which feels late. It would've been better if they showed it earlier. Despite this, the music is still nice and adds something cute to the series.
Acting and Performance:
While Zhou Ye and Lin Yi deliver decent performances, this series doesn't fully showcase their acting abilities. Both actors have shone in more serious and emotionally charged roles, whereas this leans towards light-heartedness. Nonetheless, the cast does well in their respective roles.
Rewatch Value:
The series holds rewatch value up until around the 15th episode but loses steam in the middle. Despite its enjoyable moments, the dragging plot during certain parts may deter viewers from revisiting the series frequently.
Final Thoughts:
It offers a blend of humor, romance, and gaming culture, making it a light-hearted watch. While it has its entertaining moments and a strong start, the pacing falters towards the middle, impacting its overall enjoyment. However, fans of Zhou Ye and Lin Yi may still find it worth a watch for its charming performances and cute storyline.

Rom-com series with Lin YiPLOT: The FL, student and designer, is rejected with a bang ### SPOILER (ep. 7)### by a TOP student/game designer, the ML, who she has been crushing on for a long time. They are on the same playing team (without knowing it). and work then in the same company (design of a Class A I-game).
PROS:
+ a very cute CL, with 1 beautiful alchemy. They are both intelligent, with temperament. No naive innocent FL, it feels good.
+ excellent young actors, who bring endearing characters to life. There is no Great Villain, all the characters (or almost all) are credible.
+ The narration is lively and skillful. The images are beautiful, the settings realistic.
+ The story is well constructed, without unnecessary twists. The guiding principle is the creation, design stages and promotion of an online game.
+ The OSTs are catchy and well suited to this type of series.
### The recurring morality of Chinese series: perseverance to believe in your dreams AND hard work (for the honor of China) (◎_◎;)
