Chinese Historical & Wuxia Dramas

  • This is not ranked absolutely; it's ranked arbitrarily by my favorites (the ones at the top and at the bottom will be more accurately ranked)
  • This list has a mix of my favorites and least favorites to even out the playing field (also includes almost all of the popular/bigger dramas)
  • To prevent unrealistic expectations, I would start from the filler dramas/small production dramas and work your way up to the more complicated and detailed dramas
  • Also, there's a good number of these I only watched halfway and dropped or I skipped through 
  • There's a 50/50 chance that the dramas not on this list were either not watched by me or were so bad that I dropped them after watching one episode
  • Wuxia dramas tend to have terrible CGI (you're supposed to ignore that minor detail)
  • Harem has two meanings: the emperor's imperial harem (i.e. his concubines) and the genre (a bunch of romantic idiots throwing themselves at the lead)
