Chocolietta (2015)

Don't expect this movie to be a lighthearted story about two students in school. This movie that has a simple premise that really explores how much it can hurt someone with the loss of a loved one. The FL loses her mother and her pet dog which causes her to have extreme depression and to believe that she herself is not human. She wants to believe that she isn't like the rest of the "trashy" world. She meets a senior and makes a film with him and together they both grow to find reasons to live. This is a sweet, raw, real, and painful story of two innocent young people who grew up in a bad way.
