Shows I've watched in 2020 ♥
Any kind of drama that i've watched in 2020 with possible commentary.
release year doesn't matter.
Shows will most likely be compared to the ones I've watched before on this list, just so I can compare the shows better

1. Put Your Head on My Shoulder
Chinese Drama - 2019, 24 episodes
A very cute and light-hearted show to watch. I was somewhat annoyed by the 'second-lead' at first but it got better and the way our main CP's relationship developed was really adorable to watch. Also fan of the fact that the ML wasn't as cold as you would expect him to be

2. Lucky's First Love
Chinese Drama - 2019, 24 episodes
A little more heavy (towards the end of the show) than PYHOMS but still really nice to watch when you want a light-hearted rom-com. They do focus more on their work relationship at first and honestly, after two possible other romance interest I was losing hope that they would actually get together but hey - watching it all was absolutely worth it. The ML is a bit colder compared to PYHOMS but still sweet, like they say in the show, cold exterior but with a warm heart. I also loved that the FL liked to get her shit together by herself and in my opinion she had a very good personality.

3. The Ten Deadly Sins
Chinese Drama - 2016, 21 episodes
Full review is available on the page of the show itself.
Compared to "Love Me If You Dare" (my all-time favourite Chinese crime series) it's not that great but if you see it on itself it's pretty okay. The plot is something that could've been so much more but I've accepted that it became like this - the ending was worse than plot as a whole though. Characters are interesting and it's nice if you want to watch something more serious.

4. Go Go Squid!
Chinese Drama - 2019, 41 episodes
I have to admit: I skipped a lot. 41 episodes is something I can handle but this contained a lot of game focussed minutes and quite a few repeated flashbacks that I just caught myself skipping. BUT what I did watch, I absolutely loved. The way their relationship developed was really nice to watch and I caught myself smiling, clapping and crying while watching it. Would definitely recommend it if you can handle some skipping.
(note; I do prefer the novel but that's not something new)

5. Tra Barb See Chompoo
Thai Drama - 2018, 24 episodes
the first lakorn I've actually liked since watching two seasons of U-Prince a loooong time ago. Wanted to slap both the ML and FL at times when I couldn't really understand their choices but damn, their chemistry and visuals really made up for it.
It has some topics that could be easy to dislike for some but I really liked it! Their relationship and dynamics had to change quite a few times, adjusting to whatever piece of information they found at that moment but I can't deny it, I loved every second of it.

6. Skate Into Love
Chinese Drama - 2020, 40 episodes
This was something like love O2O to me, and considering I absolutely loved that, this holds a special place in my heart too. There were parts that were too sports focussed or too focussed on the side couples that made me skip, but I was absolutely in love with the main couple.
A really enjoyable watch.

7. Go Ahead
Chinese Drama - 2020, 46 episodes
The show that got me out of my watching block. I hadn't watched in a long time, let me tell you, but this got me right out of it and gave me hope again. It really focusses on how valuable family is, and that family isn't only confirmed by sharing the same blood. And at the same time, it does zoom in on how family hurts each other, how miscommunication creates the biggest messes and how one has to compromise. And really, I loved watching them grow up. The female lead had her annoying moments, but I really love how mature she became. Definitely would recommend and rewatch

8. Maiden Holmes
Chinese Drama - 2020, 32 episodes
While I adored this drama, I had to skip a lot. The whole "acting as a man" didn't really do it for me, but once she got rid of that part and the ML started to know more and more about her, it got better. The side couple was nice, but I couldn't feel myself get actually invested in them. The cases coud've held my attention, but for some reason it just didn't stand out to me. Like the drama was okay, great to curl up when you don't watch something too complicated, but it isn't in my top picks. Also, I'm glad the kissing got better. One of the few historical drama's that actually got passionate kissing, once the actors got more comfortable with each other.

9. Love is Sweet
Chinese Drama - 2020, 36 episodes
Absolutely. Loved. This. Might be a serious rival for love o2o when it comes to my favourite romance shows ever. The business aspect and the romance part were really well balanced! The chemestry between the main leads make me ache for another show with them. I absolutely ship them and /oh my god/ the kissing scenes. The second couple didn't really do it for me, sadly, but that's mostly because they were used for the humor that was a bit awkward for me. I loved the second male lead, he acted really well. I'm surprised how good it ended for everyone.
