Be Reborn - While investigating an ancient painting that has been stolen, Luo Jian, who heads the criminal investigation team, crosses paths with genius university student Zhuang Wen Jie who is from a family of thieves. The unlikely pair work together to crack the case.

Broker: A commercial espionage thriller set in pharma company, with a strong FL and flawed anti Hero ML, both smart and who remain smart till the end. SLOW pace, tense and doomed atmosphere, lot of nerd staff, amazing OTS and cinematography and really good acting. Chemistry is good but don't go looking for body intimacy nor kisses.

A few minor setbacks: second couple scenes were in a comedic tone between ep 5 and 30 that take you apart of the general opressing vibe (but some like them). If you can't deal with nationalism, avoid it (for me it's normal but I know there're sensitive people about the subject), and the dialogue between different languages (I prefer this way that the awfull dubbed they do in most of the shows), foreign actors not the best lol. Give the FL some eps to evolve from her inicial characterization. - u/Patitoruani

Butterflied Lover - historical thriller that’s not a crime drama but involves a mystery about a woman with a mysterious past and her husband who tries to protect both her and the city - jasally

Fearless Blood - the bloody, gun shoot-out filled coming of age adventure of a young, brash idealist travelling from SEA to Shanghai assisted by some of the best, wisest, weirdest Masters of all time.
Pros - stylish, entertaining, veteran cast

Reset - fast paced time loop thriller where the two leads keep waking up on a bus that is about to explode. Think Loki S2 meets Speed. - u/dogdogdogdogdogdoge

Under the Skin - dark modern crime drama about a former artist who goes to work for the police and works to reinvestigate a murder that he accidentally played a part in - u/jasally

Don’t walk into Love Me If You Dare looking for a love story - the romance is strictly blink-and-you-miss-it in this tale of a criminal psychologist and his talented assistant. There IS lots and lots of murder, however, and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. - u/TVAddict4

The Knockout - a multi-decades long tale of 2 best-frenemies that choose drastically different paths through life. One rises through the criminal underworld while the other tries to catch him while dealing with police bureaucracy and corruption.
Pros - top tier characters, fantastic acting

A League of Nobleman - gothic historical mystery drama with a magical realism vibe about a poor scholar and government official who solve mysteries but aren’t always on the same side - u/jasally

The Thunder: My one and only 10/10 drama till now. It's a police antidrug thriller starring my beloved and amazing actor Wu Gang (Joy of Life) and a great cast of seasoned actors who were stunning, and of course the young faces that stands with dignity among these monsters.

It's based in a real case from 2013 in China that shook the nation to its bone. It's riveting, you can't avoid bingwatching. Has a bit of action, tears, drama, tension, frienships, family relations, love, honor, life struggles, all wonderfully intertwined. You'll be at the edge of your sit, cry, smile, enjoy, suffer...Marvellous production, cinematography and OTS. - u/Patitoruani

When A Snail Falls in Love (2016) is my only 10/10 crime drama. Starring Wang Kai and Wang Ziwen, this drama captured my attention from the very first scene. The two leads were also leads in the original Ode to Joy. Between the two dramas, they demonstrated incredible acting abilities. I don't know if anyone can find this drama anymore - it had been on both Viki and Netflix back in the day but sadly, no longer. If you can find it, watch it. - u/NotSoLarge_3574
