Upcoming Netflix movie "Seoul Vibe" announces its cast line-up!
According to Netflix on June 25th, "Seoul Vibe" will be led by Yoo Ah In, Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Kyu Hyung, Park Joo Hyun, Ong Seong Wu, Kim Sung Kyun, Jung Woong In, and Moon So Ri. The upcoming film is reported to have a budget of 15 billion Korean won (~$13 million). Filming will start around July or August.
"Seoul Vibe" is a car chasing action blockbuster movie that is set around the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The story will revolve around the Supreme Team in Sanggye-dong, which was deployed to investigate VIP slush funds on the day of the opening ceremony of the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
Yoo Ah In will take on the role of Dong Wook, the strongest driver of the Sanggye-dong crew. Go Kyung Pyo will play as DJ Woo Sam, the source of the sentiment of the group. Lee Kyu Hyung will portray Bok Nam, the genius in Seoul's geography. Park Joo Hyun will be Dong Wook's younger sister named Yoon Hee. Ong Seong Wu will play the character of Jun Ki, the MacGyver in Sanggye-dong. Kim Sung Kyun will be a key role in VIP's slush fund transportation and money laundering. Jung Woong In will star as a senior prosecutor and lastly Moon So Ri will play the role of Kang, the queen in the private loan market.
The upcoming film will premiere exclusively on Netflix and will be helmed by Moon Hyun Sung ("The King’s Case Note").
"Seoul Vibe" will be added to Yoo Ah In's several upcoming movies. He is set to appear in "The Match," "High Five," and "Jeon, Ran." He will also lead the new Netflix series titled "Hellbound" with Park Jung Min, Kim Hyun Joo, Won Jin Ah, and more.
