Fourever in my heart!
I loved this series so much. It was almost perfect. The pacing and editing was a bit hard to take at times, especially if you had the wrong expectations going into it. I watched it from day one and at times it was torture. Johan and North were really the shinning light of the series. I loved Hill and East too, but Jo and North were something else. I've been waiting for a good show that Bas was in and this was definitely it. Maxky came out of nowhere for me. I had never remembered him in anything I'd seen before, so he was new to me. It was a crazy experience, but I loved every minute of it. I hope Maxky and Bas continue to work together, if they want to. The BL powers that be would be crazy to let that ship go to waste. Truly lightning in a bottle.I wish it was more consistent throughout and the dialog was almost there, but they reused a lot of lines. Those were some missed opportunities imo. However, it was only a handful of times I ever remember a couple outright saying how attracted they were to their partner. In most series it feels like they shy away from that for some reason. North even tells his mom was a handsome bf he's got lol. I love North's character so much.
I really hope they make a second season and include JohanNorth and HillTer. The whole cast is really great.
It's a drama about love lost and love reignited mixed together with the present and the past. It's only about 2 of the 4 novels. Hopefully we will be seeing the other 2 couples in season 2.
Honestly, this drama is probably an 8 or 9, but it made me feel like a 10. What a fun trip and well worth watching. See y'all for the next one.

what to expect while watching the serie. the review may contain spolier.
this is my first time reviewing a BL serie.for the first few episodes, it may feel draggy and boring but I think it's just because it is a novel adaptation and the screen writer did not do a phenomenal job transcripting it into the serie. Ter and Hill story line is not the best but it's watchable because the actors are doing a great job. After passing through those starting few episodes, I found myself captivated by all the characters and the story line of johan and North. The actors are verry good and their chemistry is unstoppable. I strongly recommend this because few Bl this days have actually good acting and a decent story line without all the s*x scenes to make them watchable. If you are looking for a good Bl that will make you escape your reality please go ahead and watch. This is a nice show.

A very boring series
The casting of the series is a 10 out 10. However, this is the only positive thing I can say. The series is primarily focused on the actors, and the storyline is nothing but filler for most episodes. It becomes tedious and repetitive, with a recurring theme of “I love you, but I can’t date you or be your boyfriend” for some inexplicable reason. The explanations provided are filled with holes, making it hard to follow.I’m amazed that they managed to squeeze 17 episodes out of such a lackluster storyline. I couldn’t help but wonder if the book itself was even worth reading. There was a scene involving Ter’s character, who was whining in a phone call because Hill had gone missing. He said, “I’m not going to let you buy me snacks and such.” I was like give me a break. He was throwing a temper tantrum like an eight-year-old.
Finally, North and Jo are acting as if the world is ending because he had to go on a trip to Boston. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. I understand that BL is supposed to be cute, but much of this series felt like it was made for a 13-year-old girl or something. It made me wonder what the difference is between the regular version and the uncut version. Is it just longer scenes?
I have low expectations for the second series with the other two couples

Incredible save by actors
How a mediocre college BL story can be lifted by great casting and superb acting. This BL is an absolute gem. The casting of the couples (Pond & Earth and Maxky & Bas mainly) is so good that you almost forget the thin and basic story. Boy meets boy, boy falls in love with boy, boy can't be with boy but keeps thinking about him until they meet again and both fall in love. It's as old as time. But when this story is played out by couples with this level of chemistry and the atmosphere is this crackling with electricity, it's like magic happens. I will put this one one my re-watch list and eagerly wait for next season.

A Wee Bit of Craic and a Whole Lotta Heart
Fourever You is a Thai BL series that juggles themes of love, loss, and second chances through the intertwining lives of its central characters, Easter, Hill, North, and Johan. Adapted from two of four novels by Howlsairy, the series is directed by New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul and Ko Nantalit Tampacha, offering a blend of romance, drama, and comedic moments. At its heart, the series explores two contrasting love stories. Easter, seeking a fresh start, finds himself face-to-face with his ex, Hill, at university—a reunion he wasn't ready for. Their story of rekindling or closure runs parallel to the unlikely bond between North and Johan. North's debt-turned-relationship with Johan adds charm and humor to the narrative, particularly due to the captivating chemistry between Bas Hatsanat Piniwat and Maxky Ratchata Pichetshote.
+ What Worked
1. North and Johan’s Storyline: The standout arc of the series. Bas and Maxky's chemistry is lightning in a bottle, elevating their romantic journey and providing depth to the show.
2. Strong Performances: While Pond Ponlawit (Hill) and Earth Katsamonnat (Easter) bring emotional weight to their roles, Johan and North steal the spotlight with their playful yet heartfelt relationship.
3. Friendship Dynamics: The camaraderie between the supporting cast, including Typhoon and Dao-Tok, feels genuine and adds warmth. The interactions among the medical students provide humor and balance.
4.Engaging Writing: Once past the initial slow pacing, the storytelling pulls you in, particularly Johan and North’s evolving relationship.
+ Room for Improvement
1. Hill and Easter’s Arc: Their storyline occasionally feels scattered and lacks the emotional cohesion seen in Johan and North’s.
2. Pacing and Editing: The early episodes can drag, which might test your patience before the series hits its stride.
Subtitles: The subtitles could use a polish to better convey the dialogue, as they sometimes miss the nuances of the original script.
+ Why It’s Worth Watching
Fourever You isn’t groundbreaking, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s light, sweet, and occasionally fluffy—offering an enjoyable escape. For BL fans seeking a series with heartfelt acting and an engaging narrative, this delivers. Johan and North’s story is a highlight, balancing humor and romance beautifully, while Hill and Easter’s second-chance dynamic adds emotional depth.
While not perfect, the series knows its audience. It skips gratuitous scenes and focuses on well-written relationships, making it refreshing in the BL landscape. The prospect of a second season, potentially featuring the other two novels, is exciting.
+ Final Verdict
While Fourever You may feel like an 8 or 9, it leaves you with the joy of a 10. It’s a testament to how a well-executed BL can charm its way into your heart. If you’re looking for something entertaining, heartfelt, and easy to watch, give this series a go.

This series might have been rated higher if it was based solely off the Johan North storyline. I had so many issues with the first couple. From the actors to the storyline to the script. Wasn't sure if was the character design or the actor but the character Easter just wasn't all that likeable. The acting felt very unnatural, a lot of strange face-pulling, exaggerated sighing, dramatic whining, yup nope. And the character Hill was so one-dimensional, and because I've seen the actor's other work, it's hard to believe that it was poor acting. The chemistry between the two felt extremely scripted and awkward. This is cliche done poorly. yawns...As for the second couple, they had a more interesting backstory, more natural dialogue, amazing chemistry and their script had a good mix of humour, drama and fluff. North grew on me over the course of his story and I was pleasantly surprised by the acting cos i had originally thought he was designed to be the "clown" and expected his acting to be over-the-top and cringey. This pair created so many heart fluttering moments with a good old enemies to lovers storyline, add on an interesting power imbalance with the debtor-creditor situation and a tsundere proud faced rich boy with a secret long term crush for a sassy, clueless, happy-go-lucky loser who has a ridiculous fear for ghosts and you've got me hooked. My two favourite scenes from this pair were when they reunited after Johan was a away for a few weeks, and when they were sitting next to each other in silence but in complete bliss during a basketball practice. This is cliche done right.
If you're looking for a fluffy series with a good tsundere rich boy-clueless poor dork dynamic I suggest skipping to the parts with Johan North i.e. episode 6 onward.

Phenomenal. Totally rewatchable.
Earth played “Ter” - an adolescent, but adorable character. Earth’s movements & affections totally sold the character as young. He did a superb job as to be expected. I look forward to a switch up of character types for Earth (like Ja & First in various series) because I know he’s a great actor who can do it!Pond played “Hill” - a silent but so in love character. Pond had his work cut out for him since he was often in a mask conveying emotion with just his eyes. He performed admirably.
The Ter/Hill storyline was a bit cliché with Ter’s “I hate him but actually I love him.” And it was just a communication misunderstanding. The trauma from grandpa backstory for Hill was not explained nor resolved satisfactorily for me. Hill had an unnamed “issue” that was alluded too. Personally, I think it’s akin to Stockholm Syndrome because he was fundamentally held hostage in his own home for years and was the focus of his grandfather’s rage. Also, what were these “old ways” that they kept talking about? And where were Hill’s parents? Why weren’t they protecting him from his grandfather?
Now onto my favourite characters & storyline..
Maxky played “Johan” - a chic and cold on the outside but warm and loving on the inside character. Maxky’s visuals were incredible and suited this character so well. He took direction really well and nailed this character to perfection.
Bas played “North” - a chill, no-nonsense guy. I’ve never seen Bas’s work before and I am really impressed. Though his look was of a tousle-haired youth, he brought a grown man’s vibe with his posture and walk in many of the scenes. While youthful in some scenes, the man vibe was refreshing and made their love story feel more real. The direction given to Bas made his scenes so much better. I really liked what Bas put into the North character. It was an absolute pleasure to watch.
The Johan/North love story was fabulous. Johan crushing for all those years. The lovely little things he did secretly for North all those years just to make him smile/happy. Johan taking life more seriously after hearing North’s conversation with his friend. We learned why Johan now always carries cash — after paying for that duck plushy with his very expensive watch. You could really see the love Johan had for North. Also, Johan’s kisses looked amazing. Maxky did a fantastic job. North figuring out his feelings felt real. And once he did, it was like he said “straightforward and uncomplicated” in showing/saying how he felt about Johan. North being so supportive and accepting of the ‘real’ Johan was heartwarming. Their dynamic was incredible.
I hope Maxky and Bas get to work together again. Their chemistry is fire. I also feel their bodies match really well.
The OST was unobtrusive which is great in my books.
I highly recommend watching this series.
