A Missed Opportunity: When a Promising Drama Falls Short
What's the target age group for this drama? Is it 13 to 18? The plot, actions, and dialogues of the characters are so childish and illogical that it's hard to believe it wasn't meant for that age range. Given a story about a centuries-old demon and a young, successful CEO caught up in a murder plot while the dealing with diminishing power, you'd expect a thrilling, suspenseful tale with lots of unexpected twists. Instead, we get clingy dialogues, endless flashbacks/slow motions, and main characters who are always outsmarted by not-so-clever villains.The leads are undeniably stunning and have great on-screen chemistry. However, Kim You Jung seems too young for this role. She lacks the depth to convincingly play a successful CEO and comes off as a kid playing dress-up. As for Song Kang, it's a shame his role allowed him to be a wicked demon for only one episode; the rest of the time, he's just love-sick. The supporting cast didn't stand out either.
Ultimately, this drama doesn't quite deliver the depth and excitement you'd hope for from such a promising premise. Even though it starts with an intriguing plot and visually appealing leads, the execution misses the mark, leaving viewers feeling like something's missing. The show struggles to balance its supernatural elements with a coherent, mature narrative, making it a missed opportunity. If you're looking for a gripping and well-structured story, this drama might not meet your expectations. It’s a reminder that good looks and star power aren't enough to carry a story that lacks substance and depth.

I cannot even begin to explain the amount of emotions I felt throughout this series. It was a rollercoaster from the beginning and I never knew how I would feel each week. It was not very original at all in any sense, super cookie cutter, nothing that I have not seen before. Plus, the series started off strong. Super comical, made me laugh so much… but it dragged on so much after the first 5 or 6 episodes. I think this would have been better at 12 episodes rather than 16 due to the amount of filler added. Also, even though I absolutely dislike sad endings, I was actually a little irritated with the fact that this was a happy ending.The one thing I won’t complain about is that OST. Oh my the OST. One of the best I have ever heard in a series. I constantly am found listening to it when not watching the show.
My favorite character or characters of the series were the Wild Dogs Gang! Or should I call them Perilla Seeds & Scallions? Whenever they had a scene in the series, even though they were very unnecessary as I do not remember them actually helping at any point except for when searching for Gi Kwangchul, I would crack up with laughter. I think out of everything in this series, I will miss them the most.

I love this drama. There are so many parts that were excellent. It has an great cast, amazing acting and the 2 leads had the best chemistry I've ever seen in a drama.The pacing of the drama was perfect, never felt there was filler or too many side stories. It all felt very well-rounded and consistent and everything was wrapped up neatly and didn't feel rushed near the final episodes. There was also tension that made you look forward to each episode. I will be re-watching this drama many times and can't wait to buy the behind the scenes DVD!
There was a tiny plot hole so I deducted half a point but other than that it was perfect.

My Demon dosent look like one
I never enjoy this drama though it has the most famous actress and actor as main casts. In life there is no such thing that will be like this drama and what I never like is a person lives so many years and to live with human. Ofcourse it is just a story but it is so faked that I stopped watching after Episode 10 and it is a drama I was not keen or looking forward to watch to the next epsiodes. It wasn't ineteresting to begin with and all the way it was and never will. And the main actress is more suitable to be in historical drama and I cannot enjoy this drama of hers. seen shows like this before but it’s still 100% enjoyable
the plot is quite simple and there is not anything truly special/crazy about main story. HOWEVER, the casting makes me 10 times more excited and they make the plot more interesting. Best drama there is for romcom & fantasy.
I'm not much of a romance drama fan, I watched this because of Song Kang's awesome work on Sweet Home , wasn't expecting much since this was a romance drama but it piqued my interest the more I watched it & now I can't wait until they release a new episode. Really like how this is progressing. From cast to the crew everyone's doing a great job making this beautiful drama .Hope they will continue this for more seasons if there are more to told after Song Kang's return from 2 year military service. Started off Good but failed
I really looked forward to this drama. I was on edge of my seat watching the first episode but lord o lord this don't keep better. I lost interest to watch the drama it was really bad. LETS TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT I LOVED ABOUT THIS DRAMA!THE STORY!
The story was so damn good! all the characters were build in such way that either way they were connected to each other. The first meet when the tattoo transferred and the last episode scene when she wishes him back and he just appears there, these were such a memorable scene in the drama. Next it was soo good to see every characters backstory so smoothly without over exggagerating it!
THE CHARECTERS!
The demon : Can anyone complaint about song kang ! he's such a angel and his acting skills were super awesome in the drama! His savage moves , his smile had me at every moment! the way he calls do he "do do". super cute song kang...
Do do he : she was so good in the boss role ! the way she handles her elegance with a soft feminine touch i loved it . She slayed it.
THE OST:
addicting!!!! the title song gives goosebumps ! and all other song were soooo good.
OVERALL THE DRAMA WAS A HIT FOR ME BECAUSE I LOVED IT AND I WAITED FOR EVERY SINGLE EPISODE EAGERLY!!!

I love everything about this kdrama! It's got the perfect blend of romance, comedy, and thriller, along with a healthy relationship. The main leads look perfect together, and you can sense there's something more than friendship between them, especially in their behind-the-scenes moments.
