Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon will reportedly reunite in the new romance K-drama 'My Golden Star'

Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon will possibly reunite in a new K-drama.

On January 14, media outlets reported that Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon will be the main leads of the upcoming romance K-drama My Golden Star. 

Both Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon's agencies shared their side regarding the casting news. 

Uhm Jung Hwa's agency Alien Company confirmed that the singer-actress received the offer to star in the upcoming K-drama. She is currently reviewing the offer.

According to Song Seung Heon's agency King Kong by Starship, "The romance K-drama is one of the works offered to the actor and he is currently reviewing it." 

My Golden Star will tell the story of a top young actress who got involved in an accident while she was at her peak. 25 years later, she returns to the industry with a gap in her career. 

The upcoming K-drama will be the next collaboration work of the Good Casting team, director Choi Young Hoon, and writer Park Ji Ha. 

There is no confirmation yet on the premiere date and broadcast channel of My Golden Star. 

Uhm Jung Hwa got the offer to portray the role of Im Se Ra, the top actress who rose to stardom immediately after her debut. After her accident, her life changed completely. 

Song Seung Heon received the offer to play the character named Noh Chak. He is a bachelor detective.

If Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon decide to join the K-drama, this will be their reunion project after 10 years. The two previously worked together in the 2015 romantic comedy film Wonderful Nightmare with Jung Ji Hoon, Seo Shin Ae, Kim Sang Ho, and Ra Mi Ran.
