Revenge

1. Resurrection
Korean Drama - 2005, 24 episodes
Resurrection. Uhm Tae Woong at his very finest! This is the drama that made me an Uhm Tae Woong fan. It's the first installment of the revenge "trilogy" by director Park Chan-hong and writer Kim Ji-woo. The Devil and Shark are the following installments. They're both good as well. I favor Resurrection and The Devil a bit more than Shark, though. - u/Em-M

2. Lucifer
Korean Drama - 2007, 20 episodes
Lucifer - one of the most intricate plots I have watched unfold on the telly. Fantastic performances by all three leads, Ju Ji Joon in particular was outstanding. - u/deviantrockstar
The Devil, the production value is kinda crappy in my opinion, but the story is really good and it has a really original and touching end. - unknown

3. Shark
Korean Drama - 2013, 20 episodes
Shark was a good one for me. A lot of suspense and the connections between the characters was nice. It still had a bunch of normal k-drama plot holes but I thought it was nice. - u/berryzsaya

4. A Man's Story
Korean Drama - 2009, 20 episodes
Story of a Man (aka "The Slingshot") -The first couple of episodes are a bit difficult to get into, but once you get past them, BOOM. It's one of the best dramas I've ever seen. - u/h_friend
A Man’s Story - probably best revenge drama I’ve seen - u/zaichli

10. City Hunter
Korean Drama - 2011, 20 episodes
City Hunter - This is a crime action thriller drama with minimal romance. The ML's father and his best friend are wrongfully tried to kill in a secret mission. The best friend survives and decides to take revenge on the people who wrongfully tried to kill them. He takes the ML when he's just a new born baby and runs away, he trains him and makes him strong enough to take revenge on those people. This drama is not your usual action thriller. I know many people feel like 'oh this is yet another LMH drama and we can pass this one' but really, it's worth the watch. Surely the romance could've been done a bit better, but apart from that the action was spot on and LMH rocked the action hero role. I also quite loved how the "villains" were just random people who were power hungry and not some super powerful characters. A few plot twists were too late or too early but it was a good drama for its time. Lee Joon-Hyuk was as always amazing and I loved his character arc. Overall it's a genuine and nice drama and I personally liked it a bit better than Healer. - u/Fatooz

11. Pinocchio
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
Pinocchio - ML's father was a firefighter who was wrongfully criminalized for the deaths of other firemen that went out to save people from a major explosion that took place in a factory. Ever since then ML has a grudge against reporters and stays far away from those but turn of events lead him to become a reporter and prove to the world who should truly be a reporter. It has the revenge aspect since all along the ML's journey of being a reporter his aim was to take revenge on that one reporter because of whom his father and his family suffered the repercussions of a wrong report. One of Lee Jong-Suk and Park Shin-Hye's best works. - u/Fatooz

12. 38 Task Force
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
"Squad 38" is a story of seeking retribution and a seemingly cold hearted revenge, led by a young conman together with one public official and a group of thieves . The group sets out to destroy the ones behind his father's imprisonment and we can see his intricate plans unfold in front of us. However, you end up rooting for the young man and his friends - a bunch of really likeable and warm hearted people. The drama is fast paced and revolves around financial issues, property ownership and such with a very generous sprinkle of light hearted humor and jokes. - u/imerremi

13. Money Flower
Korean Drama - 2017, 24 episodes
Money Flower - Jang Hyuk gives an awe-inspiring performance as a character who goes incognito for a long game revenge against the chaebol family who wronged him. A truly masterful performance. Tears streamed down my face as his revenge dance unfolded and came to fruition. - u/basta_cosi

14. Pegasus Market
Korean Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
Pegasus Market - after an unfair demotion, DM co-founder vows to completely destroy its subsidiary. Unfortunately for him and unexpectedly, every single one of his schemes backfire and end up bringing more success to the company. Peak wholesome comedy! - u/Xocobo

15. Whisper
Korean Drama - 2017, 17 episodes
Whisper - It was a great revenge drama. It starred the Lee Bo Young and, both male leads were smart Alpha Males who were always one upping each other. Their antics were a joy to watch plus the Actors/Actresses behaved like Adults rather than old Teenagers. - u/Stn1217
-
16. Model Taxi
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Taxi Driver - an action thriller. Vengeance is the main theme of the drama. It follows a secret organization that avenges victims whom the law didn’t protect. It does have a case of the week format but they are based on real events. Great production values, one-shot action scenes, pumping background music makes it a must-watch. It is hilarious in part, especially where ML has to go undercover. - u/RayInRed
-
17. Vincenzo
Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes
Vincenzo - The ML and FL start taking revenge from the corrupts who are also the villains, but for what is a mystery. The drama was a good action crime thriller with minimal romance. The main characters were refreshing and the actors did full justice with their roles. The acting, plot, cinematography, soundtrack and pretty much everything was on point. There were a few things that I didn't enjoy but it was an entertaining watch. I wouldn't say its "the best drama" but yeah it was definitely something different. - u/Fatooz

18. Remember: War of the Son
Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
Remember : War of the Son - When a chaebol's son rapes and kills a young girl, Seo Jin Woo's father, who suffers from Alzheimer's, is wrongfully accused of the murder and put on death row. Jin Woo, who himself suffers from hyperthymesia, becomes a lawyer, determined to exact revenge of the real culprits and free his father's name. Remember is tragic and painful to watch, with a villain who makes your blood boil at every step, but also satisfying, as Jin Woo slowly wages war against a chaebol and his son who are practically immune to the law and think they can get away with anything because of their money. - u/TotoroTheGreat

19. Prosecutor Princess
Korean Drama - 2010, 16 episodes
Prosecutor Princess (2010) is a rom-com featuring a long game revenge take down. The super naive FL with a questionable fashion sense and fun silly shoes (the lovely Kim So Yeon) falls in step with the solicitous spiky-haired ML with a penchant for chest-baring t-shirts (the talented Park Shi Hoo). A handsome prosecutor with soulful eyes (Han Jung Soo) kicks butt as our sweet princess prosecutor attempts to earn her chops. All the while, her dad barks and her mom quivers. The supporting cast of drama regulars includes Lee Jong-suk, making his drama debut as a legal assistant. - u/basta_cosi
