Winner's Kim Jin Woo will be part of the upcoming K-drama "Pure Boxer."
On January 10, Kim Jin Woo's agency YG Entertainment confirmed that the Winner member will join the upcoming K-drama "Pure Boxer." According to the agency, Kim Jin Woo will portray the role of Han Jae Min.
"Pure Boxer" is a KBS new series that will be directed by Hong Eun Mi and Choi Sang Yeol, and written by Kim Min Joo.
The upcoming sports K-drama will base its story on the novel "Pure Boxer Lee Kwon Sook" by Choo Jong Nam. It will depict the story of a cold-blooded sports agent who uses the athletes to make money in a short period before they officially get burned out.
"Pure Boxer" will be led by Lee Sang Yeob, Kim So Hye, and Park Ji Hwan.
Kim Jin Woo will play the role of Han Jae Min, the first love of the genius boxer named Lee Kwon Sook. He is a face genius who is popular and he is also the vice president of the kindergarten.
The Winner member shared his thoughts about participating in the series, "It's a pleasure to be part of the series 'Pure Boxer.' I will do my best to show you a good performance through the new series."
This will be the first official broadcast K-drama of Kim Jin Woo. He started his acting career in 2016 through the web series "Magic Cell Phone." He also appeared in the k-dramas "Love for a Thousand More" and "Part-Time Idol."
Aside from "Pure Boxer," Kim Jin Woo will also join the upcoming k-drama "Delivery Man" with Yoon Chan Young, Girls Day's Bang Min Ah, Kim Min Seok, Kim Seung Soo, and Moon Hee Kyung.
