A KDRAMA WHICH DESERVED ALL THE HYPE! Best drama of 2024!
Its been while since I've watched a rom com kdrama which is so hyped and after finishing it, I HAVE TO SAY-- "This drama deserved all the hype." NO, in fact, it deserves way more recognition than it received. Half way through the drama after watching ep 8 i had rated this drama 10/10. I had decided that if the writer gave us an unambiguous, happy ending with lots of Soljae fluff, I wud rate this my top 1 fav kdrama of all times and thankfully the writers n directors didn't disappoint us.Time travel has always been my favorite trope but a lot of them have ambiguous confusing endings where the entire thing turns out to be a dream or something most of the time. (I hate that.. Srsly!!) Lovely runner gave us time travel, romance, comedy, high school, crime, etc. -so many genres all in one and they executed all of these so beautifully capturing their audience's attention throughout the 2 months of its airing.
To be honest, i hadn't really watched any drama of either of the leads n i just started watching this bcz i didn't want to miss a time travel drama -being my fav genre n all... and I am so, so glad i didn't miss it.
They gave us LOSER SUNJAE n CRAZY SOL who were made for each other. One of the many things i liked about it was how they executed the part where Sunjae remembers everything. Especially thankful for the fact that they didn't just make it the last scene and BAM! end- but gave us ample Soljae scenes after that. The whole memory thing was carefully spanned over 2 eps n not just a sudden thing with no explanation. All these scenes were so beautifully filmed..
For the past 2 months, we all cried when Sol n Sunjae cried, we were happy with them when they finally defied their so called fate and got together.??
Thank u Taesung for being such a supportive friend to Sol-ah , n rival to Sunjae ofc in any timeline. Thank u Baek Inhyuk, for helping your loser friend in his confessions (?).
As Sol's grandma says- Memories can be forgotten, but the soul always remembers." Even if they didn't remember each other, their friendship/rivalry remained.

The OSTs ?made me feel as if i was falling in love myself while hearing them especially - Sudden shower, like a dream, spring snow.
I'll definitely miss my days where i waited for this.... no more waiting for preview, theories, pre releases or next week for new eps.
Anyone else debating whether to watch it or not-> PLZ,PLZ,PLZ,PLZ GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I confess that I became interested in this drama by reading the synopsis which, in short, talks about a fan who obtains the power to go back in time to try to save her favorite idol right after he supposedly committed suicide in 2023. To try to save him , Sol goes back to 2008 where she was still a student and Sunjae, the idol she admired so much, was also still a student. There are MANY plots (breaking expectations) that make you fall in love with each episode and the protagonists. I would never have imagined that both would have such a deep and interconnected story. The feelings they both feel are transmitted in such a pure and human way that it is impossible not to be moved. I cried in almost every scene (I consider myself very sensitive). So far, for me, Lovely Runner has become the best drama of 2024 in my opinion, Byeon Woo-seok (Sunjae) and Kim Hye-yoon (Im Sol) gave a show of chemistry, comfort and emotion in each scene they starred in together . I recommend it a thousand times and a thousand more if possible, it was wonderful to watch every second of this masterpiece episode ☔?Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
My favourite drama yet in 2024
Lovely Runner stole my heart! The writing was near perfect – no filler episodes, unnecessary misunderstandings, or dull moments. The humor was spot-on, and the romantic scenes, especially the ending, struck the perfect balance – neither too over-the-top nor underwhelming.The characters were beautifully crafted, each playing a vital role in the story's richness. The parallel narratives were woven flawlessly, leaving no plot holes behind.
Goodbye, enjoyable Monday and Tuesday nights. I'll miss you!

I love this drama like Seonjae loves Sol
Sorry for my English. Lovely Runner is the best drama I have seen so far this year, each episode made me feel like I was on a roller coaster, sometimes I laughed, other times I cried. The best thing is that each chapter left me wanting to see more, it didn't become tedious or boring as it usually happens in other dramas that I already finished in the last chapters out of obligation. But it didn't happen to me with this drama. What's more, I feel empty now that it's over. The chemistry, the acting, the script, the ost everything was perfectly executed. That's why this drama deserves all the love it's receiving, I don't think it's overrated when it didn't have adequate promotion from the beginning. One of the most well-rounded and enjoyable watches EVER
I considered writing a well thought out review for like a total of five minutes, but I can't. So, allow me to just yap.This drama had very quickly made it obvious to me that it would become my all time favourite. There are so many core reasons as to why, I'm not sure how to list them all. First off, the casting was splendid. I wouldn't change a single thing. The acting was impeccable. The emotions were so real. I adored that this drama started out with a focus on high school life, giving me that cute high school romance that I love so much. The fantasy undertones were the root, yet they did not take away from the sweetness of their youth. There were so many times when I genuinely forgot that this was a story of Im Sol going back and forth. It feels like she lived so many lives and we got to witness so much of it. I am also so glad that it wasn't a situation in which Sun jae's feelings were hidden for an unnecessary amount of time. You know how sometimes it'll be that the female lead likes the male lead and then you find out later that he liked her all along, but they tell you rather than showing you? I loved that this drama showed us his perspective so early on. There may have been some back and forth with him and Im Sol about their feelings, but we knew. However, I believe the miscommunication was just the right amount. It wasn't like they were going crazy trying to hide their feelings... Even in the last few episodes as Im Sol tried to stay away, it was obvious that Sun jae was just ignoring her completely because he could see through her efforts.
I loved seeing their youth, it just gave me butterflies the whole time. I'm glad we spent time in the past, seeing them all build bonds and grow together. Everyone's story was touched on well, we got see how In Hyuk, Tae sung, Sun jae, and Im Sol had come together as well.
Tae Sung became a very beloved character and somehow one of the most sensible of them all. I appreciate how his intellect was something present even in his youth and he learned how to better channel it as he grew older.
Sun Jae was just a green flag all around. I have so much to say but my mind can't pinpoint a single thing. He was great.
All in all, this drama really touched my heart. It truly was about making sacrifices and learning to sometimes be selfish and give yourself a happy ending. I think the saddest part was knowing that even though Sun Jae and Im Sol have their memories, those experiences that all the characters shared in the past are no longer part of their timeline. It's unfortunate to know that in some ways, they missed out on a very pretty life filled with sweet moments. That's why episode 13 was definitely the saddest for me.
Anyways, this was a 10/10 kdrama with amazing romance, beautiful moments of the past, and really makes you appreciate the privilege of time.

Needless to say one of the most clean and refreshing drama of 2024!
I highly recommend this show. The filming, acting, osts, plot lines are all tied so well together making it extremely interesting to watch. You may think it is a simple time travel story like all the other dramas with a similar plot, but there are actually many hidden details and twists that make the story much more engaging and interesting.The drama focuses more on romance and comedy but also has a bit of crime. The one thing im most grateful for is that the writer did not over emphasise the crime portion but instead naturally incorporated it into the plot twists and character developments.
The writing was good and the plot is easy to follow, the comedy scenes are quite funny as well. All the actors did a wonderful job bringing their characters to life. Her best friend and her brother were so funny to watch.
Hyeyoon's acting was insane, she had to cry almost every episode but the way she could immediately go from tearing to bawling wowww. I loved her character as well!
Wooseok was really good as well he was head over heels for her and his expressions while acting were so good.
Their chemistry really showed 2 dynamics, innocent romance when they were in high school and college and a more mature relationship when they became working adults.
Really good watch and i'm glad this drama managed to go on air after being kept away for 3 years :(

Absolutely Love
Let me start off by saying that I do not like time travel dramas. They typically confuse me, and my "too realistic" brain can't often process how these things work.Somehow, the time travel of Lovely Runner just works. The storyline is cute, heartwarming, and just overall enjoyable to watch. You'll go through a roller coaster of emotions, but none of it will be regrettable. The cast all did a superb job of capturing the essence of their characters, and the amazing reception that this drama received is full evidence of that. There were many "conspiracy" theories about various elements of the plot on Reddit, but honestly, a completely enjoyable read without needing to get into all that. A definite must watch!

QUE DELIIIIIIIIIIIIICIA! fazia muito tempo que eu não maratonava um drama como fiz com esse! Assisti tudo em apenas 4 dias o que pra mim é incrível já que demoro 2 meses normalmente para terminar um. Adorei, adorei e adorei muito a história e como ela foi contada, sempre fico receosa de assistir coisas sobre viagem no tempo porque é muito fácil deixar buracos e um storytelling confuso pro público, mas não é o caso de Lovely Runner. Mesmo com o futuro trocando umas 3 vezes, tudo encaixou muito bem e foi super coerente com os acontecimentos passados. É um dorama com uma linguagem meio bobinha e bem melosa típica de dramas adolescentes ~~ inclusive, minha primeira critica é pras inúmeras cenas da Sol caindo e o Sungjae segurando ela... acho que o diretor não foi muito criativo nessa hora ~~, porém o plot deixava tudo muito mais interessante e com um toque de "preciso saber o que vai acontecer". Apenas o último episódio eu não curti muito, e aqui vai minha segunda critica: Por que o Taesung não ficou com ninguém?! A Sincere, heartwarming experience
Look past the obvious pitfall of a story like that - the time slipping, which is the key to the story and it will be a very very very enjoyable experience.I started the series with no expectations whatsoever, having not read the webtoon it is based on or read any reviews. What started as a tentative dip of toes into this series ended up with a binge watch AND a rewatch immediately.
The story starts with a super fan who was saved from suicide by an idol and how she travels back through time to save him from his death. In the process of trying to save him, she discovers alot of forgotten memories and feelings and learns how he was/is a person who has always been in her life. The result of their realizations is an innocent love that transcends time and space. Its a simple yet very compelling narrative.
The soundtrack sung by the actor himself (as a member of the idol group he is part of in the show) is great. Kim Hye Yoon was amazing - yes she cries in every episode but each tear conveys a different emotion and she is the reason why this series works, she makes Byeon Woo Seok look so good, and now they are both on my radar.
In conclusion - this is one of the best series i have watched so far and is highly recommended.

BEST K DRAMA 2024
I loved everything about this drama, the actors, the music, the side characters. The last episode was perfection, that's how a rom-com should end, full of lovely moments and focused on the leads relationship. I will re-watch it for sure. The chemistry was there, I laughed and cried, not a lot of dramas will make me laugh, but this one did. I can't stop writing about this drama if I start.. I have watched a lot of dramas. But this one hits different. I just fell in love with everyone specially Hyeyoon. What an acting girlllll.. She slayed every scenes. The crying scenes made me cry along with her.. A drama with no toxic friend or ex or second lead. Byeon Woo Seok is always my favourite.. I first noticed him in 20th Century Girl and later in Strong Girl Nam Soon. He did great in both of them. And in this one, he is the greanest forest ever?... I decide to watch this drama out of curiousity, but turned out to be my top list favorite drama..Like Sol and Sunjae, I feel like meeting this drama are like destiny. It is surprisingly give me wonderful impact.
Story,
This drama have such a beautiful and unique story which I can't find in K-Drama land nowadays. Time traveling with so many things that make it more beautiful. The story was easy to follow and light-hearted, but it's make me both cry or laugh so hard. Respect to production team especially writer-nim. Thank you for making such a beautiful story for us.
Acting/Casting,
Byeon Wooseok, I can't believe I spend my whole life missing this talented artist. His acting skill, how he potrayed his character, his gesture, his effort to bring the character alive, all about him bring me undescribable feeling. It is such a blessing I get to know you Byeon Wooseok. He shows that effort and hardwork will never betrayed us. Thank you Wooseok for bringing Sunjae alive for us so perfectly.
Also I want to shout out for Kim Hyeyeon for all of her work for this drama. She is such a talented actrees until I believe that Im Sol is made just for her. I can't imagine other Im Sol besides her. Wooseok and Hyeyeon really made such a great chemistry that can spread their impact around the world.
I can proudly say myself as a fan for any person who act in this drama. All of the actors doing really great job. I didn't skip any moment and scene cause all of them are incredibly enjoyable.
Music,
I love all of the soundtrack. From Eclipse's songs, and other ost. Each song really suit the mood of each scene. Beside that, sometimes the soundtrack seem trivial and production team just unbothered and put the song carelessly. This drama really an exceptuon. The music departement really doing a great effort to match the mood both of the scene and the song itself. And they chose the singer of their soundtrack perfectly.
I can proudly say that if Eclipse really debut, I will be a hard fan. All of the soundtrack already being a permanent resident on my daily playlist.
And my favorite is Sudden Shower or 소나기 of course. This song along with A Day from ATEEZ's Jongho Never failed to make me cry.
p.s, if any production team read this, please bring Eclipse to music show, their live perfornance really blown me away. I need their performance video!

I will proudly put this for my number 1 on my top favorite drama. I plan to rewatched it for sometime, maybe for some months until I'm ready to move on from this beautiful masterpiece.
Overall I can say that such a blessing get to know this drama, the story, the character, the actor, the soundtrack, and other aspec to. This is my most perfect drama that really suit my preference!
