Coming of Age/Youth

This is by far one of the best C drama I've seen for a long time! It's surprisingly very balanced throughout the time. When it needs to be light hearted, it's super funny but when it needs to be heavy, it's heartbreaking?. But it never feels out of the place. Life is unpredictable, so is this drama. You never know what to expect. This drama is 11/10 for me. If you haven't already watched it please go and check this one out! Trust me, you won't regret it! I wish I could say more but then I might enter the spoiler territory. So, I'm gonna leave it at that! Oh No! Here Comes Trouble is the best coming of age drama that has so much to offer! Hidden Love

this is a story of a girl’s first love, from her childhood to her early adulthood. sang zhi fell for her brother’s friend that she occasionally meet at home when he come to visit, falling for his gentleness towards her. at the age of 10, she felt a stirring towards him, this gege that she knows, tried her best to have more contact with him. we see her feelings for him grow, that blossoming of first love that a lot of us felt in our youth. it’s a drama that made me sigh at the preciousness of youth, of innocence and a time we can’t ever go back to again. - u/sftkitti

When I Fly Towards You

this is another drama that made me yearn to my school days. watching the friends worrying over nothing and everything brings me back to my own youth, a time where we thought we know best, where we thought that nothing is impossible if we only try. this drama mostly take place in high school, where the two leads first met in front of a shop near their neighbourhood. that one glance struck our female lead, marking the start of our story. it’s lighthearted but at the same time also tackles issues that plague the Asian society at large, how parenting that focused only on academics and comparisons between children will only create a rift in the family, that will only increase with time. so in between these lighthearted moments of the leads and their friends, we also see the dynamics in their families, that shaped the children’s upbringing and personality. - u/sftkitti

Meeting You (2020) - Nan Xi and Xia Rui are the textbook definition of opposites. He’s PAINFULLY shy and introverted, while she’s outgoing and personable. He’s the best student in school while…ummm, well, she has perfect attendance lol. But those differences work to make each of them better people. I love the dynamic between the two leads, as well as their close-knit friend group. - u/TVAddict4

Run for Young (2020) - Story of four village neighbor friends and the two new students. I lovethe friendship in this drama. I also love the parents in the village.  It is meaningful drama. Great acting and actors have nice chemistry. I also like the songs in this drama. - u/applepiehh
