Healthy but underwhelming
There's a delicate balance between "healthy relationship" and "interesting" that very few dramas get right, and I think this show fell into that trap as well. While I enjoyed how the misunderstandings didn't last long and that the leads talked to each other a lot, ultimately I felt like it made the story underwhelming. Big decisions like getting married or moving in didn't really have the needed weight to it, making me feel like I had missed something, and when the leads got together it didn't quite feel earned. The same applies to the second leads, who were pretty cookie cutter.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Short, sweet, romantic!
A good in-between serious shows series, I liked the FL a lot in When I fly towards you, so I decided to watch this series. It was a short series of 14 episodes, and I binge watched it in one day. There isn’t much to the story, introvert boy has a crush on his high school desk mate, meets her again after 10 years, the girl being oblivious to his feelings all this time. They decide to be some a fake couple due to the FL being under pressure from her parents to marry, while it suits the ML perfectly, and he cares for the FL a lot, but they eventually separate because of misunderstandings and entry of love rivals on both sides. Soon after, they decide to get married after meeting on a blind date with each other. The FL has developed feelings for the ML by now but neither of them admit to having fallen for the other. Finally when the FL finds out about the ML’s long standing love for her, they are happy and sweetly in love. We also have our second leads who are best friends of the ML and the FL, their relationship was fun too, but I found myself fast forwarding some of their parts. If you are looking for a proper story with romance as a background, this series isn’t for you, but if you feel you want to watch a light hearted romance which isn’t too mushy, go for it.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Light, fluffy, no angst
What I liked:1) Fewer episodes.
2) Shorter episodes.
3) ML and FL were beautiful to watch and oh, so cute together.
4) FL wasn't an idiot
5) Okay kisses (see below)
6) I smiled a lot while watching this
7) Flashbacks weren't overdone
8) Second couple wasn't too annoying
9) Potential triangles were resolved quickly
10) Voices were okay
11) I love when the ML falls first, and I'm a sucker for the destiny trope
12) Cute flashback that explained their whole past relationship. However, see #6 below.
Not so much:
1) What was with the editing? There seemed to be a big chunk missing, and suddenly they were married!
2) The potential triangle (both male and female) felt like add-ins and didn't bring anything to the story.
3) More time spent on the 2nd couple than the mains!
4) Some bad attempts at kisses. Their mouths weren't even in the same vicinity.
5) Even with the shorter duration of the show, it felt like there was time wasted. I'm usually disappointed in the editing (or lack thereof) in Chinese shows.
6) Lack of dramatic reveal of feelings. It's like they kept them all bottled up throughout the show and then just had a brief conversation about being in love. Lots of emotion missing from the scene.
7) Wasn't feeling chemistry between the mains.
All in all, it was a cute, easy show to watch.

all the cliches in 1 drama
It's such a good one to watch when you don't know what to watch. It's simple but also has such good moments that make you kick your feet. The cast is incredible, some scenes were a bit fake but I think that's because they wanted to do it fast. It's a 30min per episode and it only, so some scenes/plots seem a bit rushed. As the review title says: it has all the cliches you could imagine and they did it in a good way.
(spoiler here)
Loved the way he thought about her opinion and feelings about having a child of their own. That's not something usually shown and I really like it.

Cute for what it is
I found this drama from edits online, which were just the cutest so I was excited to watch it. And it definitely delivered on the chemistry of the main leads. Of course the trope of high school classmates/first loves meeting again is over done, but they made it fun to watch. Even their fake/contract relationship came about okay.Just from watching the show you can see they didn’t have a big budget, but that shouldn’t hinder from writing a good story. It felt like all the scenes was just to move the plot forward without much substance. It felt choppy and rushed. Even them suddenly getting married without ever really dating and didn’t even properly date AFTER they got married felt so weird. The actors definitely had the chemistry to make some magic from a badly paced script. The ending does make me forget the bad parts, that kid actor was so so loveable! + love the greenest flag but naughty scheming ML.
Hope we get to see the main leads in a better written drama in the future.

Simple Sweet Short..
1. Its a drama about how two high schoolmates meet again years later and fell in love with each other.2. But what FL does'nt is that she is the ML's longtime crush.
3. Starts on a sweet note and continues to be sweeter...
4. Although there is little misunderstanding in middle, it does'nt lasts 1-2 episodes.( includes some separation )
5. There is a character who also loves FL but does'nt create much problems and lasts only 3 episodes.
6. Now we have our sweetest and cute couple ( SML and SFL ), who starts with disliking eachother and falling for eachother deeply.
7. Their journey is quite comedic with some bickering movements and sweet with their real caring for eachother.
8. I like drama when it has 'a start to a complete' kind of feel. Although it's a small drama it manages to tick the boxes.
9. If you want a short, fluffy and light hearted romcom , then this is for you.
10. Must worth a try when you feel a sweet drama.

A good plot wasted.
Honestly, I am disappointed. The plot was the winning recipe : contractual relationship - first love combo, but I feel like they wasted it. The story seems to have missing parts and at some moments leaves you wondering what happened : did you miss something? or is the show just badly produced ?
Some main events just don't make sense and seem to be happening out of nowhere.
Even if they're quite funny, the chemistry between the two leads isn't the best. The female lead sometimes feels awkward and, if she's smart sometimes she just is so dumb too.
I like romantic cdramas because they know how to use the codes of the genre well, even if they don't innove, it's always entertaining.
Not this time. It wasn't bad but I feel like the job wasn't done.
Of course, there's still some good points :
#the plot : like I said, a classic.
#the humour : it's quite funny...
#the actors

Some sweetness for rainy days
PLOT: The ML, a brilliant student, then manager of a company, has been in love with the FL since high school. The FL is a producer, warm and cheerful, but despairs of getting married (repeated failed blind dates). By mistake, she posts a photo that pushes everyone to believe that he is her BF. They make a "fake relationship contract", she live with him, ... and sparks soon appear.PROS:
+ A great ML: Zhang Jiong Min, and a beautiful, natural chemistry in the CL.
+ All the characters are nice (a bit "teddy bear")
+ simple story, without villain
+ A realistic storyline
CONS:
- a bit childish character.
- very classic plot.
=> Pleasant, nice and sweet series, even if "nothing new under the sun"
*******************************************************

This started out so cute. The FL is adorable! However, for such a short drama, they wasted so much time. They skipped all the cute things one would expect to see in a fake relationship. They introduced random other characters for jealousy but it fell flat because nothing was really happening. The main couple got together in such an uninteresting way... I wanted to watch it because of a clip I saw where FL hugs the ML while drunk in front of their colleagues... that remained the cutest part of the drama unfortunately. Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Uncomplicated comfort drama
This was a sweet comfort drama, with quite simple, straightforward story about love that was meant to be.Casting was good - the main couple didn’t have the strongest chemistry, but they were quite sweet together in some scenes.
Second ML was good, and second FL was ok.
As for the story, it is quite uncomplicated and simple as mentioned. There are of course some twists in the story where you might expect more to happen than it actually does.
Conclusion: Easy to watch, leaves you with a good feeling.

Very cute story
I almost overlooked this story because the trailer didn’t catch my attention much but this turned out to be a really cute love story. The Good
I really appreciated the mature and calm nature of the main leads throughout their story since contract relationships are a common trope in CDramas. What made this one stand out was the fact that all the couples just rolled with the relationships and didn’t make things awkward. They each accepted their feelings. The relationships built up naturally and more realistic and did not contain too many of the tropes. I absolutely adored the ending and loved that they gave us closure to their love story. Fairly decent acting, nice OST and decent production for a modern drama.
The Bad
Still constrained the usual misunderstandings and unnecessary love triangles. With the limited amount of episodes, I’m glad they didn’t drag them out longer than necessary. I also wished there was just a little more romance but for what we got it was fairly good.

"The Best Day of My Life", consisting of 14 episodes, each 30 minutes long, is a sweet, small, light, and cute romantic drama. Although a few middle episodes were boring, the ending was perfect. Some viewers might find the story cliché because there is nothing new in it. High school love stories like this have been made many times before. The plot revolves around a boy who has had a miserable life since childhood and a girl who becomes a bright light in his dark world. Because he is unable to express his feelings, she never realizes that he likes her, and they end up being separated for many years. When he returns, he still struggles to express his feelings, making it difficult for him to propose to her .This journey of how he proposes and how their story begins is shown in the drama.I like the male lead . I liked second leads' love story .
