Park Joo Hyun takes lead in the upcoming movie "Drive"
On June 8th, film distribution company MerryChristmas Inc. shared that Park Joo Hyun will star in the upcoming action thriller movie "Drive."
Directed by Park Dong Hee, "Drive" will tell the story of a famous video streamer who was locked inside a trunk of a racing car that is driving at a full speed. Park Joo Hyun will play the role of Han Yu Na, a streamer who live broadcasts the whole process of her desperate escape from the trunk of the car.
Other cast members include Kim Yeo Jin, Kim Do Yoon, and Jung Woong In. The production began filming last June 1st.
Park Joo Hyun debuted in 2019 through the movie "The Dude In Me." She became known after appearing in the 2020 drama "A Piece of Your Mind" with Chae Soo Bin and Jung Hae In. She got her first ever leading role in the 2020 Netflix's original series "Extracurricular." She was also part of the drama "Zombie Detective" with Choi Jin Hyuk. Park Joo Hyun last starred in the 2021 tvN drama "Mouse" with Lee Seung Gi, Lee Hee Joon, Kyung Soo Jin, Woo Ji Hyun, and Ahn Jae Wook.
Aside from the upcoming film "Drive," Park Joo Hyun will also join the cast of upcoming star-studded films namely "Operation Seoul National University" with Yoo Ah In, Ong Seong Wu, Go Kyung Pyo, and Kim Sung Kyun, and "Silence" with main leads Lee Sun Kyun, Joo Ji Hoon, Kim Hee Won, and more.
Many are already anticipating how Park Joo Hyun, the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards' Rookie of the Year Awardee, will portray her new role in the movie "Drive."
