Omg!!! Truck-kun where did you Isekai him to? ???
- Memories don’t disappear. They are smeared to your soul.When you see ‘Romance’ in a tag you look for chemistry and my god they had it. The constant timelines and parallels of snow and cherry blossom was a great symbolic usage of beautiful love myths.

Just completed it so I’m having extremely mixed emotions but loved it.
But I don’t know whether it was because of the ability being overpowering or something but our Sol only used her power for comedy settings. Ryu Sun Jae being an extreme green flag has my standards on a level I don’t know about anymore and shout out to the coolest ex-boyfriend Tae Sung. The parents being absolute admirers of their children and our second couple being just as green.

Lovely Runner Aka The Loveliest Drama
This drama is honestly so good. I was there since day 1, when tvn posted their first promotion on their instagram page. I was really conflicted into watching it because byeon wooseok was there as the maincast and he always dies (back in 2022 i saw a youtube short where he said that he likes taking roles where he dies because its realistic or smth and i was not into kdrama durng that time but i was sure if i ever were to get hooked into the kdrama world i would skip his series purely to save my heart from crying) fast forward to 2024 where i finally started watching kdramas, i could not hold myself to wait for this series to end and then binge watch ( i watched ep 1 the day after it got premiered :'D). I would eagerly wait for mondays and tuesdays. and no amount of words can express how thrilled i was to watch this series. This plot is too intense tho, like at end of each ep something bad has to happen which can bring a lot of frustration. This series is something that you would enjoy waiting every week for the eps to upload but definitely not binge watch worthy. Thankfully i did not binge watch as i initially planned of otherwise i would've gone insane. Regardless of the complex plot, i still love this show with my whole heart. The ost and the acting was soo goood. Hye yoon potrayed imsol's character so well like she's soo adorbb. Sun jay being the biggest loser was such a nice highlight. Taesung being the best 2nd lead of kdrama history was an absolute refreshing take. Every week i would laugh and cry for this drama. Lovely Runner is the loveliest drama.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Lovely Runner is the BEST RomCom Drama in 2024
Lovely Runner is the BEST RomCom Drama in 2024 ... It's like my Monday & Tuesday therapy Pill and I can't still get over it till now 2 weeks after it ends ... I have rewatched it for the 10th time now and still counting without even skipping an episode. I love Kim Hyeyoon here and she has shown us much depth in her acting and she has matured and developed. Her pretty & soulful crying and her awesome comedic timing and her great & natural chemistry with Byeon Woo Seok are on another level. I've become a True Fan of both Hyeyoon and Woo Seok.Lovely Runner is like magic and it's a complete recipe for romantic comedy from the exploding and natural Chemistry of the OTP and their True love that prevails in all the timelines, Im Sol and Ryu Sunjae on and off Screen (please do watch their behind the scene it's like another drama altogether hehehehe), the most well-loved second lead Kim Taesung (become BFF with the Im Sol on the last timeline) and Sunjae's BFF the lovable Bae Im Hyuk and the rest of the cast in the drama and the Great writing and cool directing and it came together as Magic for me. Love the perfect flow of the drama and all the episodes for me is exciting and not predictable for me at all. In the first episode alone, I was crying when Im Sol was lying on the bed who had lost all reason to live due to her disability and contemplating ending her life but was saved by Ryu Sunjae words of comfort and hope to think of her love ones who will be hurt if she ever decided to end her life and just take life one day at a time. Hyeyoon's acting here gives me goosebumps and the next thing I just bawled my eyes out. It's like a healing moment for me.
Lovely Runner has become my source of comfort, fun, and excitement and this will go down in history. Hope they will receive lots of awards.
It's a MUST watched drama and I haven't moved on with this drama yet. SolJae forever

Lovely Runner Review - ZyKuu
Masterpiece. Im Sol and Sun-jae perfectly played their roles, I loved the relationship and chemistry both leads had. The supporting cast was phenomenal especially Tae-sung and In-hyuk. Plot was excellent and there was a unique display in regards to the concept of time travelling. This series drew out a variety of emotions from me as I started tearing up at both the saddening and heartwarming moments, and began laughing out loud during the comedy scenes. The romance in this series was nothing short of perfection. The Soundtrack is Incredible. Not only did this work of art entertain me, but it gave me hope, and I am genuinely sad that it is over :(Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

WE NEED MORE K-DRAMAS LIKE LOVELY RUNNER
**This is purely just my opinion and you are entitled to have your own opinion! :)**If you're in the k-drama community, there's going to be hidden gems that you discover. These dramas are often underrated and not talked about. Many people's faves could be completely unknown to others but that's not the case for Lovely Runner. If you're in the community that watches k-dramas, you have most certaintly heard about Lovely Runner. I'd say the two biggest, most talked about k-dramas of 2024 are Queen of Tears and Lovely Runner. Literally 95% of k-drama watchers enjoyed atleast one of the two, if not both. Lovely Runner is going to become a name that everyone learns about, a drama that's going to be recommended to newbies. a drama that won't be forgotten for a long time.
Lovely Runner managed to pull many watchers out of their k-drama slumps, it managed to pull new people into k-dramas and it's probably the biggest loss for Netflix. People just can't get enough of Lovely Runner because each episode was beautifully crafted. We just need more. I hope writers and directors are taking notes..
Of course, there's going to be some people that don't like Lovely Runner and that's perfectly fine. I don't get why the community is hating towards these people? People have opinions and that's okay. This drama is not a 10/10 FOR ME, still very high up at a 9.5 but the majority enjoyed this and it has gone down as an all-time fave for many. Therefore, if someone wishes
create a drama that is successful in the eyes of the MAJORITY, they should produce it to have the same effect as LR. That's what I'm trying to say.
Anyway, onto my ACTUAL review.
The first episode was really cute and it kept me engaged which is why I watched the next episode straight after LOL. But I will say, I got second-hand embarrassment from sol's actions SO MANY TIMES. She really went up to a random ass man (technically), hugged him when he's half-naked and told him she loves him.
Also I don't get why people are dragging KHY for her looks, she's drop dead gorg?
I really enjoyed episodes 10-16, the comedy was PERFECT and I had a constant smile on my face. It was cliche yes but it was perfectly placed so it wasn't cringe, but funny.
Also I could have a whole drama of just sol and taesung. THE CHEMISTRY??? Their friendship dynamics are amazing and honestly he's a green flag.
DISLIKES (all fairly mild):
- i feel bad for taesung (SML), he really did love sol and even after everything had changed, he cared for her as a friend. it was unfortunate they didn't let him meet a nice woman in ep 16
- after time travelling multiple times, you'd think sol gets smarter, well she doesnt. she kept making stupid decisions when the obvious smart answer was right there!
i also noticed, idk if this was done on purpose as a sort of easter egg, but LR has a lot of similarities to 20th century girl. it's most likely because of BWS playing the lead role in both.
SIMILARITIES:
- female lead's family owns a movie/tape store
- female lead blames cramps to get out of class
- female lead holds item above head at school bc she's in trouble and BWS comes and takes it from her.
anyway, overall it's a 9.5 for me because it was insanely good but IDK it just didn't feel like a 10? but please, some of you need to stop harrassing others who didn't enjoy the show and STOP HATING ON KIM HYEYOONS LOOKSSSSS. she's gorgeous!! just as a reminder, this review is my opinion and you can have your own! you may hate this or really love it, it's up to you :)

I've always found it strange when they put crime and romance together, and it's quite common in dramas, but I have to say that this is one of those dramas that will live on for free in my mind.The story centres on Sol, who has suffered an accident and is unfortunately unable to walk. One day she gets a call from a radio competition saying that she's won some trainers or a bicycle. Upset that she's not wearing any of those things, she screams a lot and a voice (who were guests on the programme) from one of the members of Eclipse, a kpop band, encourages her to live.
So she became a fan of them and especially of the lead singer.
The lead singer dies years later, and she goes back in time to save him.
Sounds cliché, doesn't it?
But through all these journeys and deaths, Sol discovers many things, tries to change others and continues to live and know how to live.
The soundtrack is fantastic!!! how could I not have heard N.Flying? The whole ost is beautiful!
And Sol's grandmother? the explanation she gives for her dementia made me cry.
Sol's brother's side story is quite comical and I actually enjoyed it.
As for Taesung, he was a completely different character if he hadn't met Sol, and even though he ignored her in the past, it made him a better person. I really liked him!
I would watch this drama again and laugh like an idiot again

I can’t explain in words my how happy I am writing this review. You won’t believe me if I say that this is one of the best shows that’s ever made until you watch it for yourself. I didn’t get my hopes up when I stared watching the show but the second I finished watching episode 2 I knew that this show is going to be a great one. I WOULD SUGGEST EVERYONE TO WATCH THIS SHOW AT LEAST ONCE because I am pretty sure if you watch it once you would want to watch it again like me. Lovely Runner is my Roman Empire.
For nearly a decade, I felt like Kdramas are not as enjoyable as they once did. Maybe I've just watched too much Kdramas for my own good. However, Lovely Runner evoked those emotions again. Kim Hye Yoon did a splendid job as Sol. No other actress has made me cry and laugh like this. I don't usually like cringe stuff, but Lovely Runner has just the right amount of cuteness and serious moments. I particularly appreciate the parallelisms in every episode.I don't understand why a lot of people are leaving bad reviews. They probably watched the drama with unrealistic expectations.

Amazing Youthful Entertainer - Clean Hit of 2024
I'm a big fan of time travel dramas; I watch time travel dramas most of the time." But after watching Some Day Or One Day," the time-travel rom-com caught me on the spot to explore these dramas. But I don't get enough dramas to freeze in those cute rom-coms, except for last year's "Twinkling Watermelon.". So I waited for this drama to breakout from the time-travel slump, as well as for the cast of Kim Hye Yoo, Byeon Woo Seok, and the trend of webtoon adaptations.I watched all the episodes at once (I did not watch them when they were airing because I had exams), so I think I'm late to the party. The start is as good as I expected. The time travel aspect watch is another new element joined in the time travel mission. The synopsis tells the entire plot of the drama, so now it's up to the makers how they will keep the audience engaged with the plot, but it makes the drama watchable, like, Let's see how she will save him. Every episode is purely made as a youthful entertainer, especially the chemistry of the main leads, Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok, which makes the drama even more beautiful. The scene settings are impressive, and the use of the element "If the time traveler talks about the future or about the time travel, then the time will stop and no one in the past could hear anything from the time traveler '' made the plot engaging, but it will disappear suddenly from the drama. No love triangle; it has one but is not a complete one. The construction of a drama without a love triangle in a teenage love story is really something that we could appreciate from the from the director and writer because they focused on one story progression rather than love triangle points. With that unnecessary love triangle, sometimes the story progression is ruined. Emotional character development is pretty good. Kim Hye Yoon from funny lovable to emotional caring. Byeon Woo Seok a student with dreams to protective lovable. Song Geon Hee is a free-bird student and an understanding friend. The comedy plot is really a good entertainment aspect, and the execution of the comedy is also reasonable according to the story; there are no unnecessary side tracks, especially the comedy scenes of Kim Won Hae, Jung Young Joo, Seo Hye Won, and Song Ji, which will make the drama more enjoyable.
My only disappointment :-
This is not a thriller—time-travel—but they attempted a plot twist in the thriller zone by using a mysterious man (a killer), but the execution of that point is weak for me. If they try to give it some valuable scope and make it interesting, then the output is even better than this. Put the villain character only in boundary to show his face and drive a van or car. The director and writer got the friendship element to create a friendly environment around the male lead, but the protection point of the main lead was overshadowed. I agree; drama had the friendship moments between the main lead and his friends, but that's not enough for me. Even though it was a short time, it was good (male-led friendship).
ACTORS :-
One of the biggest elements of this drama's success is the chemistry between the main leads and the short girl tall guy troop. It was a classic troop in Kdrama Land, and we are missing it. So in the correct time this drama dropped their weapon, short girl tall guy love, it quickly gained the attention of every kdrama lover (also plot). Their acting is simply charismatic. Kim Hye Yoon I've been watching her dramas since "Extraordinary You," and she explored different genres, from dark to lovable, in every character she did an extraordinary performance. And in this drama, she really made me cry and laugh again, but this time more. She gave life to the Im Sol character; her superb emotional acting and ability to make you cry in funny scenes also contributed to her character development. The first half is totally funny, and the second totally emotional—multit character portrayal in a single-layer character—which is what made her one of the best actors in the upcoming generation.
Byeon Woo Seok, although this is my first main work of him, did great as Ryu Seon Jae. He caught me on the spot with his acting and I am now going to check out all his works (movies and dramas). And the supporting characters of Seo Hye Won, veteran actor Kim Won Hae, Jung Young Joo, Song Ji Ho, and Song Geon Hee gave complete decent acting performances in their respective character roles. They will make us laugh. Feel pain and emotion. What I found interesting is that, except for veteran actors Kim Won Hee, Jung Young Joo, and Seo Hye Won, no other supporting actors had a known face. Yet, this drama was a big success with them.
Writing - Direction - Screenplay - Sound Track Departments :-
Since it's an adaptation, the writer Lee Shi Eun's splendid script works very well. Attractive dialogues, lovely lines between the main leads, and hilarious conversations between supporting characters shine in every scene. Director Yoon Jung Ho, this is what made me excited because his previous masterpiece "Flower of Evil" is one of my favorite dramas, so I'm really excited to watch his other work, which is a Rom-com. He did pretty well his job as director. Every scene is stunningly beautiful, and no wonder I got thriller vibes with the killer plot in this drama. The scene settings are absolutely amazing, and his bold move for casting with limited big supporting actors and Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon is really appreciated. The screenplay in this typical drama is a really important aspect, to give the detailed drama structure from going in time backwards and forwards. There is not a lot of scope for the screenplay in this drama, but it is pretty good when it comes. One of the strongest pieces is the melodramatic sound track; it was amazing and fresh from the start to the end.
I would like to recommend this drama to every kdrama fan.

THE SHINING STAR OF 2024
So far TVN dramas in 2024 have been serving, but I can definitely say, with complete certainty, that nothing has fed me as well as Lovely Runner.Story
The story is about a young woman, Sol, who was in an accident as a teenager. She suffered through a lot of depression following her paralysis, making her suicidal. In a radio phone conversation, the male lead, SunJae, helps her remember her will to live, and she is so grateful to him that she becomes his avid fan. Fifteen years go by and Sun Jae is also suffering heavy depression. After meeting briefly, news comes out that he committed suicide. Heartbroken, she goes back in time to when they were both 19 and decides to save SunJae. At the time, they both attended the same highschool, and SunJae was an athlete. She starts interacting with him more, unlike in the original timeline, and it is discovered that all this time, Sun Jae had a crush on her. The story progresses, Sol going back in forth to the past and the future, discovering what changes she was able to make to the timeline and dealing with her past self. We watch Sol and SunJae act as teenagers, and cringe with them in their many many embarrassing moments. When they're in college, we watch them have so many cute and heartfluttering moments together. As adults, we get to watch them have steamy scenes.
The story perfectly represents love, whether it is the young puppy love of children, to the mature, selfless love of adults. It gives us yearning and adoration. It distinguishes between the love of a fan and admirer from the love of a man/woman. It takes us through so many tropes - fan and idol, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, strangers meeting, one sided love, love at first sight, idiots in love, bromance, love triangle (very brief) high school romance, college romance, adult romance...
There is a good balance of humor and heaviness. While there are a lot of sad moments, I never really found myself crying because there is levity and it is countered well with heartwarming moments or humorous moments.
Acting
Kim Hye Yoon, Im Sol, and Byeon Woo Seok, Ryu Sun Jae, have amazing chemistry. I'd kept up with KHY since Sky Castle, having been one of the few who loved her character, and watch most of everything that she'd put out since then, or else seen clips of it. I'm always impressed by her acting and the range of characters she played. BWS is new for me, as he is for many others. I'd of course seen him in other shows, but I'd never paid him any real attention, and I guess that has to do with the fact that he played next to some really big celebrities at the time, like Park Bo Gum. He gained a lot of attention for his previous works now that his lead role is out, and having gone back to watch them, I can definitely say that he does a very good job. I do believe he completely carried Strong Woman Nam Soon.
In this show, the two acted exactly how I would expect them to act. They were cringey teens, they were foolish young adults, they were mature adults. They acted goofy, cute, serious, in love... I got all the emotions from them.
Most of my enjoyment from the show was watching them act so unserious all the time. And the behind the scenes footage was everything.
The supporting cast did amazing as well. I was invested in all the plot lines and I loved the bromance, friendship and family that the show gave us.
Music
Who knew BWS could sing? well now everyone does as his song for the show is topping. And N.Flying's Lee Seung Hyub is amazing as well! all the OSTs are so good and catchy.

I don't really know what else I can say about this show. It's really on the top of the list as far as great shows go, and is the star of 2024. Highly highly recommended. I will definitely be watching it again.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this drama. Although it is emotionally intense, I was captivated by the main artist's performance. I felt a strong emotional connection to Sol's character, who truly touched my heart. I've seen many time-travel-based dramas, and while they often depict characters struggling to change the future, this one stood out. It showed that by destroying the cause of a ruined future, the future itself could be altered. What made this drama unique was how the story evolved with each correction of the timeline. best k-drama of 2024
Lovely Runner is honestly the best K-drama of 2024, at least in my opinion. I loved each and every single episode and the chemistry between Kim Hye Yoon )KHY) and Byeon Woo Seok (BWS) was ON FIRE. Other than the main leads and their superb acting, the supporting characters acted well and the OSTs were fantastic. Here's a breakdown of the ratings for each part of the drama:Story:
Im Sol is a fangirl who is disabled and during her toughest times, her Idol Ryu Sun Jae gives her the motivation to live. However, one day her idol dies and she has 3 chances to save her idol by traveling to the past. During this time, she finds herself falling in love with him. However, twists and turns cause obstacles between them. The story was amazing! The writer combined mystery, comedy, and romance very well. I LOVE time travel dramas when they are done well, and this one was one of those!
Cast/Acting:
The main leads' acting was everything! I've only watched 2-3 dramas of Kim Hye Yoon but I can't imagine any actress playing Im Sol other than Hye Yoon. I loved her character in Extraordinary You which was another fantasy drama, and her character here reminds me of Dan Oh too, but she portrayed Im Sol's character amazingly and brought her character to life.
Byeon Woo Seok did a great job in playing Ryu Sun Jae, who's a loser boy in love in all the timelines LOL. Additionally, his versatile acting from 20th Century Girl to Strong Girl Nam Soon, in this drama, he played different characters and portrayed all of them well.
Kim Tae Sung, played by Song Geon Hee, is one of my favorite second leads. he's one of those characters where I wished he didn't get the main girl but he gets his happy ending. Initially, I didn't like his character but he grew on me later and in the college timeline and the present timeline, he became one of my favorite characters ever. he's one of my favorite second leads because he respected Im Sol's boundaries and never made her uncomfortable, which is a HUGE GREEN FLAG. I loved that!
Music:
The OSTs were a 10 out of 10! The OSTs make the drama more memorable but one fact I loved was that Byeon Woo Seok himself sang some of the songs and one of my favorites was Sudden Shower! Here is a list of some of my favorite songs in the drama:

I've rewatched episode 8 a LOT, especially that scene (iykyk hahah) because of their incredible chemistry!!! I've also rewatched up to episode 13 while waiting for the other episodes and I'll definitely rewatch this drama if I need something to watch. I'd definitely rewatch it as I feel like I'd find many details that I had missed out on before. overall, I'd PAY to watch Lovely Runner for the first time again ?
Overall:
This was one of the best dramas of 2024 if not the BEST. It deserves the high ratings it's receiving and even higher ratings, especially on MDL. Lovely Runner was everything to me, and I wanted to share my review because I completely enjoyed every episode, and the acting and OSTs to the story were OUTSTANDING!
