Swords of Legends (2014)

Both the same type of chinese historical sci-fiction wuxia drama involving swords.

This is the prequel. It's not directly related, but based on the same video game. Both dramas have swords that suck people's swords.

* Both dramas are Xianxia dramas.
* Ma Tian Yu is the cast of two dramas. He successfully portrays two completely different characters in two dramas.

Of course there's magic in our amazing ancient world. That love that is so hard so hard. Colorful indeed!! Cute characters on adventures!!

The movie has the same main leads and they kiss in the movie!!! Also there is a lovely cosplay moment when you can see them and as Qing Xue and Tu Su
And is happy ending for my ship

Although sword of legends is in Chinese, both dramas have the same historical/fantasy setting and the two leads and stories are similar in many ways.

Chan William is in it as the supporter. The plot is similar where the main character have evil aura that could cause uncontrollable destruction. Both male character must be able to control the evil within them.

They both are detective role plays and both super powers. You might like The Four because it doesn't have a tragic ending like Swords of Legend did.

Both of these wuxia dramas have a main male character with stigmatized powers and familial ties that place them in difficult situations. Both leads are raised by merciful strangers who gently refuse to teach them special fighting abilities. Due to tumultuous times and unforseen circumstances these leads must master their inherited powers and defeat the evil hordes.

Both are Xianxia dramas and Ma Tianyu played in both dramas.

It is also a video game to live-action fantasy wuxia drama with CG monsters and sword effects.

both are about a sword that can destroy the world depending on the person that wields it. only someone chosen by the sword can wield it.

The bad guy in The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion, Xu Ping, reminds me of the bad guy in Swords fo Legends, Ou Yang Shou Gong.
