JYJ's Park Yoo Chun is reportedly the main lead for the upcoming independent film "Devoted To Evil" .
On February 18, media outlet OSEN reported that Park Yoo Chun will be the male lead for the upcoming 100 minute film titled "Devoted To Evil".
According to film officials, Park Yoo Chun is currently in the middle of scenario reading. Filming for "Devoted To Evil" will start on February 22 and the shooting will most likely be done for a month.
This will be Park Yoo Chun's official return to acting after seven years. He last appeared in the SBS drama "The Girl Who Sees Scents" with Shin Se Kyung and Nam Goong Min. Although he's also part of the 2017 movie "Lucid Dream", he only had a small role and air time in the said film.
In 2019, Park Yoo Chun retired from the industry after the results of his drug tests came positive. He was charged with injecting Philopon and received a probation sentence. His agency C-JES Entertainment also terminated his contract. In 2020, The idol-actor opened new social media accounts, held fan meetings and even released an album. This year, it seems like Park Yoo Chun is also ready to return to acting with the upcoming film.
Park Yoo Chun is known for being an idol from the group TVXQ and JYJ. He was also active as an actor and got praises for his skills with dramas such as "Sungkyunkwan Scandal", "Rooftop Prince", "Missing You", and the last hit drama he starred in, "The Girl Who Sees Scents".
Although the idol-actor is gradually doing celebrity activities again, he will not be able to appear on any MBC shows. MBC included him in the list of people who are suspended to appear on their tv network in 2019.
