Actor Ryu Kyung Soo is in talks to join Park Bo Young and GOT7's Park Jin Young's upcoming K-drama Unknown Seoul.
On October 8, a media source shared that actor Ryu Kyung Soo will be added to the main cast of the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama Unknown Seoul. In the last week of September, there were reports that Park Bo Young and Park Jin Young would lead the series. The two are currently reviewing the casting offer.
If Ryu Kyung Soo accepts the offer to star in Unknown Seoul, this will be his first official K-drama for 2025. This year, the actor appeared in the Netflix original series The Bequeathed with Kim Hyun Joo, Park Hee Soon, Park Byung Eun, Park Sung Hoon, and Hyun Bong Sik. He also made a cameo appearance in the rom-com K-drama Wedding Impossible.
He will also star in the upcoming movies Hit Hit Hit and Homeward Bound.
Ryu Kyung Soo is known for being part of the K-dramas Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Glitch, Hellbound, Lovestruck in the City, Itaewon Class, and more.
Unknown Seoul will tell the story of twin sisters who live separately. One of the twins who studies hard is in Seoul while the other is in the countryside. One day, the two decided to exchange identities because of an incident.
Director Park Shin Woo (It's Okay to Not Be Okay, and Hyde, Jekyll, Me) and writer Lee Kang (Youth of May) will join forces to create the much anticipated K-drama.
Ryu Kyung Soo got the offer to portray the role of Han Se Jin. He was a hedge fund CIO but eventually came back and returned to become a farm owner.
If Ryu Kyung Soo confirms his casting, this will be his reunion with director Park Shin Woo. The two worked together in the K-drama Lovestruck in the City.
Unknown Seoul will reportedly begin filming at the end of 2024. The airing date is scheduled for 2025.
