Song Kang Ho and Park Jeong Min's new sports film One Win confirms its premiere month.
On October 21, The first poster for the upcoming sports movie One Win was revealed. Through this, it was also confirmed that the movie will be available in Korean theaters in December of 2024. Last January 2023, it had a world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
One Win tells the story of a struggling professional women's volleyball team and a winless coach who will handle them as they strive for their first-ever victory. They will also work together with the team's owner who doesn't have any will to succeed.
The first poster for the movie shows the main lead Song Kang Ho smiling with the "One Win" logo behind him. The poster also shows volleyball players on the court seemingly in action. The words "Let's win just once" suggest that the team's focus is on achieving a single win, not necessarily becoming champions.
The upcoming film will be led by Song Kang Ho, Park Jeong Min, Lee Joo Young, Lee Min Ji, Jang Yoon Ju, Park Myung Hoon, and more.
It will be the next work of director Shin Yeon Shick who is known for also creating the works Cobweb, Uncle Samsik, Cassiopeia, and more.
One Win will hit Korean theaters before the year ends.
Song Kang Ho will portray the role of Kim Woo Jin in the upcoming movie. He is a volleyball coach who is famous for always failing. Whenever he coaches, the team gets ruined.
Park Jeong Min will portray the role of Kang Jung Won. He does not have any desire to win. He is an attention seeker who surprisingly pledged to give a prize of 2 billion Korean won (approximately $1.5 million) if the volleyball team wins.
Lastly, Jang Yoon Ju will give life to the character named Bang Soo Ji. She is one of the volleyball players on the team. She has spent 20 years on the bench. She will showcase good chemistry with their new coach Kim Woo Jin.
