I LOVED Baek Rok (JDH) ^_^ <3 He was so loyal - even when it hurt him, he fought to protect the people he loved and was bound by a promise made to the king. I liked Jung Yeon - but she somehow got stupid towards the end which disappointed me, I loved her relationship with Baek Rok. I hated Baek Kyul - I don't care if his brother and JY still liked him - in my eyes he was an ASS big time!
Music: I loved the ost!!! 2 songs in particular ^_^ pt.1 & pt. 2 of the ost
I might re-watch this sometime in the future - if only to see the ruggedly handsome Jo Dong Hyeok again <3 He truly was a wild man in this drama!

Story: reminded me of " slave hunters \ Chuno " to some extent. I loved it, and engaged in events without any boredom , beside the young king who does not know how to distract things the nation , and his minister , who is trying to be commanding and forbidding , the minister and his followers who believe in Confucianism , and we can look at it like communism and democracy at this moment - Modern and Contemporary History -
Characters & Acting : Characters also done a good job , I liked the fight scenes that is different from the other fight scenes in historical drama, because it was HD\3D , this seemed to be realistic and to be honest I liked the fight scenes so much unlike the fight scenes I've seen in most previous historical series , which puts the viewer in the form of an asshole for being fake!
The OST: also reminded me of song from " slave hunters \ Chuno ", it is somewhat similar to the song of the end of this drama!!!
If you like historical drama, then you should give this one a try!!!!

What the hell was I thinking!?
Probably the producers were exited after watching Spartacus blood and sand success so without taking their time they just made up a half-baked story, regrettably, unlike the simple story of the american counterpart drama, they tried to stuff it with huge political conspiracies forgetting It’s only a 12 episodes show… in many parts they just jumped from one situation to another without any sense of continuity. Characters would make unconvincing decisions just to introduce some kind of twist, resulting boring if not enraging most of the time. Furthermore, the music wasn’t fit neither for the fighting scenes nor the sad moments…
Don’t watch this drama if you value your memories of Soldier or Spartacus.

Дорама с рейтингом 19, я то подумала что будут слайды... обнаженочка, но так пару раз оголились - и то массовка, хотя мужики рассекали в драных штанах поголовно, и только в драных штанах. А рейтинг то у нас по кровище, или даже не так - по КРОВИЩЕЕЕЕЕ. Оооо, её было много и рубили тут со вкусом, брызги прям ..ух..опа... монитор протирать.
но в целом нормально, песенка печальная тоже хороша, и главный герой хорош.

Rough!
It's a really rough watch. Primitive post production VFX with cheap cuts especially the blood spatters, the absolute horrors! It has to be cheaper if they opted for practical effects. If they were really on a tight budget then abandoning the post production VFX would have been the right move instead of making the drama looking cheap from the get go. Speaking of which, what on earth was that opening theme with thunder and water splashes effects. Real physical pain. The script, story, dialogue and writing in general was nothing but comical. Park Won Sang was the only highlight for me just for being there.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
