The Fiery Priest 2 introduces new characters while retaining familiar faces
Park Seo Joon opened up about his childhood and experiences of bullying on singer Sung Si Kyung's YouTube channel.
Sung Si Kyung uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, where he shared his thoughts and compliments with Park Seo Joon after watching the drama Gyeongseong Creature.
Talking about the response from the international viewers, Park Seo Joon said, "It did well overseas." He added, "At first, Netflix Japan said they wouldn't take it, but they ended up having to because of the actors. The actors are quite popular in Japan, so the young people there were really surprised."
In the same video, Park Seo Joon opened up about his childhood, stating, "When I was young, I was really timid and shy. When I was a child, I was almost triple introverted. I couldn't even order in a restaurant because I was so embarrassed."
He continued, "I hated that personality so much when I was in my third year of middle school. I felt so stupid because I couldn't speak up anywhere."
When Sung Si Kyung asked Park Seo Joon, "[Even back then,] you must have had good looks and been tall, so you probably weren't bullied or unpopular among your friends, right?"
"I was bullied a lot when I was young. I was bullied in elementary school. I was naturally one of the quiet ones in middle school, too."
Sung sympathized with Park Seo Joon, revealing he too was bullied during his school years. "There are a lot of controversies over bullying these days. I think it's my first time saying this. It was hell for me from 1st grade to 4th grade. The bullies would say, 'Stay after class.' I'm not the type to hit people or like fighting. And looking back, I'm glad that I didn't hit anyone. I remember exactly how hellish that was."
Park Seo Joon said, "I think it ultimately comes down to self-esteem and confidence. Back then, I was a kid who thought, 'I'm nothing special,' and my confidence was quite low. However, I gained confidence after I started acting and was able to talk a little bit. It was the first time in my life that I experienced something I wanted to do, so I worked really hard."
