"Doctor Cha Jung Sook" starring Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul will premiere this October!

The upcoming JTBC drama "Doctor Cha Jung Sook" will officially premiere this October!

On August 9th, media outlet YTN shared that "Doctor Cha Jung Sook" with main leads Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul will air its first episode in October. 

"Doctor Cha Jung Sook" will revolve around a story of a married couple who are in the medical field. The woman is a medical graduate that turned housewife. After some time, she decided to return to the medical field. Meanwhile, the husband lives as a doctor with a perfect dual life. He excels at his job but he is also an expert in cheating on his wife. After the wife, Cha Jung Sook decided to return to the medical field and begin her residency, she will have to work alongside the chief surgeon, her husband, a fellow resident which is her son, and the senior resident which is her daughter-in-law. 

Uhm Jung Hwa will play the role of Cha Jung Sook, she is a resident of family medicine but became a full-time housewife after marrying. 

Kim Byung Chan on the other hand will play the role of Seo In Ho, the husband of Cha Jung Sook. He is doing well as a doctor. He is a perfectionist at home and can't stand any flaws that will damage his dignity. He has strong self-love.

"Doctor Cha Jung Sook" will exclusively premiere on JTBC. There are no other details yet on the supporting casts of the drama.

This will be the second drama of Uhm Jung Hwa for the year. She kicked off 2022 with the series "Our Blues." The singer-actress will also appear in the upcoming movie "Beautiful Woman." 

Meanwhile, this will be the return of Kim Byung Chul to JTBC after "Sisyphus: The Myth." The actor started the year by being a supporting role in the global hit Netflix original series "All of Us Are Dead."
