Favorite Dramas
My favorite dramas without an especific order (except for Kill Me Heal Me, this one is number one).
-
1. Kill Me, Heal Me
Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
This is actually the only drama I gave a straight 10. Seriously, I didn't only like it, I was emotionally invested in it. And, in my opinion, that's what makes a drama great. When, despite all it's flaws, you like it and is seriously emotionally invested.

2. Autumn's Concerto
Taiwanese Drama - 2009, 21 episodes
I'm not a person who likes the whole "rich jerk and poor plucky girl" kind of story. Also, amnesia plots usually is a turn off. However, it's like I always say "the story can be a cliché, but if it's well done, then it can be a good story'. And this drama is the embodiment of my belief.

3. Angry Mom
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
This one was actually a surprise for me. At first I thought it would be one thing, but then it turned out to be another. And how delightful was the surprise. I was ready not to like, I was ready to think "oh, just one more among so many others", but Angry Mom stands out, it's not just one more to my list.

4. Chicago Typewriter
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I'm an aspiring writer, so obviously I identified a little too much with the characters. I also found this drama to be one of the best written, most original pieces I've come across, both from western and eastern shows. This is, for me, one of the most underrated pieces of 2017 (not in ratings, but in overall popularity and hype over it).

5. I Hear Your Voice
Korean Drama - 2013, 18 episodes
I confess: I dropped it one time. I couldn't stand Bo Young's character, and the previous drama I watched with Lee Jong Suk left a bad taste in my mouth so I also wasn't too keen on him (still am not). But I gave this a second chance, and I liked it very much.

6. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
This one is the second one that made me bawl like a baby. And I loved that. Despite all it's shortcomings, Moon Lovers has my heart. There's nothing much to say besides that.
-
7. My Girlfriend is a Gumiho
Korean Drama - 2010, 16 episodes
The cutest piece of work among the other dramas. In this one I fell in love with Shin Min Ah. I fell in love with Lee Seung Gi. I fell in love with this drama. It's like your first love: you can't control it, you simply like.
-
8. Oh My Ghostess
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
Park Bo Young became one of my favorite actresses after SWDBS (yeah, that one), so I ended up watching some of her other works, and I have to say this is one of the best. It's definitely a good ride. Besides, Kim Seul Gi is life too, she only loses a little to PBY in my heart.

9. Please Come Back, Mister
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Like MGIAG and OMG, I fell in love an actress. This time it was Oh Yeon Seo. However, it's not only because I loved the actors, it's because I loved the story. I loved the comedy. I loved the little lessons it gave. I think that a kdrama, aside from entertaining, can deliver life long lessons if well made.
-
10. Queen In Hyun's Man
Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes
Just like I hear your voice, I initially dropped this. Another huge mistake. I don't clearly know what got me to go back and give another try, but I'm glad I did. This is one of the dramas I spent the whole night watching (almost). And it was worth every hour.

11. Reply 1997
Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes
Many may not like school dramas, but there's something about them that gets me everytime. I think it's because they portray one of the better part of our lives. Reply 1997 gives that exact feeling. You can relate with the characters, because you once were (or are) a teenager. It's something that passes by quickly, and that's the beauty of being reckless and young.

12. Shopping King Louie
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Aaaah, the fluffy dramas. Seriously, we need to watch some like these from time to time, and this one is the best out there so far. It's sweet to the point of giving you cavities, it's cliché and it's definitely not the best, but I still have a special soft spot for this.

13. Who Are You: School 2015
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
This had so many clichés and so many things that could end up wrong, but at the same time it ended up right.
Except for who Eun Bi chose, I'll never get over that.Like I mentioned above in Reply '97, school dramas have this nostalgy to them that I just love. The final voice over explains this perfectly. -
14. Prison Playbook
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
I'm still watching this and loving so much I can't put into words. I'll give a better explanation when I'm done.
