Actress Kim Bo Ra to tie the knot with "The Grotesque Mansion" director

Actress Kim Bo Ra announced that she is getting married.

On March 5, Kim Bo Ra's agency noon Company shared to media outlet HeraldPOP, "Actress Kim Bo Ra will tie the know with director Jo Ba Reun this June." 

Kim Bo Ra and director Jo Ba Reun first worked together in the 2021 movie The Grotesque Mansion. Kim Bo Ra was the main lead of the film alongside Sung Joon, Kim Hong Pa, Lee Chang Hoon,  Girls Day's Park So Jin, Lee Kwan Mok, and more. Kim Bo Ra and director Jo Ba Reun became close as actors and directors and they eventually developed romantic feelings. The film will have its sequel titled The Grotesque Train and it will be led by Golden Child's Choi Bo Min, Joo Hyun Young, and Jeon Bae Soo. It will premiere within the year.

Director Jo Ba Reun started his career in 2020 through the film Gang. He was responsible for directing and writing the script of the movie. In 2021, he directed three works such as Slate, The Grotesque Mansion, and 2021 Summer Drama Collage: Monster Mansion. 

Meanwhile, Kim Bo Ra made her acting debut in 2005 as a child actress. She started her career by appearing in the K-drama Wedding led by Jang Na Ra, Ryu Shi Won, Myung Se Bin, Lee Hyun Woo, Na Young Hee, and Kang Suk Woo.

Since then, she has starred in various K-dramas and films with different genres. 

Kim Bo Ra is known for being part of the K-dramas Jungle Fish 2, Scent of a Woman, Bel Ami, Who Are You: School 2015, Avengers Social Club, SKY Castle, Her Private Life, Touch, Love Scene Number, and more. 

She was last seen in the 2023 K-drama Like Flowers in Sand. Kim Bo Ra is also set to star in the upcoming K-drama Death to Snow White with Byun Yo Han, Go Jun, Go Bo Gyeol, Bae Jong Ok, and Kwon Hae Hyo. 

Kim Bo Ra was born in 1995 while director Jo Ba Reun was born in 1989. They are seven years apart.
