Iconic Moments In Beloved KDramas

As Kdrama addicts, and whether we are talking about old or new dramas, in our minds will always stay these iconic scenes that marked some dramas in our memories forever. Scenes that made our replay buttons cry for help!  Needless to say that some of these iconic moments were the main reason we watched a drama at the first place. Just thinking how many times that happened : )

Well, where to start? Hundreds of scenes are jumping in my mind right now and all of them are unique in their own way! This will be hard!

Ok... I will be biased then and mention MY iconic scenes (Mostly from melodramas).

Autumn Tale (2000)

As many, I suffered the most critical 2nd "Lead Syndrome" with Han Tae Suk (Won Bin) in the classic beloved drama (Autumn Tale - 2000). Although he - and the whole drama cast in fact - did a spectacular job in this drama (come on! it has been 15 Years now and viewers still have it on Top of their Lists! ). The memorable beach scene between Han Tae Suk & Choi Eun Suh (Song Hye Kyo) would stand alone sparkling with perfection on the top of my memory. A scene where a man is soo deep in LOVE and in OWE with his woman that he doesn’t care anymore even if she rejects him. His only wish is for her to let him stay by her side helping her to survive and fighting death, although he will never be her choice. The acting, the music, and the eye contact in this scene can stand alone as a reason to watch this drama if you still haven’t...

It's Okay, That's Love (2014)

Deep Breath! Pheww… a 2nd Deep breath! This scene is a challenge... How long can you control your tears against this of kind acting? Jo In SungGong Hyo Jin had stirred our hearts with pure pleasure in this hit drama with every scene and dialog. But for me, this scene was beyond enjoyable. Through the episodes, we got accustomed to the confident, charming, sarcastic, and witty Jang Jae Yeol. Then we got to meet the hidden scared child inside him, a child who is so in love with this woman and a woman who embraces her man in his most weak moments. I was able to hold my tears till I heard him say “I want to make you Laugh. But I don’t know how.”

Secret (2013)

Yes Guys! You can  watch and replay and replay and replay this scene to your satisfaction and then stop after the 10th time to discover that you still want to replay it again.

It’s Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum's lovable "Back Hug" scene in Secret. Hwang Jung Eum was waiting at a bus stop back home after crying while confessing her feelings for Min Hyuk at the grave of his dead girlfriend. With so little words being said (to the extent that drove me personally half crazy), in the end, those had been replaced with the sweetest back hug you can ever see in a Korean drama. For me, this scene is the eye candy of this super show.

Thank You (2007)

This drama is a combination of iconic scenes put together! This is how good it actually is. Side note: if you haven’t seen this yet or it's pending on your drama list, go open your laptop and close your door for the next 16 Hours. No regrets guarantee!

This was my first acquaintance with Jang Hyuk before he becomes my favorite Korean actor of all time. Keep in mind that I've made this decision after only 10 minutes of Thank You.The car scene shows Young Shin (Gong Hyo Jin) collapsing after spending the day on streets searching for her missing child, and Min Ki Seo praying to his dead girlfriend, to save this women since she couldn’t save her child years ago. Hugging her closely and desperately, while wishing something could be done. This heartwarming scene in one of many in this drama. However, the music and the emotion reflecting in Jang Hyuk's eyes deserve a loud wowowow and the FULL mark of the iconic scene.

Cain and Abel (2009)

Get ready to hear about the best iconic Bromance scene you've ever seen or will see. The brothers' relationship remained the jewel of this drama despite their undying rivalry. So Ji Sub  and  Shin Hyun Joon! Oppas I just Love you... Yes, Both! When you see the hospital rooftop scene , brothers meeting after years of separation , you would never think that these two can be rivals one day. The only thing you can do is simply laugh, cry, and sigh with delight watching their chemistry unfold.
