With the impeccable Koreeda Hirokazu's slice-of-life signature, this drama was a breath of fresh air:
sweet, light-hearted, colourful, poetic and very soothing.
Ethereal cinematography full of warmth and simplicity, wonderful settings and lavish wardrobes, vivid characters with natural acting, and an extraordinary portrayal of the training and lifestyle of a Maiko House.
A tribute to friendship, as well as to food preparation - how powerful and comforting they can be...
Highly recommended!

Part of an anthology of sci fi stories, this short film is a sharp commentary on social discrimination but, most of all, a heartbreakingly beautiful love story - that one scene was more powerful, intimate and heart-fluttering than any romantic scene most dramas have ever given us.

A slow-paced story of friendship, love and loss, divided into too many different subplots and genres that eventually felt disconnected, inconsistent and unbalanced.
The strongest elements were the trio's performances (especially Jeon Mi Do's) and the elegant cinematography, while the weakest were the romance subplots and the unequal screen-time and story progression the three FLs had.

Sexy, spicy, kinky, as well as funny and colourful, with two lovely FLs and a great sismance.
An interesting and enjoyable adult sex comedy with many realistic and frank conversations among women, and lots of heartwarming and steamy moments.
Unfortunately, the second half was focused mainly on romance, going the easy way through the same old tropes we see in every romcom.
Overall, nothing groundbreaking but an entertaining watch.

A heavy makjang drama with a chaotic, unnecessarily complicated and outrageously unrealistic story that had very little to do with the original well-known classic novel it was based on.
Unfortunately, the great performances of the cast and the magnificent production, cinematography, colouring and directing weren't enough for the weak story to be ignored.
Overall, great visuals of a mediocre substance...

Penthouse S03 is the most convincing evidence of why kdramas should stop following the western series tradition of multi-seasons...

Strong start but got boring and a bit non-sensical somewhere in the middle...

The fact that it was based on a true story makes it touching and inspiring.

A female centered plot in an office setting, full of sismance and social commentaries about working women/moms and their struggles, challenges, sacrifices and setbacks.
Though the storytelling had some issues, especially towards the end, and some characters felt a bit one-dimensional, it was a drama worth watching for Ra Mi Ran -who was exceptionally good in this, both as an intern and as a mom, owning her character and making it very realistic and relatable- as well as her family members and their lovely bonding.

A fast-paced women-centered story about politics, money, corruption and revenge, with high dosages of friendship, justice and redemption - and a high-class makjang spice in it.
Perhaps not very original or groundbreaking, but the stellar veterans cast, the solid plot, the witty dialogues and, most of all, the powerful sismance between the protagonists made this intriguing drama a pleasure to watch.

Heartwarming, touching and inspiring!

Delicate and very emotional story of the turmoils and strong bonding of a found family.
The biggest asset of this movie is veteran actress Youn Yuh and her solid performance, full of depth and grace, as well as the fantastic cinematography, full of light, colours and breathtaking beauty of Jeju island.

More makjang and engaging than the 1st season.

A decent revenge drama, with an excellent acting, especially from Kim Hae Sook and Lee Kyung Young, both of whom delivered some strong emotional moments.
There were some plot holes, some dragging episodes, some frustrating illogical events, but overall it was interesting and entertaining.
Special kudos to Oh Dae Hwan, who delivered one of the best support police officers I've ever seen in k-dramaland: Oh Bong Sam was not dumb, not alcoholic, not violent, not 'dirty' but refreshing and cute!

Dark, raw, intense and emotionally heavy story about a student's suicide, focusing mainly on the aftermath for the people around her.
A story full of grey characters, selfishness, bullying, grief, guilt and whys - definitely not for the faint hearted. And, in spite of some plot and character portrayal cons, a compelling watch.
Jeon Yeo Bin with her stellar performance -proving her versatility as a talented actress- was undeniably the star of this movie.
