Jung Hae In to reportedly lead the new romantic comedy K-drama by "Hometown Cha Cha Cha" creators

Another romantic comedy K-drama has been offered to Jung Hae In!

According to media outlet OSEN on November 3, Jung Hae In received the offer to lead a new tvN K-drama that the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha production team will create. 

It was also revealed that Jung Hae In politely declined the other romantic comedy K-drama that was first offered to him. 

Jung Hae In's side responded to the casting news. According to FNC Entertainment, "Jung Hae In did receive the offer to star in the new tvN K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son. The actor is currently reviewing the offer."

Reports also stated that among all the offered projects to Jung Hae In, the upcoming K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son is the most preferred one.

If Jung Hae In confirms his casting, this will be his first time to lead a romantic comedy genre. 

Jung Hae In was last seen in the Netflix original series D.P. Season 2 with Koo Kyo Hwan, Kim Sung Kyun, Son Suk Ku, Kim Ji Hyun, and Ji Jin Hee. 

The actor will also be active in the film scene with the upcoming movie Veteran 2 with Hwang Jung Min, Oh Dal Soo, Jang Yoon Ju, Oh Dae Hwan, and Kim Shi Hoo.

Before Jung Hae In goes back to acting, he will first meet with his global fans through his fan meeting tour to celebrate his 10th-anniversary debut. The fan meeting will conclude in Seoul this December. 

Mom’s Friend’s Son will be the next work of director Yoo Je Won (Crash Course in Romance) and writer Shin Ha Eun (The Crowned Clown). This will be their reunion work after three years since Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.

According to reports, Mom’s Friend’s Son is scheduled to begin filming in the first half of 2024. The premiere of the K-drama will be in the same year and it will exclusively air on tvN.

There is no information yet on which actress will possibly work alongside Jung Hae In in the upcoming K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son.
