When the Phone Rings starring Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin postponed twice in December
The next 2 PM and Girls Generation to pair up on K-dramas will be Ok Taec Yeon and Seo Hyun.
On November 28, KBS announced the official cast lineup of the upcoming K-drama Taking the Male Lead's First Night.
Ok Taec Yeon, Seo Hyun, Kwon Han Sol, Seo Bum June, and Ji Hye Won will lead the upcoming K-drama.
Taking the Male Lead's First Night will tell the story of male and female protagonists unexpectedly possessed into the roles of minor characters in a novel. Following a shared intimacy, a passionate romantic relationship develops between the leads. The K-drama is a fantasy romance set in the Joseon Dynasty. The story will be depicted from the web novel/webtoon of the same name by Hwang Do Tol.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next collaboration work of director Lee Woong Hee and writer Jeon Seon Young.
Taking the Male Lead's First Night will premiere on KBS in 2025.
Ok Taec Yeon will portray Yi Beon. He is a member of a royal family, and the King favors him. He is not only good-looking but also skilled in martial arts.
Seo Hyun will portray the role of Cha Sun Chaek. She is a supporting character with no significant role in the novel but she also came from a family with both status and power. Her dream of a peaceful life is disrupted when the soul of a college student, "K," suddenly enters her body, leading to an unexpected night with the male lead.
Kwon Han Sol will be Jo Eun Ae in the series. She is the official female lead in the novel. She is an adopted daughter of a rich merchant. In the novel, she is supposed to be with Yi Beon and have a romance story but her life will change after Cha Sun Chaek's role changes.
Seo Bum June will be the second male lead named Jung Soo Kyum. He also came from a noble family and he is the only friend of Yi Beon.
Lastly, Ji Hye Won will portray the role of Do Hwa Sun. She aims to marry Yi Beon and join the royal family.
