On January 1, media outlets reported that Leonardo DiCaprio will be making a special cameo appearance in the new season of Squid Game. According to reports, the Hollywood actor filmed secretly for his brief appearance. Reports also stated that Leonardo DiCaprio decided to make a cameo appearance because he is a fan of the series.
With this, Netflix has stepped up and denied the circulation of news. According to the streaming platform, Leonardo DiCaprio's appearance in Squid Game Season 3 is a baseless rumor. They also reiterated that the reports are completely false.
Earlier today, Netflix released a new poster confirming that Squid Game Season 3 will premiere in 2025. The teaser poster showcased Young Hee, the main girl of the Red Light, Green Light game, and a new robot character named Cheol Su, who was introduced through the post-credits scene of Squid Game Season 2.
According to reports, the new season of Squid Game will begin airing in the summer of 2025.
The recently released Squid Game Season 2 depicted the return of Seong Gi Hun (portrayed by Lee Jung Jae) to the game, motivated by a desire to end the game. The Frontman (portrayed by Lee Byung Hun) facilitated his return, inviting him to participate in the deadly game again. In the final scene of the second season, Seong Gi Hun was seen surrendering to the Frontman. Season 3 will explore what happens after their failed attempt to rebel against the game and what lies ahead.
