Compared to the first season this one is better. They made justice for the story. Trying to adapt it as much as possible with lesser changes from the original story. Of course it's not full adaptation. Hearing Angela's song from the Donghua just made me love it more. Unfortunately 38 episodes are not enough. I hope they'll make another season and if possible they'll use the same cast. Overall I'd watch it again. And if someone can't wait to know how the story unfolds can watch the Donghua: Soul Land (Douluo Dalu). It's as well not 100% adaptation but the concept is the same.
